I just subscribed. You are doing a great thing here! If I could offer one suggestion it would be to consider waiting until the end of your video to tell people to like and subscribe. Most men don't like to start out by having someone tell us what to do especially when it comes to liking something before we sample it.
All topics apply to me. I learn with all your videos. I hear you daily. Please, do continue your teachings. Thank you
What music os this?
truly..much of stoic content, though Hellenistic in stance ,corresponds with holy scrolls and written scriptures,,,...excellent listening...thank you...praise Yahuah

I am finally starting to find peace with stoicism. I was so tired of being high strung and mad constantly. It was going to literally kill me from the stress. Now life is so much more meaningful, manageable and less meticulous. Seneca, Marcus araleus, Epictetus
These Ancient men showed us the way so long ago.
That's wonderful to hear! Keep embracing their teachings! 🙏
@@TIMETESTEDADVICE thank you
Yes they figured life out so long ago and it still stands today!
I agree!
Im 35 and I still think human connection is necessary, I just don't know how much. I still avoid most people, because I know most people are garbage
@@ShinkuGoukilet go of the judgement of other people, you might find one person who is worth all the previous bad experiences you've had
I"ve stop caring about liars, manipulate people, they no longer hold my heart anymore, gave them to God.
"Choose not to be harmed-and you won’t feel harmed. Don’t feel harmed-and you haven’t been." - Marcus Aurelius
One of my favorites!! Thank you!
That’s fine for little things. But I wouldn’t step in-between a gang fight under this philosophy.
Stoicism mostly focuses on the spirit and the mind rather than the body. Of course, these ancient stoics agree with what what you said and know about it if they were still alive today.@@TeutonicTribe
Thanks
Live long enough. It gets really easy.
Right !
ESPECIALLY after the age of 25. I'm 26 and am finally coming to a point of letting go of a whole lot, finally finding that peace within myself and nurturing it fully.
Simply put.
Yeah,we get older and lonelier. I used to think it was sad but now I think avoiding people is a win.
❗️yah - when you're 26 living at home versus having a mountain ⛰️ of responsibilities ( mortgage, cars, kids etc.) Of course U can let it all go - U have no pressures - please 👎❗️

If I had known the philosophical doctrine of Stoicism before, I would have avoided many moments of great pain throughout my life. Thanks for making it accessible on RUclips.
So true
My 97 buick rusted in half today. These videos have amazing information. R.I.P ol buick 140,000.
😥thank you❤️
This is the most encouraging and enlightening information I've heard in a long time. I wish somebody would have recommended this to me during hard times of my life. This short little video contains more wisdom than any sermon or lecture that I've heard from anyone. Every counselor, teacher, psychologist, marriage counselor, ect should pass this information to their clients.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
"It's not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It's because we dare not venture that they are difficult." - Seneca
Wow this is very uplifing..and came at the appropriate time.
All praises to Yahweh our Father and his son Jesus Christ always there when we are in need. Amen to that 💪🏾🔥❤️
Dear friend thank you so much for this wonderful video. HallaluYah indeed.🙏🏾🙋🏽♀️❤️
Here is a quote from the late Joseph Campbell that is food for thought and reminds us all that the bumps in the road shouldn't rule our lives.
Furthermore, we have not even to risk the adventure alone; for the heroes of all time have gone before us; the labyrinth is thoroughly known; we have only to follow the thread of the hero-path. And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence; where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.
-- Joseph Campbell

“Follow your BLISS & don’t be afraid and doors will open where you never knew they existed.” - Joseph Campbell from “The Power of Myth”
I really related to this position of stoicism. In fact, stoicism is the key to my inner tranquility and happiness. I’ve got a lot to think about and work on. Thank you.
Your welcome! Thank you so much for watching!
Sometimes it is important to care. Be careful about not caring…be selective
Yes very true ❤️
Just thinking the same thing! Especially regarding family in my case. I was never able to help my daughters addiction and ultimately watch my beautiful grandchildren suffer as they still do in so many ways! It is important to care, but as you stated- BE SELECTIVE! I tried for years now to help, but it was killing me. I have now , for my own mental/physical health, walk away. I'm on my way to healing, I think, but how to forget your own GC, knowing what I heard, witnessed, dont think I will EVER forget! I try to remain hopeful and pray!
These read as pure, simple imperatives that should guide our lives but make no mistake about it, they are tough. They are tough to read, tough to analyze, and especially tough to follow. I have been studying stoicism (purely amateur) for about two years now and am only now beginning to rein in my reactionary emotions, and I have a long, long, way to go. I do like to quote or paraphrase Dr. Phil though. I like his "Don't worry about what other people think of you because mostly, they don't. And, of the ones who do think about you, they don't do it very often."
I've seen many inspirational videos that haven't clicked with me well. But this video, this one in particular speaks to me in a constructively genuine way that has a serious bearing on reality. Everything you said about this video is so correct and its helping me reflect on the mistakes I've made. I've lived a very angry life full of resentment for the world. Thankfully im only 27 and can change things today. You helped me gain a new perspective on life without feeling angry and resentful. My life has been hell for the past year since my friends disowned me when i stood up for myself. But have no pity, as i believe this is destiny now. I needed this video. I'll repetitively play this video in my headphones if i have to.
"Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger men." - John F Kennedy.
"Western" Stoicism and "Eastern" Taoism have much in common, especially "Be here now" and "Work with nature and natural forces, not against them, and not just to your own advantage."
There is no singular advantage to be had in life, only to appreciate and exercise while we live our natural gifts of balance, clarity, commitment, compassion, and contentment.
I got an email from my boss that caused me some aggravation. However, i took a few hours, and carefully figured out the proper way to respond, and it was very good
No. 8 Forgive others: There’s a fine line between seeking justice and desiring vengeance. Almost like the hero and the vigilante concept.
This is like my Therapy session😮, i wont miss these Videos again

I can relate x
I ask myself “ What would Mr. Spock do?” Remain unemotional, evaluate the situation and decide rationally what can be done to improve the outcome.
in other words, "DGAF as a super power".
If everyone in the world had the “I don’t give a damn” attitude just think what a “wonerful world” it woud be!! -Sam Cooke
These are very powerful !! I can literally see my perspective about things , people shifting , anxieties dissolving wow 👌👌🙌🏾
Man and woman should take care of each other, equally! That way there'll be no biting of eachother because no one took care of the other more than the other!
💯
Yes, definitely agree on that. 👍🏾
"Freedom is the only worthy goal in life. It is won by disregarding things that lie beyond our control." - Epictetus
This is amazing stuff. This is literally taking control of your own universe if you view things from this perspective. Thank You!
😊
this is the universe perspective....Amen
Brilliant, articulate and about as practical as you will find in all the modern self help books put together
Cleaning grease off of machinery as i listen. Very resonating, very humbling, I'm at peace

I like this content. I worked as a critical care nurse and honed my skills at anticipating bad things that could happen, and how to deal with them. I'm 75 and can appreciate stoicism.
I am a screw up junkie. Resentment is a killer in my case. I can't care what people think of me.

❤ I am amazed how my Buddhist philosophy and stoicism are so complementary to each other. I love your teachings and your wisdom. At this point, I call myself a stoic Buddhist.
Thank you. Im glad you have found inspiration form this!
Excellent presentation on the realness of life😮
Thank you! 🙂
Every one of them resonates with me. Amor fati is much easier to wrap your mind around, I'm sure, if you never had to wipe your mother's behind, or forcibly remove her clothing to bathe her. Working on mental peace. This helps. Thank you!
Such a refreshing viewpoint in this day and age
❤
"Stop caring" is another instrument of Fleubrun to turn black women into her kind. Happy Birthday to my Sweet Sister. You are free! ❤❤❤❤
My dad. Thanks
I've been wanting to read Meditation and this has been a great way to get the quick notes while reading through the dense text. Plus you provide great examples to use it our our modern day to day lives, so thank you so much for these. Keep them coming, they're great!
You're welcome!

In Stoicism, virtue isn't just a choice; it's the ultimate destination. Aligning our actions with virtue guides us toward a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Love this

Great video. I appreciated all of the points. I believe the one that really hit home with me was mindfulness. Struggling to stay in the presence can challenge everyone, but mastering that I would say leads to success.
On repeat 💯 Thank you for posting 🙏🏾

Wow thanks a lot
Most welcome 😊
'Resentment is like drinking the poison and hoping that it will kill your enemies' may be was used by Nelson Mondela but it was first said by Buddah.

2:25 Accepting that life is not perfect? I am 13 of the last 15 homeless living on the street. My family and friends deserted me 8 years ago (my Grandma and told me of this 45 years before hand. Concluding with, But don't you let them bother you; they're all just jealous of you!!! The Lord God prophesized this in His Word also. Though I am a king, Hallowed has given me the pathway of a King every single moment!!!
Now I must ask you, is this life not perfect in whatever way it happens until He makes His first return, taking me by my hand!!!!!
