  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl introduced the series to new characters, new features, new tech, and of course, new glitches. This montage demonstrates some of the bugs and oddities that can be performed in this game.

      Haha yeah, that one's fun to play around with. It's funny how attacks can suddenly just cover the whole screen at once.

    I remember messing around online with that bridge glitch, just chasing people around as rob and generally having fun

      Same man. Really miss transformation final smashes. It's a shame they ditched it in the newer smash games.

    This is an oversight by the developer: Jigglypuff's Air dodge animation in Brawl is clearly unchanged from Melee.
    In Melee, the character is in Helpless fall after using Air Dodge. but from Brawl it no longer is. And yet in Brawl, Jigglypuff lifts leg oddly during the Air Dodge animation and then suddenly returns as soon as the animation ends... as it did in Melee.
    the stance in which Jigglypuff lifts leg in the last frame of the Air Dodge animation matches the Helpless fall animation (internally named "FallSpecial"). so... they forgot.

      Huh, I never noticed that! The animation being a leftover from Melee would make sense as to why it's like that. Neat!

    Try eating Jigglypuff with Yoshi right after using the Regenerating Terrain Glitch on her. If you thought she was bif before you haven't seen anything yet.

      That's HUGE! The paused camera struggles with zooming out just to keep her in view! I'm surprised I don't remember seeing this before. Thanks for sharing that!

      @@L0Z741 No problem! I don't know why this part of the glitch isn't as well known, it's been around just as long online but for some reason it seems more obscure.

    I did not know about the Meta Knight version of the Regenerating Terrain Glitch.
    Brawl is a unique Smash game in that it is the only game in the series to not receive any gameplay revisions. 64 and Melee had gameplay differences across different regions. SSB4 and Ultimate had balance patches over time. Brawl didn't have either, which results in a lot of broken stuff remaining.

      Yeah, that's an interesting fact about Brawl. Though despite the gameplay remaining untouched and having some wacky stuff here and there, it's still a pretty solid game to experience!

      I'd be interested in if it could work as a double jump. Maybe with some adjusting and it could be helpful for getting back to stage.

      I'm sorry about that. I tried to keep the pacing fast enough so it can quickly go from the text into the glitches, though I may have made it faster than I thought. I'll see what I can do going forward!

    Good video. I suggest leaving the text onscreen for longer though, as there were moments were what I was reading was cut off very quickly, forcing me to go back. Keeping it there a bit longer would help make the video feel smoother and better paced.
    I like seeing content like this, I hope to see more soon!

      Thanks! And yeah, that's understandable regarding the text. I try to keep the text fast enough so it can immediately get to the glitches, though sometimes I misjudge how quickly they actually go. I'll keep that in mind going forward!

      @@L0Z741 How about this idea then? Keep the explanation of how to perform the glitch onscreen and add extra footage of you setting up the glitch (picking the right characters, setting up the items, etc) so there isn't much downtime in between the glitches themselves? I think that could work pretty well, though I'm no editor myself.

      That could be a potential solution. I think another option may be to condense the wording so that less time is needed to read it, but without changing the meaning. Each idea may work better depending on the situation (and sometimes together), but both choices sound useful!
