His yelling for Obi-Wan at the is both hatred and frustration that he didn't just finish him off.
Anakins children are the only thing that could ever save him. Before them, he had zero reason to go to the light. Everything that kept him there is gone and destroyed, and regardless of intent, it was his fault. Anakin knows this. So going to the light just meant heartbreak, so Vader stays in control because he would rather feel hate then heartbreak. Not to mention, due to trauma, one could argue Anakin is bi-polar, possibly even schizophrenic to an extent.
Yeah, he had a lot of pressure as well being what he was, and always feels like he needed to prove himself to others (probably because of the Council not trusting him).
Tbh idk what the Jedi Council were expecting...they already knew Anakin came in with attachments and trauma (which only grew throughout his time with the Jedi Order), that type of shit doesn't just go away they should've treated him like they would a non-jedi
Someone posted about, and I wish I could remember I where I saw it, about Palpatine yelling at Vader when he was carrying him to the shaft.
