There is something so mystical and alluring about Jennifer Connelly. Like she brought some of that magic from the Labyrinth back with her.

She's married to Paul Bettany? Damn so she really went for that British accent. Jarvis/Vision changed the game in the sexy British accent arena.
I met them once. Such a lovely couple and they had an adorable son who was pretty young (this was probably 15 years back).

I wish her Bettany connection helped Connelly get a role in the MCU. She would be an amazing Morgan LeFay.
@@t.e.burgos3263 she does the voice of the AI in Spider-Man's suit (they probably thought it was hilarious to get the wife of the guy that did the AI for Iron Man)

I’ve been in love with Jennifer Connelly since about 1987, she is sensational. Paul Bettany you lucky geezer.
As a boy he fantasised about being with her. His childhood crush after watching The Labyrinth. Would u believe it? Then again I saw a bit part actress in a TV series and thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen....then two weeks after the final episode she boarded my bus and we had a conversation!
The Graham Norton show really is great. Its so free form and interactive and I like how he orchestrates the interaction and fun
Especially compared to Jimmy Kimmel and the other Jimmy...
Jennifer Connelly is so charming. Very charismatic.

'Roger' is an old expression for sex. It's kinda archaic so that's why the joke 'kenny Rogers chickens' didn't immediately land.

@@JuanFatche well when it comes to birds the line is kind of blurred
@@JuanFatche No rogering is plain old schtupping. Sodomy is 'buggering'.
It's also because it depends how you stress it. If you put the stress on Rogers it sounds like "Forename Surname noun" but if you put the stress on Kenny and Roosters it would land as "Forename verb Noun - does he!?".
I love it how she married the guy with the silkiest British accent ever 😂

I think they like the stereotypical London accent 😂
There are so many different accents in London depending on which area you live in.
You're right, its wrong but when most people say English or British accent they usually mean the BBC way of pronunciation.
As a non brit scottish is à killer ( mcavoy type scottish not the High up in the mountain deal
@@Pixiedust8399 Not really. Small differences isn't the same as entirely different accents. You seem to think the same as Americans, that any difference in speech is a new accent. The only different London accents I'm aware of are RP, Cockney, that Jamaican type one (I don't know the actual name) and Estuary. 4 Is quite a bit but not 'so many'
Not London, more the posh home counties accent from around London.
Elizabeth and Jennifer are classic beauties

For people who don't understand why brits get so uppity about 'the british accent' it's less to do with the accent itself and more to do with its connotations and class politics
The stereotypical 'british accent' is the one heard from the middle and upper class in the south of England. It's an accent that belongs to the most affluent area in the country and foreigners treating the UK and the South as synonymous feed into the historical neglect of the rest of the country
Plus as well as class politics there's obviously the whole historical side of the UK being made up of 4 different countries that have been at war many many times over the years and our accents are used as a symbol of cultural heritage
There are still strong feelings that London and the surrounding areas are prioritised over the rest of the country and so people take a lot of pride in their regional accents which is why 'the british accent' always causes a bit of resentment
So we understand that other countries have regional dialects. Obviously the typical 'american accent' isn't spoken by everybody within the usa, however I'd argue that it's more widely spoken than the british counterpart and has fewer connotations of historical wealth and governance
@@englishnature4209 Don't worry, I struggle a bit with stronger accents myself sometimes!
But trust me, not all Brits sound educated and polished- just watch any episode of TOWIE or Geordie Shore haha. Again it just stems from the fact that British stereotypes are all associated with the middle and upper classes, which can lead to feelings of neglect when 60% of the country identifies as working class
Essentially what I'm trying to say is that foreigners who refer to 'the British accent' aren't really at fault- everybody has stereotyped different countries and cultures and it's not intended to be hurtful. It's just unfortunate that the stereotypical Brit plays right into one of the biggest social and political divides in the UK
TL;DR Class politics in the UK is similar to racial politics in the USA and the southern English accent is the 'white man' of British accents. It's great but it comes with a lot of privileges and so it's disrespectful to assume it is representative of all British people
I would agree with this, as an American. A large percentage of our population speak with one accent, the Midwestern accent. The other regional American accents have fewer speakers. I am actually kind of amazed at the huge variety of accents that exist in the UK, for being a country so much smaller than us, both in population and geography.
Also, we don't have a special, fancy, "rich-guys-only" accent like the UK does, the so-called "received pronunciation" that is learned at prep school or in media training. That's why Americans all think Brits sound really smart -- because your media is flooded with people who speak in RP and are wealthy and, normally, expensively educated. We don't hear many everyday British people from other walks of life appearing in your TV shows/movies/news reports.
Very well said.
Thank you so much for explaining that so clearly.
@@iamsmartacus It isn't a fancy, rich, guys accent, it's a southern accent from around the Home Counties, the counties surrounding London, that used to be taught in preparatory schools as RP or BBC English, but that no longer holds true, Brian Cox the scientist, is privately educated, and speaks with a Mancunian accent. It's true the South is richer in the UK, it's true for southern Germans and their accent vs. day someone from somewhere poorer like Berlin, or Northern Italians vs someone speaking with a Naploli dialect from the south.
The “British” Accent They Like (I Do Too) is Very Traditional London Posh Accent (The Type is Portrayed in American Movies) Which Isn’t Exactly What Everyone Sounds Like 😂😂
Jennifer Connelly amazing
It’s suchhhhhhhh a good show.
I've had a crush on Jennifer Connelly since 2003, and man she still looks great.

Btw "Khaaki" in "Khaaki pants" comes from Indian Subcontinent during the time of British rule there. "Khaak" means "dust" or "tiny soil particles"... Indicating why those pants' light brownish color gave them that name.
Makes a bit more sense now.
I'm still so lost. But thank you for trying. Are the Brits still upset India isn't apart of the dynasty? I'm a 30 year old American and I feel like more of a fool than I normally do.
I, being an Indian, didn't know this. I am guessing 'khaak' would be a Hindi word and even though I can speak Hindi pretty well, it is not my mother tongue. So didn't know.
Te amo
Jennifer Connolly. Damn. Class act. Also, would marry her.
I don't know why people complain or comment something like "but which accent are they talking about?" if they themselves say the same thing about other countries or languages.
Every country has accents, and every region within those countries has accents as well. For me, someone whose native language is Spanish and lives in a Spanish speaking country, there's British accent, American accent, Australian accent, Spanish accent, Argentinian accent, etc. It is tricky to hear the difference of regional accents, even if you speak the same language.
Except some regional accents are quite different from others. There's several very distinct onces in Canada, US, and the British Isles countries. And some in Australia too. Other countries/languages must have some very distinct regional accents
if it is the same language but regional it is a dialect!!!
@@Rony2453 The comment was about accents, not dialects. Dialects are the form of a language particular to a certain region, country, or area. i.e. specific word choice and slang. NOT necessarily the way their voice sounds when they speak.
Nope here we have English accents, Scottish accents and Welsh accents. No British accents. All very different and in the case of Wales a different language. Britain is a collective of 3 counties with specific and individual cultures.
NB. I haven’t mentioned Northern Ireland as that is UK not Britain.
I recently realised Jennifer Connelly is the beautiful kid in 'Once Upon a Time in America'

Pratt is such a goofball, he's adorable
he's also a republican ... so not adorable actually
@@ramenila2369 Grow up
@@sobreaver how was my comment immature? i pointed out a sad fact
@@ramenila2369 I genuinely don't understand this rumour that he's republican. He donated money to Obama's 2012 campaign and then in most recent years has said that he doesn't feel like either side represents him which fair enough; it's easy to become jaded by politics when too many politicians lie or behave hypocritically.
i think also what isn't being said is not all accents all the same, so they may just like accents from certain parts of Britain, its like how some people think they like an american accent but they're used to california, it can lead to embarrassing situations if one isn't aware, though luckily in my case i'm too shy to talk to anyone so i've never been in any such situation lol

It is understood by many that there are many accents in the UK. My question to those complaining about them saying "I love the British accent" is this: are you REALLY trying to make a negative out of a positive thing? Wow, just wow.....
Oh the many times I've heard Brits say "American accent", yet could still resist the urge to go "which one?" Connelly's married to Bettany, ffs. Pretty sure she knows there's quite a few.
Which in itself is very British 😂 verry good at finding stuff to moan about.
