    Did you ever make a video about damage wall because of mold? And it's like my wall always wet. More like there's water trapped inside wall

    HI Steven.
    Liked your video and am going to try this. I live in an old cottage and the back wall is built into a bank so have been told moisture will eventually come through so any fix will be temporary. However I'm happy with this as apart from a bit of damp the house is very solid. I don't have the funds to build a second interior wall so have to just manage the damp as and when needed. Tradespeople don't really want small jobs so I'm going to have to try and sort this out myself. A bit of paint bubbled up and broke off in places exposing brown plaster underneath - similar to that shown in your video. Is it really as easy as you make it look? I am new to diy and am a bit nervous of making it look worse! Kind regards. Sue

    Nice one, can you paint over the filler without primer first. Thanks.

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  3 года назад

      If you are using matt paint then it should be fine to give 2 coats as it only a thin layer of filler. But if using a durable matt or a vinyl silk then touch it up with some matt first. If you wanted to thin the matt down a little bit before applying to the filler that would be even better. Hope this helps.

    If you think you have rising damp can you get a product to paint on the wall.

    • @Inexteriors

      If you think you have rising damp you would need to fix that problem before you start repairing the inside damage. Yes there are a few products you can use.

    Hi, I used BIN Zinsser on wall as an undercoat before painting on top white paint but because wall was getting wet from exterior, the interior wall became like an off white yellow colour and bubbled etc.
    Exterior has been rectified professionally fingers crossed and have left it for a month so I have sanded down and wanted to know should I used the BIN again or should I try an oil based undercoat or are they the same.

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  Месяц назад

      The bin should work if not try the oilbased undercoat.

    • @Inexteriors
      @Inexteriors  Месяц назад

      No they are not the same bin is shallac based and dries fast there fore you can get the emulsion on faster, Oil based undercoat takes 24 hours to dry or longer pending on the drying environment.

      Thanks for your reply. So do you think it was the water within the wall eventually making it go an off white colour? Just concerned using the BIN again. But in theory if the water leaking into the walls has gone it should be ok. Just want to get it right first time as we are due to sell the house soon.

      @@xanderulka8904 Go with the oil undercoat, oil undercoat is what i used for years and never let me down.
