brickwork porch in 9 inch brickwork as an external building without a cavity..customer doesn't want a door or a lintel..All the brickwork is built without string lines it all level work.
Gauge plumb level and square is important to get this right.
we used wall starters to tie into the existing house.

watch you welsh lads for a long time now, love the way you chat to the audience on RUclips, come across so honest what's not to like with the great workmanship from boys also. keep the videos coming Justin. I've done some paving out my back garden using your tips and it still perfect like the day I laid it 4yrs ago, straight and level,

Looks amazing mate. Cracking workmanship there. How did the weather hold off for you? Been awful weather down here in Northamptonshire, East Midlands the past few days. 😂

Good job again Justin! As an aside - is there any additional pressure put on guys like you when you do some work for 'another builder/bricklayer?' Sorry to hear about your shoulder - it's probably been 'Repetitive Stress Injury' getting your wallet out buying your lads the beer!

Good job on the trowel personally i really enjoy bricklaying on my domestic jobs now that i am older hated it when on site starting out in the early ninetys for them first few years as mostly blockwork but stuck at it and once i went to England started to enjoy it more because it was more brickwork than block and weather was so much better ,who makes them concrete brick they look familiar

I still love bricklaying just hurts at the moment. I also enjoy getting the trowel out but most of my stuff now is at back break level 🤣 the bricks are marshalls concrete very good as the holes in the brick means you dont loose gauge.
Good luck next week raining here again 👍

I had shoulder pain for months (I’m 61)- had all sorts of treatments - the only two that worked for me was
    1) hanging exercise - just hang off door trim ( not all your weight) built up to exercise bar, scaffolding, buy a chin up bar ( I’m about 90% back to normal) took 18 months - never seen a monkey with bad shoulders
    2) Childs pose - yoga
    Look at Bob and Brad

I'm not so clued up with the bureaucracy of domestic works so don't know if that's subject to building regs etc but you still got to have it on a footing and potentially run risk of going through pipe etc so you may as well make it bigger worth the potential risk my opinion...neat stuff Justin as always .
