Thank you, I agree with you on painting carvings but in this case I figured the
feathers needed something. I don’t like
covering up the wood grain as well but
with this elm wood, there isn’t a whole
lot visibly to fuss over. Happy New Year!🌝

Excellent carving and video! Might be cheaper for those who do paint their carvings a lot to just buy Red, Blue and Yellow colors in bulk and mix their own colors. You can get some unique blends that way but yeah I think I like them just plain like you usually do or maybe a little stain and/or clear coat.
