When this song came out I got an email from his fan club. He said he would not sing a song he didn't write and he would not write a song that he hadn't experienced. He knew both people that he wrote this song about. He is a true artist.
When the father salutes the casket and BG brings his hands up in prayer to his face often bring me to tears, the way you looked at the camera after seeing the father at the casket says everything
What's funny to me is that if this song came out when I was growing up in the 80s, it would have been on the rock charts. It would not of been considered country.
@@LadyGator1983 I agree 100%. Its like the country artist Darius Rucker. He was the lead singer in the band Hootie and the blowfish. He was asked why he decided to change to country music. He said in all honesty his music hasn't really changed much. The definition of what is considered country music has changed.
Hey my friend, Brantley Gilbert wrote this song. I had to check back in my history, but this is the song that I sent to you requesting a reaction from. I'm so grateful that you did do the reaction. I love this song! "Known for his patriotism and true-to-life storytelling, Platinum-selling Brantley Gilbert is getting personal with his latest single, “One Hell of an Amen”. The brand new video pays tribute to the song he penned in honor of two brave men whose separate legacies prove to be as strong as their fights. One being Brantley’s close friend, Kory, who lost his battle with Leukemia while courageously telling his doctors to “bring it on.” The other is a hometown hero’s best friend named Jon who was killed in combat while defending others in Iraq. Watch their impact in “One Hell of an Amen”." Brantley Gilbert is one of my favorite songwriters and artists. He writes and cowrites most of his songs. I believe I requested this song one night on your live many months ago. It's one hell of a song! LadyGator1983🐊🐊🐊
Just start down the rabbit whole if u think this was good...keep checking out all the others songs he has written I have not come across one yet that I don't like...he is a true performer and Songwriter and From My Home State of Georgia #GODAWGS
Watch the military version of this song. I watch it everyday. And make myself feel the loss of Rogelio everyday. We are sappers we don't run from anything. Especially our feelings, in doing so. I live life everyday. Like it's my last day on earth. This may be my last burger, my last time making love to my wife. My last act on earth. So when the bugle sounds, I will run towards the gunfight not away. Into the burning building. One last fight.

Amazing song. I cry every time hearing it. One of my sons passed as a Marine. And another passed due to a disease. So it really touches me.
Thank you for his service as an army vet I understand. I lost many friends they gave all for us they are true heros
I get chills no matter how many times I hear this, lots of BG music on my gym playlist

The visuals to go with the deep lyrics makes this so hard not to get choked up! One of my favorites of all time!

Very true! These days though, I just like good music. And the way I see it whether it's country or rock, good music is good music you know?

I still say that country music has some of the best vocalists in music. There is not a country singer out there that isn't a great vocalist.
