Of course, when it comes to a real estate investment in a foreign country, it's impossible to know what the final cost will ultimately be, since one can sell the property after a preset period of time. Then again, there's also an "opportunity cost".

$300k is still way too much. The travel possibilities are very slim on an Egyptian passport, not to mention that it’s not exactly the most low key passport… Turkey is a much better option, though more expensive. For people from Yemen or whatever, this is probably who would benefit from it…

    • @TheWanderingInvestor

O questions? I’d think the opposite but I don’t know. But yes it’s a good geographical play. Unfortunately I don’t have that kind of money to blow on Egypt. For a better passport I would, but maybe not Egypt. Wish I got in with Turkey at $250k

yea..Egypt bureaucratic nightmare and poor quality real estate, lack of foreign expats,. This citizenship should be priced at $50,000. The fact of their huge overpriced offer alone shows the nightmare of egypt.

Egypt? seriously? what's next, Breaking news CBI in Zimbabwe? I'm not sure you mentioned what are the advantages of having Egyptian citizenship compared to Carribbean countries. Even if you buy real estate super cheap, you'll still be in a third world country environment ( corruption, safety etc... ).

I don’t know. Will find out once there. Objectively the play in Egypt is new builds. There have amazing Dubai-style compounds at a quarter of the cost and this is where everyone wants to live. Direct to developer is the way to play this market I reckon based on my previous trips there.
