ภัทร หนุ่มทะเล้น กากเกรียน และ ปราณ หนุ่มเนี้ยบ มาดคุณชาย ผู้ที่ถูกฟ้าลิขิตให้เป็นศัตรูกันตั้งแต่ยังไม่เห็นหน้า เพราะพ่อแม่เปิดร้านอุปกรณ์ก่อสร้างอยู่ข้างกัน แข่งกันตัดราคา แย่งลูกน้อง เกลียดกันชนิดไม่เผาผี ทำให้ทั้งคู่ถูกวางตัวเป็นคู่แข่งกันตั้งแต่เกิด ไม่ว่าใครคลานได้ก่อน เดินได้ก่อน เรียกพ่อแม่ได้ก่อน ทุกอย่างล้วนถูกเอามาเปรียบเทียบเกทับกัน
แต่วันหนึ่งตอนที่ทั้งคู่อายุ 12 ปี กำแพงความเกลียดชังของทั้งคู่ก็เริ่มมีรอยร้าว เมื่อ ภา น้องสาวของภัทรขี่จักรยานพลัดตกน้ำในคลองหมู่บ้าน ระหว่างที่ภัทรยังทำอะไรไม่ถูก เป็นปราณที่กระโจนลงน้ำไปช่วยภาขึ้นมา เหตุการณ์นั้นก็ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของคนทั้งคู่เปลี่ยนไป แม้ภายนอกจะดูเป็นคู่แข่งกันเหมือนเดิม แต่ลึกๆ ข้างในก็ไม่เกลียดชังกันเท่าเดิม
จน ม.3 อาจารย์ให้ทั้งคู่ฟอร์มวงดนตรีด้วยกัน ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น
4 ปีต่อมา โชคชะตาก็เล่นตลกเมื่อส่งให้ ภัทร เข้าเรียนปี1 เป็นประธานรุ่นฝั่งวิศวะ ขณะที่ ปราณ เป็นประธานรุ่นคณะสถาปัตย์ โดยที่ทั้ง 2 คณะเป็นคู่แค้นกันมานาน ทำให้ภัทรและปราณต้องกลับมาตีกันอีกครั้ง เมื่อภารู้เรื่อง ก็วีนแตก ยื่นคำขาดห้ามภัทรทำร้ายปราณเด็ดขาด เพราะบุญคุณที่เคยช่วยไว้ ทำให้ภัทรไปขอทำข้อตกลงกับปราณว่าจะแอบแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เพื่อหาทางหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้ทั้ง 2 คณะทะเลาะกัน ปราณเองก็ไม่ชอบมีเรื่องเลยยอมตกลง
ทำให้ทั้งคู่เริ่ม “ความสัมพันธ์แบบลับๆ” ที่จะเป็นเพื่อนก็ไม่ใช่ ศัตรูก็ไม่เชิง แต่บันเทิงใจคนดู
สุดท้ายแล้วมิตรภาพบนความขัดแย้งของภัทรและปราณจะไปสิ้นสุดที่ตรงไหน ความลับจะแตกลงเมื่อไหร่ พ่อแม่จะยอมรับหรือไม่ หรือสุดท้ายจะมีวันที่ความขัดแย้งคลี่คลายหรือไม่

Rewatch comment: I love how the 'pick' scene depicts how different they are and what made them fall for eachother, Pat is so impulsive and care free ,takes decisions at the moment following his heart , like he didn't even hesitate a bit before cutting his ID card just cuz Pran needed it at the moment, which must have been really fascinating to Pran whose life is pre- planned and super organised and his choices are mostly decided by his mother and that's what made him fall for Pat.

Indeed. I haven't seen any of Nanon's past works yet but I already believe his strongest acting weapon is his eyes based from his performance in BBS so far. He use them very effectively to the point we can just look at his eyes and know what his character is feeling. It's also amusing how we can see the shift of emotions in his eyes from this part alone, boy really went from showing fond, flustered, and disappointment using just his eyes in a span of 19 minutes. He's crazy talented.

Well, but they would need to raise their voices and risk being overheard by their parents. Also, I think it has symbolic meaning for them, as a holdover from when they were closer in the past. I think we are meant to enter the story on its own terms, and feel that these boys are haunted by the past, and that's why they keep close all these little childhood objects that relate to each other.
Also the can-phone couldn't even work because it wasn't tensioned. It's kind of funny that Pat as an engineering student doesn't notice this

Now that the series has ended, it makes a lot more sense why Pat has a cup-and-string phone ready in his drawer. Pat and Pran have been using this since they were kids. Gosh, we’ve come so far. Rewatching already.

I love how Pran made his father use a ladle to get food out of the shared pot at home in episode 1 but can eat food that has literally been inside of Pat's mouth. It shows how much he likes him. I can't eat off of anyone but my significant other, so I completely relate to the character of Pran acting this way.
When Pran didn't even bat an eyelash when Pat spitted a whole wonton out from his mouth and even tried to get it from the other's plate when he was challenged tells how used he actually is with Pat's (unhygienic) antics. These two have deeper relationship than what we have showed so far and it was just halted for obvious reasons. It feels like Pat and Pran just picked up where they left off that's why their chemistry, even after all the years they've been away from each other, is still strong.
In the end he even ate that half-swallowed wonton 😭 and yes I completely agree with you lol; they show that younger Pran had already come to terms with the fact that he has a crush on Pat but I'm pretty sure Pat had a big fat crush when he was young too. He's just too dense to realise it even now lmao

This is without doubt the best BL series I have seen. No uncomfortable scenes, just cute happy fighting, awesome characters with an absolutely awesome story and so well played
There are very beautiful BL out there that are masterpieces! For example, A Tale Of Thousand Stars (from the same director as Bad Buddy) and I Told Sunset About You (my all-time favorite).

Rewatching this, I love the symbolism of the can phone. Right now Pat's and Pran's friends are pulling them apart. Pat is literally and metaphorically throwing a line to Pran, with this object from their past, to remind him of their deep connection, because he's afraid of losing Pran from his life a second time.

Watching this again for the nth time and I realized how happy Pran is whenever he's with Pat, or just by merely thinking about him. I love how they gave him the up down smile emoji because its really how his world turns so bright in just a snap because of Pat. There are so many episodes of him hiding how he truly feels. Like when he smiled after closing the door or when thinking about the guitar pick. You can tell how his heart races whenever he thinks of Pat. And knowing they can't be together, but still continue to like that one man he shouldn't fall for, he couldn't do anything about how he feels. He's so used to hiding how much he likes him. In one of the shots of that scene, Pat is laughing and smiling and in another shot he looks so disappointed at his friends, not sure if both were shown on purpose; the cuts were a little rough.
@@kajal1705 Same lmao though I think this would be just a lesson for Pat, not his friends, since he was the only one directly affected because Pran gave him the cold shoulders. His friends wasn't even apologetic about uploading the video, what else more about bullying Wai that night. Goodness, I hope my patience won't run out fast with Pat's friends. They are such a pain.

Though he did not dwell on it much obviously but he probably had the thought once or twice. I really wish Pat will take action on it sooner, his friends' overall mentality is so toxic lol he doesn't necessarily need to drop them or replace them but he could correct them atleast.

This is the best comedy I've seen in a Thai BL series! I'm genuinely amused by them. And Nanon is such a fantastic actor! I loved him in The Gifted and seeing him here is awesome too!
