People feeding them... see People are usually the problem. Take a look at what happened in Lopburi Thailand (here on YT) because they let the population get out of hand. There's a lot of farmland in Florida. Out of control populations of monkeys will go after that produce and drive up food prices. Then those activist won't think these thing are so cute then. They are an invasive species and do impact the environment and disrupt the lives of the indigenous wildlife as well as people's homes.
I have seen them down here in the Ft Lauderdale area. Specifically, Dania Beach. First saw them 2 years ago. Just now finding out what they are and how they got here today.
Those are African green monkeys that escaped from a research lab and have been allowed to remain because they are pretty much trapped in the Ft Lauderdale Airport area. There's also a few squirrel monkeys for some reason... something to do with the bonnet house i believe. That's all you'll get in that S Fl region and it holds at a population of about 50. This Col Tuey Tooey whatever was not the only reason, there was some released or escaped from a load for the other silver springs area monkeys. This group had been culled and otherwise will easily reach 10000s
It was cruel to these animals to release them into an area they were not native to in the first place. Yet, so-called animal rights activists and PETA refuse to acknowledge that fact. Hypocrisy much?

If it was in the 1930 you should bet there is wayyyy more then 1000.00
Ashleigh Vinson yes who really knows? But they have ways of doing counts on them and I think they’ve been done
100% Probably 2,000+ plus they are spreading
No monkeys are a k species so they produce very few offspring
What? Their population has exploded since 1930.
Very cool. Haven't seen em' yet. But I'm looking for the much larger one. LOL
Reportedly there are some in the green swamp somewhere. I've heard it from several people but, never myself have I seen one !!
@@floridalonewolf1156 Says they've been seen here in Tampa and as far down as Sarasota and NORTH to Jacksonville.
Good monkey 🐒

tbh it was cruel to release them but they thrived
They’re not native but it’s not cruel releasing them in Florida, which has a climate exactly the same as that of its native range.
@@xxx.118 dude they have fucking herpes
Catch some of the babies. They make amazing pets!
Florida better take them out only gets worse trust me

With such a limited gene pool it probably won’t take long naturally for them to die out from inbreeding
Leave it to Hollywood to create more issues just figures!
I'm gonna come trap some
Please do. Florida should be killing these things before the state looks like Cambodia.

We’re invasive
Love it. Can hunt almost everything in the US.
They are feral so legal to catch and or kill. There is a guy that has been selling them for years to animal testing places.
No
Question 1. Can ya shoot em?
Shoot some for me!!!
Sadly the federal government protects them.try feeding them rat poison.
Poisonings illegal.
Use a Sling and blast their skull off.
The best weapons are Natures.
They are automatically equipped with silencers
