My parents are very strong Catholics but they were unable to explain the faith with clarity. I did not understand my faith and I could have joined many protestants who tried to take me away from the faith. Although, i did not understand fully, I just couldn't leave the faith. It was the explanation of a protestant convert that reverted me to the faith. Now I am binging on all videos and books Catholic.❤. I thank my parents for raising me Catholic. It's their greatest gift to me.

I find it very sad that the Catholic faith has been there from the beginning, " you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church". Why do we have to defend our faith to the protestants. They protested against the church and left, their choice. When they left, they abandoned the tradition. Now we have to explain ourselves?

Pastor, teach and encourage congregation to find answers in Bible. That is where God speaks to our heart many times providing answers to situations we go through in life. Pastor mentioned he teaches about God's plan for marriage but only thing said is that we should Love. Point it out where to find that important topic in Bible. Much talking and switching subjects but congregation's mind is left in air leaving church clueless like when they walked in.

And WHERE in the Bible do you find YOUR tradition of Sola Scriptura or Bible Alone? Scripture certainly is a “standard of truth,” but not in a sense that rules out the binding authority of apostolic Tradition and the Church. St. Paul in 1 Thess.2:13 even upholds the authority of oral Tradition, referring to “the word of God which you HEARD from us” and 2 Tim 1:13-14 “sound words which you have HEARD from me.” Then there’re also plenty proofs of infallible authority of the Church like the Jerusalem Council and its authoritative, binding pronouncement: Acts 15:29-40: “For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to US to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols…from blood…from unchastity.” In the next chapter, we learn that Paul, Timothy, and Silas traveled around through cities and “delivered to them for observance the decisions which had been reached by the apostles and elders who were at Jerusalem.” This is binding Church authority-with the sanction of the Holy Spirit Himself-and an explicit proof of the gift of infallibility that the Catholic Church claims for itself when assembled in a council. Jesus in Matthew 23:2-3 teaches that the scribes and Pharisees have a legitimate, binding authority (even when they are being rank hypocrites): “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; so practice and observe whatever they TELL you.” The idea of Moses’ seat cannot be found anywhere in the Old Testament, but it appears in the Mishma (originally oral), which teaches a sort of “teaching succession”from Moses on down. Even the Jews never accepted Sola Scriptura. The nature of authority in Old Testament times is illustrated by Ezra, a priest and scribe who taught the Jewish Law to Israel. His authority was binding. Therefore, the overwhelming weight of relevant biblical data is opposed to the central Protestant doctrine of Bible Alone, or Sola Scriptura, and strongly supports the idea of authoritative tradition.

Which elders do you submit to? Are you disobedient to these verses and a "Bible alone" Christian?
Hebrews 13:17 ESV - 17 *Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls,* as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.
1 Peter 5:5 ESV - 5 *Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders.* Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

    Galatians 2 : 16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Love yourself first & read the adjact words of Christ & His disciples. Don't led liar to interpret...read your Bible, "the Bible itself interpret itself" till Today. My dear Catholics brothers & sisters 🙏

    • @srich7503

If the Bible interpreted itself there would not be so many non-Catholic denominations. If the Bible itself interpreted itself IT would have decided on its on which books belonged on the Bible… On the other hand…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century and ONLY the 27 books, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time.
Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church, guided by the Holy Spirit, that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 4th century, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved these scriptures by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?
      Peace!!!

The Bible doesn't speak out of itself.... Reading the Bible without someone to help you understand is a recipe for heresies...

@@johnbrowne2170 Do you mean like the Christmas tree, easter egg, wedding ring? My bet is if you poll 100 people on the street with a pic of these things today you will get an understanding of what Christianity has “turned it into”. Win, win for Christianity lose, lose for pagans. And THAT is the point sir. Turning pagan symbols into Christian symbols for the Glory of God. Because everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, came from GOD. 👍🏻

@@srich7503 Those items you mentioned are not worshiped or prayed to. Despite prevalent misconceptions, wedding rings do not originate from pagan customs. It really depends on the culture. A ring is a gift of love to a spouse. Nothing wrong with that.
However there is something wrong with using pagan origin pray beads. And the sunburst from the monstrance holding the Catholic host is straight out of paganism and look at the way Catholics respond to it.

@@johnbrowne2170 The origin of pray beads fall under the same paradigm i described above. The “origin” matters not to the current glory of God. As for as the monstrance, you will have to show 1st that “my” worship of what im focusing on is the sun burst and NOT that which it surrounds. Once you have accomplished that as i think only God knows, then you can call yourself God Himself. Until then you havent got a clue what it is i am worshiping OR if i am even worshiping at all. 🤷🏽‍♂️. Good night!
