Im not sure you quiet understand how important it is to see for a beginner like me how two pros can fail so hard and scultp things like that too. So thank you so much! It alleviates instantly a lot of pressure.
Happy to hear it :)
I think the left one wins objectively, but if you want a rebellious punk rock 80's camel, then it's the right for sure
Haha I like that!
The right one is like a syd mead alien camel. Like a desert planet camel
Draw/sculpt from memory games are always a lot more fun when someone's final result comes out... err... "imperfect". Henning's camel looks like it evolved on Tatooine.
Haha! It was definitely a lot of fun for us!
Its the human dog from full metal🤣🤣
That's exactly what I thought!
I'm brand new to sculpting and I just spent 3 days on a sculpt that I feel like looks like absolute dog water.
Watching two people I considered teachers roast their own work was exactly what I needed and with perfect timing to! This was awesome!
I loved this so much. It’s refreshing to see talented people make talented garbage 😂
It’s a reminder to be more patient with myself when I’m working outside of my comfort zone (learning a new style, software, workflow, etc.).
I think left wins for the most accurate profile and also because the right one would fall on its face as soon as gravity kicks in, but the right one is strong af so I’m scared of it. 😅
Looking forward to more of this!
It was really fun as well. It's strange getting to that point of frustration where you really don't have any more info left in your minds eye.. And then you just start filling in random stuff
@@FlippedNormals Totally. I do think sometimes it's good to avoid references because it forces you to be a little more creative. Unfortunately, that's not really useful when you're trying to realistically recreate something that demonstrably exists :P
Henning's looks like a realistic adaptation of Kuzco from The Emperor's New Groove after he got turned into a llama
Morten wins.
Also Henning's one head looks like Nina from FullMetal.
🤣🤣
I love this style of videos, they're fun and different and we get to see more of your workflows which is cool!
awesome new format! :D I love it!
I think Morten wins this one in terms of likeness. Henning wins the design of an alien creature.
My suggestion for another contest would be that you get a funny sounding name and sculpt a character according to that name. The one who looks the most like that name wins. How about Marty Mc.Dimpleson? Or my favorite Nerest Snapnurst?
Definitely keep doing these challenges, it was hilarious seeing the results in the end 😂.
I would like to see 30 min sculpt with reference next.
This really shows the importance of references, even with professionals!! btw I think Henning won 😂🐫
"Ed......waaaaard"
You did not 😭
This was SO fun! It was great to see you guys laugh and just be silly for a little while. I do wish the thumbnail didn't spoil the hilarious end results 😂
This was surprisingly entertaining.
Great video guys! I think Morten has the closer likeness, but I can't help but like the jim henson-esque feel of Hennings.
It was really enjoyable seeing you guys try to noodle through problems you haven't solved in advance.
There is so much amazing work out there, it can get to be intimidating sometimes, but this is a great look behind the scenes & it's really appreciated.
(This would be so nerve wracking if I was the one sculpting this challenge fair play guys!)
This is absolutely hilarious😂😂😂 made my morning! Please more like this!!!
I've never laughed so much the whole way through one of your vids before!! Love the challenge, you're both so hilarious, keep up the good work! Btw Morten for sure wins, though Henning's could be a Pantene commercial 😂
Haha!!
This was hilarious 😂😂 good job guys!
this was very fun, hope you do more
That was hilarious guys!
The camel on the right reminded me of the chimera from full metal alchemist, great video. Was getting burnt out but watching a few of your guys videos it motivated me to hop back on and do a few hours!
i think Henning`s will give me nightmares, all it needs are arms and claws.
fun video
It was very fun!
Glad you enjoyed it! More to come
Omg i cant wait for more of this!!!
More of this plss! This is fun :D
Coming right up!
Yay!! Hilarious 😂
left camel has my vote, right looks like a starwars tatooine creature lol
Great video 😂 that was a real laugh 👍👍👍
The one on the right is one of those things they got running around in Mos Eisley in the Star Wars Special Editions
Now--retopo, bake, and texture.
I bet this camel would say..."Edward?!?!"
Please do a follow up video of you both sculpting a camel with reference in 60 mins
12:04 "Big Brother Edward"
Im sorry for this reference
Memo: there's a reason camel toe is called that way
Oh.. That makes sense now
This is funnnnnn ❤
This was really fun! Hope you'll do it again.
Good job and all the best!
right one looks like a skinwalker
That was so wholesome. I loved it ❤😂
Yessss more fun 3D art challenges 🙌 this was great, I look forward to more of this series!
More to come!
Moreton for accuracy, and Henning for entertainment
Without reference still looks better than mine😂😂😂❤❤
loved this video, cracked me up so many times. you guys are awesome! 👏👏
Yay! Thank you!
my vote goes for MJ, but man, I love this format hahah
I'm absolutely sure that if i were looking at an anatomically correct sculpt of a camel, my main critique would be that the legs are way too thin.
But nope.
Morten has my vote, fun video guys thanks! I now know what would happen if an ox mated with a camel Henning lol
Henning's camel looks like it's from a dark souls game 😂
Right one looks like Alien goat.
You should now do the same challenge with references. Just to give people an idea how important they are
Thats a great idea actually
next time switch hands, if you are right handed use your left hand lol
We've actually just talked about this!
This was fun
(Plankton Impression) ALL RIGHT I GET IT!!
References are crucial for art, drawing strictly from imagination/memory is overrated!
lol great video fellas :)
In my mind without seeing the photos left would win, in a kind of clip art way of oh this is camel, but it turned out right was actually more real world accurate!
exactly
MJ definitely wins for accuracy.
Yea go ahead and delete Henning from the company 😂😂😂
This was funny, left one for me
Please tell me you still have the files or at least screenshots of the horses, I NEED to see how those turned out
As for who the winner is in this one, my vote's for MJ
Yes we still have the tools 🫡
Both 🎉are winners 🏆😂
Really fun! I played along. I would've liked it if your video was real time. Morten definitely won this round, but I spent 40 minutes on my sculpt and kicked both your butts!😁
Haha I don't doubt it!
For another challenge, how about comic character mashups? Like what would venom/superman look like? @@FlippedNormals
Hey, look at the bright side! It is an animal! Better than mine
Kind of.. an animal at least
do this live we wanna participate too
the right one could work on star wars 😅
Sculpt white shark next time, no reference hahah
All dromodarys are camels, but not all camels are dromodarys.
i'm sure the winner is : henning sanden
My vote is arabian camel on the left and bactrian camel on the right
Sculpt a Red Panda next time. Dont look for references. Also do a comparison with actual reference after you are done.
HORMSE
Wow..
I just realized I would've won this challenge by a landslide
