Could you do a video explaining things like the compass/ watch assembly and downhaul/outhaul systems (rope types and reasons behind that, block types and reasons behind that, block positioning, etc, etc). I have a very old laser, and so I want to get an idea of what a top end laser looks like. I am sure there are others like me watching this who have either old lasers, or are new to the sport, who would also like such a video
Hi Monty, Thanks for watching. We'll certainly look into it! I know the Compass/Watch Assembly shown on Sam's boat is a one-off design and not something that's commercially available, but we will see what info we can get on the downhaul/outhaul systems.
Now I am quite confused, the private coach that coaches me said that the arrow on the mast must point to the poprivit can you please explain to me why that matters?
I think with the carbon fiber upper section there are two pivots so he said go between them. Yes, on standard steel uppers, line the single river up with the gooseneck (or so I’ve also been told…).
Could you please do a video on folding a sail for laser 4.7

It’s perfectly fine in the foil bag
Carbon top mast? If you can afford this
I wonder who manufactures his mast head indicator
