I remember this song. She was a school teacher. Unfortunately, a one hit wonder. Still great song.
Exactly! You beat me to the punch. This Song was I think from The Soap Factory in New Jersey.
70s music had everything.
The 70s had it all - hard rock , progressive rock , soft rock , r&b , love ballads , and disco , and it was ALL good . Blessings to you and yours!!
Soul, funk !
That's why the 70's is my favorite decade in music. It had something for everybody to like...
@@Deborahtunes it was a party!
A good beat makes for a good song and a good song will stand the test of time
Some songs to keep in mind: Hot Chocolate- "You Sexy Thing", Foxy- "Get Off". GQ "Disco Nights ", Gloria Gaynor-"I Will Survive", Chic- "Dance Dance Dance", "Le Freak" and "Good Times", Donna Summer- "Hot Stuff, "Bad Girls" and "Last Dance" Rod Stewart- (Rock artist doing Disco) Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" Bee Gees "Jive Talkin" and "Stayin' Alive" , "You Should Be Dancing". and "Too Much Heaven". A Taste Of Honey "Boogie Oogie Oogie".

One of my favorites! Gets me moving every time!! 👍🏽❤️
I love Anita Ward!!!
My future wife and I used to dance to this in the 80s. We also danced to Body Talk by Imagination. If you hear it you will know why :)
Oh baby baby baby!!!!!
Now this is One of my favorite songs !!!!! 💜💙💚👍👍
Yessss!!!!!! “ Ring my bell “
Come on now that’s what I’m talking about 😁😁👍👍💜💙💚💜💙💚💜💙💚💜💙💚
I partied off this song in the 70ties and I still party off this song!
Love this song! I was dancing to this in the clubs.
One of my favorites, another favorite"I will survive" gloria gainer
This takes me back to summer of 79', high school and the rollerskating rink. Great times.
You guys are so amazing I love watching your reactions. I love this song and go out to the disco clubs with this song and danced all night with friends. Good memories. No one does that anymore. Please do the song by Ami Stewart Knock on Wood video version. IT's amazing she is like an African Wonder woman.
Ahhh the memories!!!
I started singing the song before you pressed Play lol, remember dancing to this song, disco days
Back when this song was new a friend of mine sang her own lyrics "Just sit back and relax while I put away the tic-tac's" (She was cute but didn't like cooking for no guy.)
If she's going to get her bell ring, she should keep the tic-tacs out...😜
@@jasoncaldwell5627 So worth it though.

@Felita Williams...100%. It was one of the best and most popular dance hits of the disco era.
70s and 80s music was so much fun
These were the best years of our lives and we had no clue that they were.
❤️❤️🥰🥰❤️❤️ LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! You’re right, the 70’s did have the BEST music!!! ❤️❤️🥰🥰❤️❤️
Knock on Wood by Amii Stewart is another DISCO classic about the same time as this hit!
I don't know why they're saying 79,, I was listening to it,, In 78,, true fact
Rock Your Baby - George McCrae and Rocking Chair (the answer) by his wife Gwen McCrae!!!
I remember when this song came out. The skating rink floor would be packed with people shaking their ass 🤣🤣. Awesome song 👍👍. Thanks for bringing back the memories 👍👍.
This song is lit!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Married in 1979!☮️💙
Need to check out Amii stewart's Knock On wood-one of the better disco songs.
This was one of the fantastic one hit wonders of 1979 and there where many. A great one to check out is Amii Stewart's cover of "Knock on Wood".
Release at the height of disco.
Another 70's I would suggest Shirley and company - shame shame shame disco vibe
Haven't heard that in awhile. Nice reaction. Great trip back in time.
I am French and we used to listen this song so disco funky Groove and my parents to without understand what the lyrics really means 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And in France we’re all going to ring … lol
Can we please bring back the 70s and I mean everything of the 70s ALL OF IT
the thing about music back then is that, like most things, it was made to last. singers had to be able to sing the song live, so what you heard on the album is what you heard live. another thing is the music was recorded live. when the artist performed in concert, it was with a full band and singers. that's why most of the people from that era can still the very same song today.
This one always gets stuck in my head after listening to it,lol
Memphis,TN.
This was a mega hit for Anita Ward in the late seventies! Great dance hit!!
If you’re checking powerful electro soul one-hit wonders from 70s and 80s, you will ❤️ the1984 Evelyn Thomas song High Energy. And if you somehow haven’t heard it, Donna Summer’s Love To Love You Baby is absolutely essential listening.
Anita Ward turned to teaching after her short music career.
My 6th grade teacher loved this song. We had lunch in our classroom, because of not having a cafeteria. Being allowed to listen to records during lunch, if this song was playing, she would come in and begin dancing.
There was a great slow song at the same time called *"Cruisin"* by Smokey Robinson you might like...
This song, Kool and the Gang's "Fresh", and Kiss' Dynasty album inspired me to start writing disco rock they were all phenomenal
she retired as a school teacher & was a great one from what I heard.
Y'all check out She's Got Papers On Me by Richard Dimples Fields ft Betty Wright!
Do The Warning "21st Century Blood" (the video)
Love this 🤗
Requesting ,Please do LAY DOWN by Melanie and the Jay Hawkin Singers ..live.
Oh yes this was my jam!!
I sang the crap out of this song at like 10 years old with zero clue what I was singing about. 😆
1979, is when this was released. I was 14, the played it all the time at the Roller Rena, the place would go crazy with all their disco lights. Such a fun song.
Loved this song when I was in middle school. One Hit Wonder... Lots of songs during Disco with that innuendo...KC sings about it.. so does Donna Summer and many others like her lol. I was too young to put that together lol
I was a tween as well during that time. Loved the music and sang along even though I had no clue what the lyrics were about.
I recommend from that era “Get Off” by one but wonder Foxy. Such a hot dance hit - along with many others. I also recommend Musique- girl group- ruled the disco airwaves then. Did we have have hot music - much hotter and more real than today’s!
The 70’s had such great artists, we could go from disco, rock & roll, r & b, Motown ( my fav)💗. Sure had fun back then ☮️🎵💗😍
Who doesn't understand which "bell" she is saying for you to ring?
You guys have to react to Will Smith's Ring My Bell song. It's not an actual conventional cover but more of a hip-hop song where he uses the hook of this song. It's pretty good, from 1991.
If you want to react to a sexy female singer try Sade! I suggest NEVER AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME!
Reminds me of dancing with my mom in the 70s! So fun!
If I remember correctly “The Bell” in question is you know what..... !!
Dumb question (probably), does she mean to call her or does she mean come “ring her bell?” 😂
I think both 😋. It wouldn't matter to her 👍👍.
Love this song... Takes me back to my younger days ✌️🤘🔥
She was on The View last week singing this song for Whoopie's birthday celebration.
Check out Evelyn "Champagne" King's song "SHAME".
It seems to me that the song us playing slightly faster than it should be.
And yes, this song was definitely a smash hit! 👌
2 white female singers who had Big Disco Hits you should check out: Andrea True Connection - "More, More, More" ..&.. Alicia Bridges - "I Love The Nightlife" .....
Queen Mel please react to Fighter MV by Christina Aguilera and Beautiful MV 🥳
the "ring my bell" is about having sex.
A Taste of Honey Boogie Oogie Oogie
I hope you guys were right around my get the meaning of the song
Since you like this song so much then definitely check out Labelle - Lady Marmalade. This is the original version from 1974. Other artists covered this song later.
Another song that was guaranteed to get everyone up and dance. Good times.
Knock on Wood should be next.
Tasha Gardner- Heartbeat.
Everyone from Memphis was proud and excited ! She’s from Memphis and had a number one hit on the Billboard Top 100! The three hottest songs of the summer of 1979 was this and Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff” and “ Bad Girls” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! She went on to be a school teacher but to this day she still performs Ring My Bell around the world!
This was a good video . 👍🇺🇸
I was just 9 when this came out.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yesssss yall!!!!!
Wow. This is an unexpected one.
Mrmphis,TN.
My 80s days
Huge hit!
Fun fact: In New York, when people danced to this, there was a dance called “the elevator” and another called “the rock” where people rocked side to side. Does anyone know about this? By the way, our hostess here has a sweet voice, too!
☮️💙💙💙🔥
As others have said please react to another one hit wonder called....I Will Survive..... by Gloria Gainer....
This was a big hit in the Summer of '79. Check out Bell & James Friday Night. Another big hit from '79 too.

Hi ! I like your Channel reactions😌. I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷 and I can tell that this song was a HUGE HIT around the World... I remember as a 11-years old going to School and everybody listened to that song😌.
I wish you had grown up during the 70’s. We knew how to have a awesome time with friends and family. There was a LOVE for all music! One radio station played ALL the music ( Rock, Pop, R&B , Disco, Blues, & Funk ). I know how you BOTH LOVE Disco & funk , Could you please react to “ Bonnie Pointer singing Heaven must have sent You “ LIVE VERSION on the Midnight Special “ An old sista from the projects will be groovin right with ya. Love y’all
I Use To Sing This Song! Musical Family! My Dad Said Dont Sing That! He Did Not Like You Can Ring My Bell??🤣! I Was 9 Years Old! He Knew The Underlying Meaning
Check out: Viola Wills - "If You Could Read My Mind" ..&.. "Gonna Get Along Without You Now" (2 Disco Classics) ..
Wow...I remember dancing to this one in clubs some 40 yrs ago. *I hope I can get the two of you to react to "I'm Going Down" by Rose Royce.* A mid-70s song later covered by MJB.
Speaking of school teachers that are rock stars is Rindy Ross and her husband Marv Ross that had the band quarter flash, imagine having a school teacher that were rockers, anyway please react to quarter flash's harden my heart, find another fool, Rindy Ross kills playing the saxophone, I don't believe you guys have reacted to quarter flash yet, If so I've missed that reaction, thank you
I'm 52 so I was 10 years old in 1979 and remember this song and disco in general being very popular. I loved it and used to wish I was old enough to go to the Disco 😂
Another one hit wonder from this time that would make us dance: Boogie Woogie Dancing Shoes by Claudja Barry. 👍
I was on vacation in Spain while I was in the army,I danced to this song ,which was 14 minutes in Europe, it was the disco version, the highlites of that night was seeing and meeting Grace Jones. The clubs in Spain stayed open until 4 and 5 in the morning 😀"
Who remembers the disco song “Push Push In The B..h”; I was a kid and loved that song but had NO idea what it was about; now I know why my Mother was shaking her head 😂😂😂
this groove is also with "One Nation Under a Groove" by the Funkadelics...
