Saw your video for automatic coop system that you uploaded 5 years ago where you discussed one day you will change your egg collection box.. And now im watching this video it took you 5 years Lol😂
Thank you for the recommendation. Mine arrived last week and we put it up in our barn. The chickens have a coop but they prefer to stay in the barn and they currently lay their eggs in the hay bales. I was hoping they would start using the laying box. So far they have no interest in the laying box. Any recommendations on what we can do?
At the end of the video you didn’t show anything about drying it in. You just cut a huge hole in the side ur dry coop. How do you keep our harsh TN rain from going in.
Lasts tons of years ? You know ton is 1000kg, so what you’re trying to say it lasts 1000’s of years or you calculate ton as year or a maybe day per kilo ?
I bought one of these, and my hens will NOT lay in it!!!! They will lay inside the chicken house floor before they use that thing. I installed it so I could collect the eggs from the outside, but the only thing it is good for is for me to go inside the house, put the eggs into the box, and then I fluff up their shavings. I hope you have better luck with your hens!
Mine had no issues. I locked them in the run for about 5 days and they figured it out fast. First day a couple eggs on the ground then that stopped happening. You can get fake eggs to put in the box to help encourage them. Also could try putting straw in the nesting box temporarily until they get used to going in then take it out.
Do you have a roll away nest box? How do you like yours?

Hope it serves you well
I love it, I can even be gone for a couple days and not have to worry about broken eggs since it all rolls into the collection tray.
