i truly like jojo, but this entire interview honestly felt like i was getting bullied for being straight. i am an ally, and i grew up loving and accepting all human beings for who they are, gender/race/political views aside. This whole thing just kind of just rubbed me the wrong way. A bunch of kids look up to her and i’m so glad they have Jojo to have them feel special and valued, teach how to be kind, etc. Maybe i’m missing something but i don’t understand how no one has said anything about this yet? Not trying to offend anyone.

I thought about how someone could say that LGBTQ+ HAVE been brutalized with judgement and JOKES from straight people...but two wrongs don’t make a right. Where’s my love and acceptance? i’ve never ever ever poked fun at anyone for sexuality and i’ve never demanded anything in return. it’s common decency to just accept people for who they are.” maybe that’s harsh or ppl won’t understand my JOKE, but somehow it connected in my head. Anyway, I hope that Jojo can at least address this in a way that kids see and understand that it’s okay to make mistakes but it is NEVER okay to make JOKES about someone’s sexuality.
