Slay has loser energy and it started before this podcast with Micah, last season you had the 49ers come to the Linc and punk Bradberry and Slay and the defense didn't do anything, he's a loser, he's too friendly and no one will confront him about it! I love this show. But not to talk about Monday night football and they talking about the Eagles, bills, Chiefs, Rogers. They never talk about no other teams.
The reason for the competitive nature deteriorating from the nfl is probably coming from the mindset of “the nfl is a business”. Now I have no problem with a player doing that because the GM’s and owners do it so the players today don’t care about going out and hurting each other they want to go out there and play well so they can get paid and that’s really all most players care about. When you get treated like a tool you’re not going to literally put your life on the line every Sunday just to win a game. It sucks but it’s true. Only way to get rid of it is to pay guys more or have a better pension plan for the guys who get hurt and can’t play anymore or something idk

Naaaaa. I like when the players have camaraderie with other players, coaches and even opposing fans. Football is already an extremely physical sport. This ain’t life or death. This ain’t training day do or die. This is the national football league who is actively expanding to different countries. I think a lil sportsmanship goes a long way. No offense guys.
When Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell played each other they stayed at each other's house. I remember Steve Nash saying MJ gave him his jersey after a game and there are countless stories of MJ playing golf or having dinner with opponents after the game. Nobody was more competitive than MJ. What somebody does off the field is their business, who cares what it looks like or what people say about it.
You can be friends outside of the football field but on game day you are enemies. I'm a die hard Eagles fan and I feel no type of way if guys from different teams talk and hang out. Remember when they used to have the real NFC and AFC football game back in the day, they always played in Hawaii and all the players partied and hit the beach with eachother.

Dak Prescott and Slay were literally like best friends in college and still talk friendly to each other. Slay even recently told that story of having to run up the hill in college and he was tired so Dak carried him on his back when the coaches couldn't see over the hill.
