      How do you stand having a tube in that long? I have an NJ tube for a few days and my throat is very sore, and even talking makes it worse. I also have an earache, so shallowing hurts my ear. Does it get better?
      I have had one in before, and was worse, but I was coughing up mucus and they first put in a bigger tube to clear out my stomach contents. Had it for a week, but it got clogged up, so they removed it.
      What makes this time worse is I was able to eat my food just fine before, but now with the tube, just makes everything so complicated. Not able to get dietitian because insurance won’t cover it, but yet I have this tube in me. All I have are ensures to put down, but that takes forever. I swear I am loosing more weight now then I was before and getting worse. Insurance is a pain in the a**. I’m just sick and tired of having a feeding tube in me, again. Right now it is not serving its purpose like it’s supposed to, so it just makes it worse on me mentally. Hopefully insurance would go through

    I really hope this comes across the right way because I am really enjoying your videos. I also have EDS, Gastroparesis, etc and from my understanding and talking to my doctor you only usually get a feeding tube if you can not even drink your calories such as ensure. You seem to be eating quite a bit in the previous videos so I am just a bit confused about why this would be necessary for you? Just trying to educate myself.

    • @laurenboh
      @laurenboh  4 года назад

      Liftinginlilly92 No yeah that’s a good question. In the previous video i had to eat all of my food for the emptying study, but i was in SO MUCH pain and throwing up the rest of the day. So while i technically can eat I really can’t keep anything down and eating causes my stomach a lot of pain. The progression of not being able to really eat took a bit and I did get to the point where even drinking an ensure or a smoothie would make me so sick and I lost a bunch of weight and was very malnourished
