Ramsbottom Rides Again

Bull and Cow publican Bill Ramsbottom (Arthur Askey) is struggling to sell beer in his Yorkshire pub after following the advice of his best friend and barman Charlie; and now all his regulars watch tv rather than buying pints. Unexpectedly he receives a telegram from Canada offering him the opportunity to claim an inheritance from his granddad, Wild Bill. So Arthur and his family pack their bags and head across the Atlantic for a fresh start, but Arthur and Charlie are charged with being stowaways and have to work their passage.

I believe some pubs had TVs for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and kept them afterwards for a spell.
