All of you people are missing the bigger problem. Imagine what could happen if all of our government was focused on making the country and the world a better place to be instead of wasting all this effort on "outdoing the other party." This competition mentality is the undoing of us and many other nations.
It should be an exercise in who can service the customer better but not a PR/marketing circus focused on the wedding instead of the marriage. Sadly the right in office are more focused on thwarting Dem progress and spin than their own “concept of a plan”. I think we’re saying the same thing, but I’d say Dems “the woke socialist libs and progressives” (being good things that serve the greater good) are better placed policy and values-wise to service the majority of the country instead of the right spinning lies to that majority to get their vote -then delivering a fraction of promises while servicing the 1%. The whole globe is suffering a cost of living crisis and housing crisis. Soaring profits prove wage stagnation and price gouging contribute to the wealth gap. The right won’t legitimately address that cuz their buddies will lose out. Then there’s climate - what use is hoarding all that wealth when society will collapse in on itself as earth becomes uninhabitable. I guess they could build themselves a bubble or occupy Mars lol. Climate refugees will show us all what a genuinely problematic refugee crisis looks like.

Lots of us were screaming from the rooftops about this, but folks kept telling us NO..."he's as sharp as a tack"! Then the debate came and all these Biden die-hards were singing a different tune, and running around in a panic. He should have never sought a second term, and should have made that clear by early 2023, opening up a primary where we would have more choices. The working class was well aware of Trump's criminality and failed first term. They had a clear choice. It is not the responsibility of the Democratic Party to maintain the integrity of the republic, the Republican Party gave its full faith and credit to Trump. Biden initiated programs and policies to benefit all, let the "working class" feel the pain and reality of "Idiocracy", maybe they will learn.😢

I just searched for “bounty 12 rolls” on Walmart’s app, and the first listing is 12 triple rolls for $33.18. Not sure if that’s the same price in-store, but it’s certainly not far from $40, at a store that A LOT of people shop at. Keep in mind, he didn’t say it’s impossible to find it cheaper than that. I think it’s not a stretch to say it might be $40 at a local grocery store or something, which is where many people might understandably shop for paper towels.
Sir, I buy name-brand paper towels and have NEVER paid $40 for a 12-pack. You must be going to boutique grocery stores. I paid $5.00 for a loaf of bread the other day but it is PEPPERIDGE FARMS, a more expensive brand any way.
I have to say that I am on an island on the East Coast and granted, we pay a little more for things coming over the bridges than they do on the continent. A loaf of bread here, unless you get the crap chemical laden white bread, is $5 or more. I feel lucky when the semi healthy, whole-grain bread that I buy is 3.50 at Walmart, and I get the last loaf. Because the supermarkets here are ridiculous. I'm supposed to eat sprouted bread, but that's eight dollars a loaf, and I can't drive forty minutes to Trader Joe's and get it for $4 every week. Eggs ate still $4, if I'm lucky.
The sad part about the cost of groceries going up is that they never seem to go back down to what would be considered normal. I’m not anti-union, but I believe that the reason why vehicles cost so much is because unions are demanding so much more which has been passed on to the consumer. (Just my opinion) also there is corporate greed. What ever happened to supply and demand? Confusing times.
@tamblyncecil7466 Things went crazy during the pandemic, and the problems with the supply chain, and that is when corporate greed became the worst I've ever seen. You're right, they have not gone down, and probably won't.

@@Caleb_Mandrake872 "Inflation is caused by Government's spending." Wow. The marketplace and the oligopoly that is immune to competition doesn't set prices at all. Price surges are caused by the gov't. Sure thing, Chief.
@NotSoMuchFrankly He's right, govt intervention and spending caused the lagging inflation. Core inflation is at 3.3% yoy and remaining sticky because of the IRA. Corporations dont price gouge when they have 3% margins. This has been proven over and over again. Look at walmarts earnings for the third quarter vs targets earnings report. Then look at which one plummeted after earnings. That expalins why corporations dont have the power to move prices like the government.

People keep defending the Democrats against the charge of being elites by pointing out they keep getting the endorsement from major unions. Problem with that is, roughly 90% of American adults aren't a member of any union. How is it in the interest of the middle class to have a wide open border of unvetted illegals who are supported by American tax dollars while American tax dollars are used to support them. This competition mentality is the undoing of us and many other nations.

How is it in the interest of the middle class to have a wide open border of unvetted illegals who are supported by American tax dollars while American tax dollars are used to support them. The whole point of legal immigration is to be able to contribute and not become a tax burden. When people are struggling to keep a roof on their head and the government is housing these illegals for free tell me how this helps the middle class or any American.
