On the most videos I see the app automaticly zooming out and in, depending on the current depth... is it possible to lock the view? or to zoom out so I can see a second return (echo)?
Can you use it for surf fishing.... Im from namibia swakopmund and i surf fish alot so how wil it keep up with waves wind etc.... Plus if i cant get my line out like the sinker is stuck between rocks whats the changes. Getting your deeper out of the water?
It's pretty cool. I'd just be afraid that I would cast it into a tree branch or something, like I occasionally do with a lure, wrapping the line around the branch...bye bye $300
The Deeper creates it's own Wi-Fi signal to connect to your phone. So you could be in a place that has no cell phone reception and your deeper will connect to your phone.
That sticker is there to preserve your battery health for when you haven't used your deeper for an extended period of time. So basically if you haven't used your deeper for a long time (ie a few months), make sure that your Deeper has been fully charged atleast once every six months. That way your deepers battery will remain healthy for many years.
So the Deeper is 3.5 ounces. so i would say anything from a medium, (3 pound test curve) and heavier is a good rod and anything from 20lb and thicker line. The stronger the line the less likely that you will end up swimming after your deeper :-P
Depends on your financial situation. If you got plenty of spare cash, yes get the chirp. If you got some spare cash, sell the pro plus and then get the chirp but if money is a little bit tight, keep the pro plus and don't buy the chirp till you got some spare cash.

@@jahmarko when the chirp hits the water, it submerges then pops up. In that time, because wifi can't travel through water, the deeper disconnects and then reconnects. Other problems might occur if you put your phone on the ground while casting. Rather hold it or put it in a pocket or even better put it on a phone mount
@@ItsTippToppFishing well thats not exaclty what is happening to me! im using the rod iphone holder from deeper, but the problem is that the chirp touches the water make the first scan i get the depth info and then it disconnects! thats happen when i cast far, but i mean thats not really far is more o less the same distance i cast with a texas rig with a regular tungsten bullet! and when i throw the chirp closer i dont get the problem, im not sure is my chirp have a wifi connection prbolem or whats going on!

I have fished the Gulf of Mexico all my life, used many different boat “fish” sonar devices over the last 25 years. Owned over 10 different power boats. I’m experienced! I purchased the Deeper Chirp model from Academy sports about 6 months ago. I have move inland about 4 years ago and now fish fresh water from the bank or in a small aluminum boat. I’ve followed the directions, made all the suggested setting changes. It doesn’t work very well at all. I wish I could get my money back!
Before I uploaded it I know it worked with "keaton15" I just tried now with "Keaton15" and that worked too so maybe try that with the link in the description of this video.

I've never used it in the surf. I have used it in the sea but not the surf. So I can't answer that accurately. Sorry

Personally I'd run 30lb braid with a 50lb leader. If it gets snagged up in weed I'd want it to cut through it or else I'm getting the speedos out

I haven't got mine stuck yet. But it does depend on where you are casting it

Lots of people say it disconnects all the time and its a pain to use I was going to get one but from what ive seen online they are a waste of time.
I like and use mine with very little issues. I think, borrow one from a friend for a day or two and then make your mind up for your self.

What best line to use when cast this out,
I have cast it with 20lb braid but I'd say a 30lb braid or thicker is a good choice to cast your Deeper up to 100m
