Excellent video, Tyson! I was having a rough day and your video really calmed me down. Thanks!
Really happy to hear that my video is capable of doing that. More videos to come every day!
A snowy day to catch some amazing units! I like how to show us the off topic things that are interesting! Great video Tyson!
Really glad you enjoyed my movie, thank you!
Much respect and admiration for what you do, thanks so much for all of your efforts.
Thank you very much for the comment and support!
I Love The Trains 🚆 Going Through The Snow ❤ It 😊
I am glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
Blowing the train horn in a avalanche zone is like playing a tuba in the Alps.
HAHA love your comment, thanks for it!
Beautifully filmed ❤
Had to wrap up just to watch it 😃
Chilly indeed! thanks for watching
Nice catch. It seemed like forever to see a DPU
Therese. coal trains. are a lot lighter now that the cars are aluminum. Thanks for sharing
Amazing footage! There's just something special about trains and snow...
You got that right!
Snow is a worthy opponent when trying to accomplish anything outdoors ! Thank you for another great video ..
Thanks for the great comment Brett
Briliant rail.movie! Good work! Thumbs Up 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂❄❄☃️☃️☃️☃️😎👍👍👍
Thank you for watching Andrew
Wonderful wintery coverage, awesome catches
Hopefully 8032 can be repaired ok..... those were some impressively long trains rolling by.... Great video, thanks.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nothing more that I love then trains in heavy snow! Great video!
I have to agree, thank you for enjoying!
Great video. The snow just adds to it. Beautiful place to film at also.
Thank you for making us travel and dream thanks to your fabulous films
Thank you for your support to my channel!
I absolutely love the snow! It really makes for some awesome footage.
Great video.👍
Beautiful scenery.
It sure does hence why I headed that direction! lol thanks for your support!
Fantastic video Tyson! Looks like quite the dump of snow, this winter has been very generous with those haha! Great work!
Your right about that! thanks for the comment my friend
I really like that CREX unit, those stripes on the front are really cool and remind me of old BN, Rio Grande, CP etc.. Man that snow is really coming down, huge props for going out into that and filming, I love it!!! That CP sitting there has got to have a foot of snow sitting on it, looks awesome!!! Another solid video, great job!!!
Have made several trips all in wintertime to Field. Nothing like watching red engines as the hemlocks shed last night's snow each morning! Nice video, could you imprint locations for this Pennsylvanian?
@Wayne Spyker Hey there thanks for stopping by! the locations of these videos are around Yale and Spuzzum British Columbia. Approximately 2 hours east from Vancouver, BC. Thanks for your interest, take care.
@SunnySide Rails For this particular train I thought the stripes were a blue and white BCRAIL "BCOL" C44-9W with white stripes across the front, and of course with the snow I really thought that's what I was seeing! once it got closer it was a CREX but much better then having a plain old CN up front nice change for a little bit - Thanks so much for all your support and keeping up with my Channel!
@@TracksideTyson In the snow I could def see how they would look very similar, yep the BCRail would have been at the top of the list but the CREX unit def beats out a regular CN up front forsure, great video man!!!
I love the lonely wail of a CP horn (used to be CN too until they put those awful loud angry horns on their equipment)excellent video my compliments to you, especially for no talking, no stupid music, you are an excellent camera operator and let the subject speak for itself, thank you
those angry horns are called K5HL'S
i love those both horns but i like k5hls better
@Brad James Horns definitely aren't the same now that Robert Swanson is gone and Micro Precision took over, the louder horns are K5HL's and K5LLA's great quality horns and very loud, just not as musical as they were before.
Hi thanks for sharing these ,love the sound of the trains blowing through the mountains ,it was so cool at the beginning as train’s approaching turned the volume all the way up just to mess with my hubby hahaha happy Sunday ,great views and sound ,love from Pa.mountains ❤️
No words wonderful coverage
I remember playing in the snow near railroad tracks in and around Banff Alberta with a lot more snow. I do so miss being around the rails in the Rockies
Thank you for your great comment!

First I've seen large containers atop the smaller ones, kinda cool!
@Donald Stanfield It’s done here very often, also in the United States. Thanks for watching.
Awesome Video. The snow drew me here. I enjoyed the video.

Hi Trackside Tyson, thanks for picking up these different trains in winter. I appreciate looking at this. Good videos...including center locomotive. JABerthelot
No problem, thanks for the support Andre
Nice video! Great catches in the snow!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful footage. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thanks Andre for your support
I live about an hour's drive west of Revelstoke, and we're getting a fair bit of snow too. Forty years ago this amount would be considered normal, historically. Nice video.
Yes I agree completely, I believe that climate change is coming but I have yet to see anything in today's "extreme" weather that we didn't see in the 60s and 70s and even xmas eve 2008 when Vancouver got 3 feet of snow
@Hans Berls Yes your right it was above normal in these scenes but should be the appropriate amount of snow for the area. Thanks for your support and comment!
@Brad James Crazy! thanks for your input
Very good catch! Please the videos comin'.
Thank you!
Güzel video insanı başka yerlere götürüyor.
Thank you
Fantastic footage my compliments
Thank you very much
Looks. Cool
Thanks Albert
The iron sounds 👌
One of the best railroad sounds.
Wow this video is awesome!
This was a tricky day to get around in the snow foreshore I won’t forget that day!
Awesome stuff!!
Thanks for your support!
Woah that's crazy! There is so much ice in edmonton right now lol
Same issues here. 23" of snow in Wenatchee in 16 hours. Messy situation on the BNSF Scenic Sub on both side of Stevens Pass. Things still are not back to normal.
Love your vids....
Thank you very much!
Great video.
Thanks for your support Robert
Great cinematography tyson
Thanks Keaton for your support
Very Nice. Perrones tus vídeos. Dedo arriba.
Thank you for watching
Wow AMAZING 👍🏻
Thank you for watching!
Ex CREX leader, now CN 3924. Cool video.
Yes that is correct.
Interesting video 😊
Thanks!
Awesome
Thanks John
Watching a train in snow I think it's even more cooler no pun intended
Good one! haha
That was one very long train! From the sounds of the wheels it must have carrying a bunch of empties
Trains are loaded coming east if they are intermodal stack trains, and mixed freights, the coal trains going east are empty. Thanks for watching!
Nice catches T!
Thanks Darryl!
It sure isn't 'Springtime in the Rockies!!.
Beautiful video, but it made me feel cold watching it. LOL.
I made sure to add the extra video effects for the cold feelings and it seems to be working on multiple viewers! LOL
Esto es lo ke más me gusta verlos en la nieve
Really glad you enjoyed this video, Thanks!
Nice video my friend !
Thanks a lot!
@Trackside Tyson... Iooks like CP 8032 Could use some Wreck Repairs.. also were Trains allowed to Pass the Damaged unit that was on the Siding??
Yes the engine was stored in the back track, trains running on the mainline can run by no problem.
Gostei muito lindo vídeo Rio de Janeiro BRASIL
Thank you for your support from Brazil!
A snow covered CREX cab actually looks good.
I like it, thanks for watching.
great video friend, best regards from Poland 🤝👍👍
Thank you for watching
Nuevo Sub excelente video amigo saludos desde México!! ✌🚂🇲🇽
Thank you for your support from Mexico!
I forgot how nice those coal loads sound going bye been awhile since I heard one not many come through if any at all where I live.
I also do love the sound, thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
As an ex-Chicagoan, presently Floridian, and hopefully Australian, I knew, and loved, BC. But Queensland calls: Imagine awakening in Tin Can Bay, after sending a msg to tourists re sharks. Or Noosa, next to a lady whose life is teaching dirty stories to loraketees.
I'm a New Subscriber Great video my friend.
Thank you for subscribing and supporting!
❄❄❄❄ Have a great weekend!! ❄❄❄❄
Thanks!!
The 1st train, CN, certainly showed the history of CN container paint schemes.
I missed the captions at the first, so, I wasn't sure which side of the border it was on, until the Canadian Tire containers went by.
Thanks for watching, I have more information below In the description.
Take care sir 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for watching and commenting Ravi
I'll bet that Sasquatch likes trains
Yes he does
Wow, all that snow is awesome, but keep it up there! Have you caught any of the former UP SD90s that CP has acquired?
Most of its melted thankfully. Yes I have got CP 3649 and it is uploaded on this channel. Thanks for your comment and support.
CN3924 is parked northbound on hwy 17. 01-09-2022
Thanks for the comment
They keep on keeping on . . . . Another great edition, thank you. What's the story behind 8032? Thought she might be tied down until I saw the damage.
Honestly not to sure, came across it pretty banged up. Thanks for watching Robert!
I think it was one of the locomotives that derailed during the mudslides in late November
What is with those oversized containers on top of the smaller ones, never saw before. I first thought maybe a delivery strategy, top ones off first... But they all were consistently with the larger on top. Maybe didn't fit on the railcar? How to prevent they slide off.. Grooves or so? 😜 Just loving trains without a lot of knowledge 😆😍 hi from Kitchener 🇨🇦🙋
Bigger containers don't fit on some cars, the containers have pins to keep them locked down on each corner ensuring that it doesn't go anywhere. Thanks for your comment!
Longer box units on smaller ones looks unstable ...what they thinkin ?
Definitely not unstable this is very stable and normal for use in Canada and the United States with intermodal trains. Thanks for your comment.
Many greetings from Germany Rhein side Düsseldorf....Was ist Detail? Tolle Winter Impressionen Video mit Train. ☃️☃️☃️🚂🚂🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚂..Ein Meister Werk an der Kamera..

How on earth could you go out in an avalanche warning?? LOL great video
The highway was closed at Yale because of an Avalanche, so I stayed trackside just outside of the avalanche zone area, once they re-opened I ventured out to get CP 8032 covered in snow. Thanks a lot for your concern! Haha
@@TracksideTyson Makes sense, lol
Why are the long boxcars placed on top, are they empty?
They don’t fit on shorter well cars, they can be safely stacked above. Thanks for your comment.
Maybe you can tell me which railroad is bigger CN or CP
CP is half the size of CN, being the smallest class 1 railroad in the US, although CP is going through a merge with KCS "Kansas City Southern" so things may be changing soon for CP soon. Thanks for your curiosity questions are always welcome.
Hi Tyson; Another great production right here !! Any idea what unfortunate incident befell CN 8032 ? It does look like it has been sitting there for a long while. Well, I guess that is by Ontario snowfall amounts. I suppose in BC it could have been there for maybe a couple of hours. lol. I really enjoyed all of the snow takes. Hereabouts we can only hope to get the amount of snow you enjoy for your shooting locations. I say 'enjoy' , but I am not the person who has to tackle the almost certainly difficult driving conditions. All of your takes were beautiful ones. So a huge thumbs up and thanks to you for this film. James.
It hit a rockslide and derailed while leading a coal train (CN 730). When BC (200 mm of rain) experienced the atmospheric river back in November.
@@DavidWsTrainVideos Thank you David. I hope that the crew were uninjured. James.
@Frog and Flange Video It was sitting there for a bit! thanks to Dave for the information but before coming across the unit I had no idea. The snow will be melting soon warm air coming. Thanks for all your support!
@David W. Thanks for the information David
@@TracksideTyson NP. It is a pleasure always viewing your creations ! James.
CN Q112: Thornton Yard (Vancouver, BC) => Brampton Interterm (Toronto, ON).
Why is there a sign that says derail on it? And what doz it really mean ?
It means there is a back track with a derail in position so if a train car were to roll out of the back track/siding onto the mainline it will derail the car before it goes face to face with any trains or other problems. Thanks for watching!
Incredible. how bad was the derailment?
I Don't believe it was that bad, but the situation throughout BC with flooding and washouts was severe. Thanks for watching!
Unbelievable for me as a European these huge trains. I wish to be with you in BC. I've also done a few railway films in Switzerland and these films got me 'train spotting fever' again. Are there also shots of marshalling yards and shots from the air?
Glad to hear you like trains to! Thanks for stopping by and watching my movie!
CN Z112: Deltaport Interterm (Delta, BC) to Brampton Interterm (Toronto, ON).
These stack train length from 180 to 220 well cars.
Former CREX units, CN bought them now.
That's correct, I have in my description "EX CREX" doesn't fit in the title I chose.
Very nice catches, Tyson. Looking out the window, I think the snow (or another fall just like it) has made it over to the eastern slopes here in central Alberta. Poor CP 8032 looks like its going to need more than booster cables to get back on the road - looks like its got more problems than CP's "planned maintenance." Maybe it's just me, but if I'd was spending the kind of money one of these costs to buy, I'd be proactive about servicing. With the tonnage moving through, and the amount of leased and run-through power we see, I do wonder sometimes. But that's the "engineer's voice" - who knows how they figure out cost/benefit. If it was an old GP9 or MLW headed for the dead line . . . Anyhow, time to fire up the old Ariens ('74 and they don't build 'em like that anymore) and get after the overnight dump. Take care, stay warm, and many thanks.
Yeah not sure where it got banged up but probably somewhere close, it should be taken in but with this amount of snow they will need to plow the backtrack out. Thanks for watching Jim!
I worked for one of the Canadian Railways (and as such had to sign an NDA) and I can tell you first hand that most equipment is only serviced when it's broken and it breaks a lot ,unfortunately a lot of it is becoming long in the tooth.
How are they able to haul such long trains with just three locomotives?
I’ve seen long trains with 1 engine, three will be just fine!
What's with the engine on the siding abandoned?
It derailed from a slide a couple months back.
@@TracksideTyson I saw a description just after posting my question. Thanks for the reply.
Stupid question I see the engines on the train and sometimes there will be one or two running backwards. Why is this?
@Steven Ray There is no given reason other then not having to turn power around or add engines on the tail end which would be the head end when they depart, you will see this with coal trains and intermodal trains mostly with the remote units facing a way to lead, if positioned as mid dpu it’s not important what direction for use. Thanks for your curiosity and support!
@@TracksideTyson thanks
