Surely something for all Indians to think about.
India does not rely on tech to the extent Israel does. The LoC has a layered defense that is manned unlike Israel. We've had two decades of experience. Small groups are harder to detect and might get through. The question can more numbers succeed? And the answer is no. Not without risking detection. So we are limited to pinprick attacks as Uri & Pathankot have shown. This commentator should have spent more time explaining the current system which reduces infiltration by 90% than getting into history abroad.
The print loses credibility of its neutrality when it sources The Wire.
The Wire is like sourcing someone further to the right of fox news in US.
Only thing The Wire is hard left.

Not only LOC, remember the attack in Mumbai, the attack on Parliament ... they are like this 7 Oct attack .. on civilians deep inside India

India has not occupied kashmir , kashmir relinquished its autonomy to india upon invasion from pakistan in the past. Israel has occupied Pstine land since 1948 and is a known practiser of apartheid. I agree with some of what he said , however we are looking at protecting our own borders (unlike the French) with lots of soliders unlike Western armies. Intelligent walls can make soldiers on the ground aware rather than replace them

Drones that are constantly scanning the border with infra red at night. Large learning models can analyze movement videos and distinguish between civilians, animals and potential terrorists. They may not be able to completely stop infiltration but make it significantly difficult.

It does not matter that the title is factual, the narrative is what matters. People will not look beyond the word DEFENCE while sharing or disseminating this video. @@RushavMohanty Video is about border defence. Not about conflict. It was border that was breached. There is no geopolitical consequences of wording of news organisation. News organisation reports with context. The context here is comparison of different methods to control illegal breaching of a border. It doesn't endorses particular view or idea. It simply analyse it.
External affair minister have to use the words carefully by taking context of our relationship with all partners in the matter. News organisation should report based on the matter at hand.

Please forgive me for not being the jingoistic nationalist. With due respect I must say this video presents comparisons and discussions that won’t do good in the long run.
Even with all the tit for tat history, Pakistan and India comparison should be more like US-Canada border, or even better, Schengen model.
Presenting India as French occupying North Africa, or Israelis facing Hamas goes against the history and culture of the region. These are false comparisons which only encourage extremism in the region.
For Indian products, Pakistan is the biggest market in the region. It is roughly 8 times the size of Afghanistan, 2-3 times the size of Iran. Add the shared culture, songs, food, and clothing and we have win win situation for everyone.
It us upto us to focus on positives instead of negatives.

Indian constitution always had secularism in it's heart. We built nation for all. Not for particular community. That is what the vision of our founding fathers was. Patel, Bose, Bhagatsingh, C rajagopalachari included.
The basis of rejection of two nation theory was secular state. The constitution gave fundamental rights in which religious discrimination was explicitly outlawed.
Edit - out 50 Muslim majority countries, 22 are secular nations.
What about borders which are populated by substantial number of people from other religious groups like Buddhists(Ladakh, Himachal, Sikkim and Arunachal), Christians (Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram), Sikhs (Punjab), Muslims (J&K, West Bengal) and Tribals (Rajasthan, Gujarat, Majority of NorthEastern region and J&K)?
