I play Arms as my Main and my Alt is Enhancement and let me tell you, this spec is tough lol. If you play a brain dead class like I do, be ready to zone in when you play this one. It’s taken me some time to get the rotation down, but it’s super cool to pump numbers with this class. 10/10 would lighting bolt again
I've always loved the fantasy of a shaman, but could never really get into one, despite being an altoholic. Recently I tried one again and I've been absolutely loving it! It's so fun, both enh and ele.
I always loved Enhancement Shaman but i quite it because it lacks survivability. In high key it's very easy to die. A good dps is a dps alive. I struggled a bit too much staying a live. But it makes me want to retry it with the cool disgn they got and we wanted for sor long!
And stole elementals signature spells while you were at it 😂. I love enhancement being were it is, as an elemental main, I am so jealous though enhancement doing more damage with elemental abilities, not to mention the lava lash spreads flameshock. In making the elementalist build rock, they kinda gutted the original fantasy of enhancement and killed elemental while they were at it.
I main Enhance and what helped me get really good at it is the Hekili priority rotation addon, it helps you understand the rotation pretty well but your understanding of the spells as you play the class more help you improve the rotation the addon suggests. You will top meter boards in no time
@@Musiclover4822 Enhancement's fantasy hasn't been gutted. You're still using elemental weapon strikes. You're still getting buffed by intelligently peforming your rotation. Spreading flame shock with lava lash went as far back as cata. You can still do fine damage as Elemental and it's far less prone dps loss through making a mistake .
@@keksune8508 Well it is not about stormstrike and windfury procs anymore at all. And elemental damage is not fine at all, abysmal aoe damage. Earthquake is the worst spender in the game, and fire build does not scale well, as our whole build is centered around the damage of builders. The only fight where elemental is decent at currently, is spread out cleave council fights. Of which there are 2.

you should look at Warcraft logs. Find a top Enh Sha and look at their Casts using the Timeline view. Shows their exact rotation and priorty per fight@@Mikesart98
Request to discuss current state of Balance Druid next. No changes for a long time is a good thing. I personally dont mind being being A-B tier damage on some fights, but the encounters where we should be topping (sustained aoe fights) are far in between, and most quick aoe pulls are dominated by classes with bursty aoe/cleave abilities, leaving balance druids practically wasting Starfall due to it's slow ramp up. What do you think of re-working Starfall so that it still retains the overall dmg output, but does it in half the time? Starfall is great overall, but it's most recent iterations have made it feel more like a passive area dot rather than the iconic spell that it was back then. Literally Tyrande blow up a bridge. Casting Starfall should be more a big deal rather than just an astral power dump or background aoe damage. Thoughts?
Maybe adding back the splash damage as baseline, or add something like the pvp talent for pve.. goldrinn's fang makes starsurge more satisfying so something like that? But mostly, I think Starfall should do the same amount of damage in only 3secs.. I wont mind a 1 sec cast time or an increase in AP cost... #makestarfallgreatagain
I get your point. Until you hit very high keys, doing sustain dmg is fairly frustrating. This is even if you are top tier on the very highest keys. Because let's face it, a lot of people play on lower levels where Havoc, BM or others are just wrecking trash packs before you get going.
I have playing enh shaman as main before and alt ret pala. And then I switch to paladin, because have more survivability , more utilities and it’s easy to play.
I think one of the main problems for enhance is the lack of passive or low cost self healing. It's strong, yes, but even if it saves you it feels bad to lose the damage of a 10mael fully amped elemental blast. Personally thing they should make their selfhealing kinda like feral. Every time you use 10 maelstrom weapon, gain an instant cast amped heal... could even extend it to hex for incorp. Then they'd probably just need a 2nd weaker defensive. Maybe kinda like the warlocks low cooldown absorb.
Yeah i Need to know which ability u usw After a another one in combi with ur stacks to spend at the correct time but u can use hekeli its Helping a lot of players with classes Like These for prio/rota however
I think enhancer has too many Buttons to press. I Need so many modifier macros to have everything in Range to Press sometimes are 3 Spells for one button with Shift, ctrl and normal button
It is good but there is so much to keep track of and such a specific rotation to do decent damage. I have one got to ilvl 478 and just lost all interest with the class if I’m honest. It’s a headache class with nice visuals. Don’t get me wrong I’ve mained shaman since like burning crusade, it’s good but far from perfect.
Enhancement is currently my ALT. As Holy Pally is my main, the struggle is real going from Holy to Ret. Enhancement is fun but agreeing with everyone here, so much binds compared to Ret lmao! Just something I probably gotta get used too.
i think enhance is really fun this expansion, and elemental too! only thing i'm not super excited about is the class tree, but all hybrid classes kinda have a meh class tree imo
i main enhancement for a few years now and i have to say the target cap from lava lash spread is kinda meh and the missing defensive aswell. but overall it's kinda fun and i don't wanna miss playing this class!
Unless you play with some weird comp that really really needs you to have a third aoe stop, there is no reason to play sundering this season in keys. It is not a dps increase over just putting a second point in ea without the s2 tier. Some super high push teams might play wft instead in some fringe scenarios but realistically 2 points in ea is always the play. I'm assuming the build shown here is from some guide that hasn't been updated or is meant as a starting point in very low keys where things die in 2 globals and you might get more value from bursting with sundering.
Enha is so awesome, but somehow I still love Elemental more. maybe I am too lame in melee and standing in everything, or running from everything and NOT doing dmg. Ranged is for me, but enha is so much fun, it is even impossible, it is closest class/spec we have to battlemage. Ele is just in my heart deeper. EDIT:Typos
I may be in the minority, but I had a lot more fun in Shadowlands w/ the Venthyr covenant, maybe I'll give it another go, but I wasn't impressed with Dragonflight changes.

Eyo Enha main here, currenty doing 23-24 keys. Having tons of fun but I miss some better defensive tools and for the love of god - at least 1 uncapped AoE blasting ability. Basically on up to 6 targets u SLAP but the higher the amount of mobs pulled the less dmg I do. For example Tedious Throne 1st pull when you go full LOK'TAR OGAR with bloodlust and many mobs I do like tank+ lvl dmg which compared to my Ret friend gigblasting all the momba at the same time feels just sad...

You would not get uncapped AOE without giving up being the best in prio target dmg. I absolutely prefer excelling at the latter than being another spec that does better in larger pulls.
You don't do that much, spreading lashing flames to amp up Flame Shock is only necessary if the target is alive long enough for the amped Flame Shock to do most of its dmg. That's around 18 seconds (out of the 24 seconds duration). Most often you have some prio dmg mob in the group anyhow and funnel into that one.
I liked shaman in BFA when it was all about hitting stormstrike, lava lash and you were actually a melee hitter, now its just a melee elemental throwing lighting bolts, lava bursts, chain light etc. If I'm playing enhancement I dont like pressing those buttons, hopefully they change it back to a hitter instead of casting spells.
Probably the best patch enhance has had historically in terms of gameplay so if it feels incredibly janky chances are you don't understand every moving part in its kit. Its a very daunting class at first but once it flows it flows sooooo well.

Button to proc frost shock, button to prock storm strike, button to proc lava lash, 2 buttons for flame shock.... too much! Paladin has a smooth buttery rotation no matter the build no matter the gear no matter time spent with the class. Yes, you can optimize it if you play it for 1000 hours. But i shouldn't have to play for 1000 hours to go "OHHHHHH!! I see why this is good"

My old main till I fell for dev. Picked it up the other day to get him caught up and man I miss enhance! Definitely more of an elementalist than a lightning build person.
I've mained enh shaman for years....the moment in SL they forced us to use prim wave I stopped playing it. For a time in DF it was nice to play with the storm build. But they again push this way of playing it. I hate it and although performs a litle better its neither rewarding nor fun not according to the enhancement fantasy.
Far from perfect more Defensive capability needed, and slight increase in dmg. There needs to be a better payoff for the complexity of the spec, and the dmg numbers simply don't reflect that unfortunately. Not when other metas have far simpler rotations and the numbers are high. Enh always doesn't get the respect it deserves in that regard.
Well. I'm playing enh up oto 25M+ atm and I'm always at the bottom of the DPS (around 200k in total) the issue is survivability. Everything one shots you. Other classes has faaar more survivability then this sh.t. If you don't want to get frustrated play other class. Other thing to mension. You gear doesn't scale with your DPS as it should. So with lower gear you will do more then other classes but with higher gear you sux in dps. I don't want to even mention open world PVP when enh shaman is getting eaten but pretty much every class with astral shift in use.
Screwing up your rotation is horrible tho! Not getting price feels bad but baby when shit is poppin it POPS! I love enh…switch from feral Druid cause eww they bad imo
How do you all think survivability is bad. No other spec have I been able to keep myself alive easier. Just use healing surge. Spend maelstrom on heals too.. you all make the mistake of always spending on offensive abilities. This is a fighter spec. A bruiser. Stop playing it like a mage. This spec is the most misunderstood spec and the problem is really just you guys. Skill issue. I main this and it rocks.. you tourist call for rework cause you spent 2 minutes on training dummies.
Playing enh shaman since 2006 , and let me tell you season 3 and season 4 enh is the worst, it's not fun to play his Aoe is about funneling and relaying on flame shock , it's just awful ..

No, it isn't. I don't like the abilities using 10 maelstrom. They have far too many buttons. Chain harvest was way more fun than the covenant ability they have now. They do have a lot of interrupts proba ly too many.
yes, but i got bored of 2x 1h, i played elemental from WOTLK to Legion, then in BFA swapped to enha till now, but it's just boring, and the fact that i am forced to play elementalist build because of my tier set, a build that i hate made me swap mains, they could make enha nice, make a 4th spec that's 2H, bring 2h enha back, all in all, for now enha is boring
You can easily play storm despite the tier set for anything up to 22s. However Storm is bad regardless of the tier set. You bring an extremely flat dmg profile and are still target capped for most of your tools.
Elemental is better, smoother and not bloated Enhance needs a complete overhaul, the multiple builds thing is bad, frost shock and ice strike are annoying
enhancement was garbage until they added lava lash spreading flame shock in season 4 of shadowlands. it's what made the elemental build with necrolord work. ele needs something that reliably spreads flame shocks as well. also, just last week they discovered that the avoidance defensive skill in the class tree increased aoe damage taken by 2% instead of reducing it by 2%. they just fixed it, but it's likely a 4% aoe damage reduction buff now.
i also love the storm build as it's one of the best ST burst builds in the game. So fun to hit those cds and blast on pull. just not as good as elemental overall.

Hekili is a SUPER good addon for rotation help if you want to pick up enh shaman
youre going to be 10-20% behind a good enhance that knows their rotation vs. blindly following hekili.

I love spellblades so im happy i finally discovered the shaman. With hekili and simming my profile for it I became a god.

Really fun spec, but the tab targeting just kills me. I main feral druid so I am used to do, but enh its way more apm and just stress me.
I only play the Storm build in enhancement because its the easiest. But after watching this im considering walking down the normal path XD

My old main till I fell for dev. Picked it up the other day to get him caught up and man I miss enhance! Definitely more of an elementalist than a lightning build person.

We do, but Enhance is hardly an underdog, spec slaps
I've mained enh shaman for years....the moment in SL they forced us to use prim wave I stopped playing it. For a time in DF it was nice to play with the storm build. But they again push this way of playing it. I hate it and although performs a litle better its neither rewarding nor fun not according to the enhancement fantasy.
Far from perfect more Defensive capability needed, and slight increase in dmg. There needs to be a better payoff for the complexity of the spec, and the dmg numbers simply don't reflect that unfortunately. Not when other metas have far simpler rotations and the numbers are high. Enh always doesn't get the respect it deserves in that regard.

Well. I'm playing enh up oto 25M+ atm and I'm always at the bottom of the DPS (around 200k in total) the issue is survivability. Everything one shots you. Other classes has faaar more survivability then this sh.t.
If you don't want to get frustrated play other class.
Other thing to mension. You gear doesn't scale with your DPS as it should. So with lower gear you will do more then other classes but with higher gear you sux in dps.
I don't want to even mention open world PVP when enh shaman is getting eaten but pretty much every class with astral shift in use.
Which class do you recomend? For PvP and pve?

Screwing up your rotation is horrible tho! Not getting price feels bad but baby when shit is poppin it POPS! I love enh…switch from feral Druid cause eww they bad imo
Elementalist rotation it s too complicated. In lower m+ mobs just die before you had spread your flame shock.
Kind of the same with balance, affliction, unholy, shadow, assassination, Feral and so on, just do higher keys, means you are that good :D no joke

How do you all think survivability is bad. No other spec have I been able to keep myself alive easier. Just use healing surge. Spend maelstrom on heals too.. you all make the mistake of always spending on offensive abilities. This is a fighter spec. A bruiser. Stop playing it like a mage.
This spec is the most misunderstood spec and the problem is really just you guys. Skill issue.

Playing enh shaman since 2006 , and let me tell you season 3 and season 4 enh is the worst, it's not fun to play his Aoe is about funneling and relaying on flame shock , it's just awful ..

No, it isn't. I don't like the abilities using 10 maelstrom. They have far too many buttons. Chain harvest was way more fun than the covenant ability they have now. They do have a lot of interrupts proba ly too many.
Loved chain harvest stopped playing after it was removed

yes, but i got bored of 2x 1h, i played elemental from WOTLK to Legion, then in BFA swapped to enha till now, but it's just boring, and the fact that i am forced to play elementalist build because of my tier set, a build that i hate made me swap mains, they could make enha nice, make a 4th spec that's 2H, bring 2h enha back, all in all, for now enha is boring
You can easily play storm despite the tier set for anything up to 22s. However Storm is bad regardless of the tier set. You bring an extremely flat dmg profile and are still target capped for most of your tools.
But hey, Outlaw is also good :D

Elemental is better, smoother and not bloated
Enhance needs a complete overhaul, the multiple builds thing is bad, frost shock and ice strike are annoying
enhancement was garbage until they added lava lash spreading flame shock in season 4 of shadowlands. it's what made the elemental build with necrolord work. ele needs something that reliably spreads flame shocks as well. also, just last week they discovered that the avoidance defensive skill in the class tree increased aoe damage taken by 2% instead of reducing it by 2%. they just fixed it, but it's likely a 4% aoe damage reduction buff now.
i also love the storm build as it's one of the best ST burst builds in the game. So fun to hit those cds and blast on pull. just not as good as elemental overall.
