The Real Reason We Don't See Much Of Uma Thurman Anymore

  • Uma Thurman was once one of the most in demand actors in Hollywood. The versatile star has done a little bit of everything, from romantic comedies, to sci-fi thrillers, to martial arts action films. While many of the films Thurman has starred in tend to be less than critical darlings, she’s always been a fairly bankable leading lady.
It’s been some years since Thurman has starred in anything truly of note, and while she’s still putting herself in front of the camera here and there, she’s been investing her time into a lot more than just film. Here’s the real reason we don't see much of Uma Thurman anymore.

What is your favorite Uma Thurman movie?

Quite a few years ago I met her at Disneyland Paris. She was with her kids, and not wearing any makeup, and just in jeans and a jumper. At first I wasn't sure if it was her, then I looked down at her feet..... it was definitely her. We were next to each other with our kids watching one of the rides, when she turned to me and asked if I thought the ride was too scary for our kids. I pretended I didn't know who she was as she was out with her kids and was being a normal mum. We ended up chatting about normal parenting stuff, the weather (I am British after all ;-) ), and the rides. This went on for about 15 minutes, and she was totally cool, and not aloof in any way. Both sets of kids started nagging to go on more rides so we said goodbye, and she said 'Have fun, and we might catch you later.' I was very impressed by how laid back and unpretentious she was. I wish good luck to her going forward in the issues concerning her children. Smell ya later Uma. xx

Good acting and great screen presence to tell the story. The star just has to choose the right roles and make it memorable. So you weigh choices between a Meryl Streep or a Nicholas Cage, who of which knows to choose a role and a script.

My wife was an actress before I met her in multiple plays mostly stage in USA , but with two kids and a husband mostly too busy to be of much help, she had to retire from acting. When I got together with her we wanted to have a kid, so then there was three plus the two of us. I really missed her being an actress, but she was a great mom and wife, but the acting was her big stardom outlet that gave her spirit the big boost.
When she gave it up, it was very traumatic to her happiness as an artist. I wouldn't change anything, but I wish she could have stuck with acting part of time for herself. I think it killed her in the end. Each person has tough choices, something has to give. Balance is the key, but it is seldom allowed in our society, it has to be full time for most employers, especially in acting and entertainment. Kids need a mother, so I think it was all she could do to chose one over the other.

If you ask any divorce attorney, how long will the custody arrangement take to resolve, if they are answering truthfully, they will tell you it will get resolved only when the money runs out. Essentially, one party has to claim that the other party is an unfit parent. While I doubt you would find anyone that would believe that Uma is unfit, her ex can keep the court battle going indefinitely because there are zero consequences for lying in custody court.

It would be great to see Uma in a Star Wars feature or Disney+ series. She has that otherworldly face and disposition so she would fit a Sith, Jedi, or Chancellor type equally well. She'd crush it as Asajj Ventress.

@@happydogg312 Nah Liam Neesan was perfect as Qui-Gon, same with Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan.
