Wow...maybe it's just the thousands of hours I've played this game, but they all feel like real people to me...not just cardboard cutout figures in a game. I grieve for the ones we lose along the way...
This! Something which CDPR never gets credit for is how human their characters behave. Our interactions with Takemura show us that food is one of the few pleasures he enjoys in life and his palette is more refined than most. Every major character has a theme or unique characteristic. Food is Goro's. The fact that during a mission with Goro he says he needs to eat having not eaten in 24 hours reminds us that he's human after all and needs to eat like the rest of us. How many developers would've taken the time to write in having a meal with a major character during a side mission. Its little touches like this that make Cyberpunk's characters feel so alive and real. You can actually imagine them existing in our world. That is top tier writing and CDPR doesn't get enough credit.
Makes me emotional seeing these faces, almost like i know them irl, hats off to cdpr for putting so much soul and emotion into each of these characters, this is what makes me even more excited for cyberpunk 2, UE5s texture quality up close with meta human and cdprs ingenuity is going to create an unrivalled masterpiece I hope, please dont let us down cdpr.
This is so awesome to see. I have over 1,000 hours on Cyberpunk 2077, and I still get in awe of it, when I play it, and when I watch videos like this on youtube. Every character looks amazing! I don't recognize some of the faces, damn, you managed to get so many of them into a two minute video. When I saw Jack, I nearly started crying( I tear up every time he dies in Delemain on the way back from the heist)and it's only because Jack was V's best friend even though it was only for six months. Panam looked incredible. Any time I do a play through with Vincent, I always have him get involved with Panam. She is beautiful, sexy, and tough as nails. This is so wonderful. Cyberpunk 2077 has gotten me through some times in the last three years that I have owned my copy. Thank you for making this video choom.

Im not really into video editing or 3D modeling, but this makes me want to buy an RTX card, path tracing is insane, and can bring out those small details that rasterized graphics just cant.

If you look closely we are not there yet, but in 10 years you‘ll probably have a hard time discerning games from pre-rendered animation. This video is not really real-time game graphics though. Helped a lot with many tricks to get a picture this clear and high fidelity. My gameplay doesn‘t look that crisp!
Sequel is developed by completely different team of writers, artists and designers. All from USA which makes me terrified tbh. And on engine that is not made for vast open world games with no loading screens. With all that west gamedev bullshit that they can implement into game...

He‘s a legit grade A dude and very passionate about Cyberpunk. Just watch a couple of minutes of footage of him talking about the franchise and play Phantom Liberty and you know that the games future is in good hands. Also Sarah Grümmer who wrote most of the Judy quests is on board and many many more from the old team. Don‘t know why you think that it’s a completely different team but it’s not. It’s true that after the games disastrous launch many left the company but since Phantom Liberty (which was a legit banger of a game!!!) most have stayed and will be working in Boston. So I am very confident about it all. The engine on the other hand is a wild card in the mix, that’s true! But CDPRs developers are a competent bunch and even though Cyberpunk had a lot of problems it‘s actually amazing what they have achieved to build with only a couple of hundred devs compared to companys like Rockstar and Ubisoft who sometimes have thousands of devs on one game. So I‘m also confident that they‘ll figure out a way for UE5 to muscle a huge open world like Redengine did. Also the next Witcher (which will also be an open world), will come out way ahead of Orion so they‘ll have a couple of years to make it work (together with Epic who are working on the engine as well).

@@dandee18 UE5 doesnt suck as much CDPR's old engine did. You need to understand that 90% of technical problems CDPR faced was because of their engine. They essentially were developing engine alongside with the game. It was taking too much time and in the end there are still a lot of visual bugs left that were never trully fixed. Like objects not being fitted perfectly, flying in the air instead of sticking to character/environment models like they suppose to. And many more problems. Using a third party engine from a company that its whole existence focused on making them is a much better deal. And it is written and uses C++ for development, same language CDPR's old engine does. That means porting a lot of stuff written code is a lot easier. Game development entered era of advancement where developing and supporting in-house engine becomes much more difficult that before. It is more cost effective to use third party tools than write your own all the time.

@@Muumin-H No, that‘s a custom camera software. It‘s called „Camera tools for Cyberpunk 2077“ and is developed by Otis_Inf (you should find it pretty quickly when googling). It‘s a paid software, 6$ if I remember correctly, and injects into the game and allows you to unlock the camera in Photomode and normal gameplay and do all kinds of funny shenanigans. I also make extensive use of Reshade, which, in combination with the camera tools, give me the option to do stuff you cannot do with the vanilla game.

@@Muumin-H Yeah, I use a lot of texture-upscaling mods. Most of them in the 4K-variant. The rain-mod is included in GITS 3.X which, alongside a custom LUT, also modifies the weather and a couple of other things. I think this mod utilizes a custom variant of the „perfect rain - or is it“ (something like this) by Sosuine if I remember correctly.
maiby technically not the best out there but the visuals are beautifull story telling is kinda hit or miss but when the written stories hit they really hit certain characters and stories are so well writen certainly one of my favorite games hell had me a little down when i finished it the first time

@@Muumin-H Yeah, I use a lot of texture-upscaling mods. Most of them in the 4K-variant.
The rain-mod is included in GITS 3.X which, alongside a custom LUT, also modifies the weather and a couple of other things.
I think this mod utilizes a custom variant of the „perfect rain - or is it“ (something like this) by Sosuine if I remember correctly.

maiby technically not the best out there but the visuals are beautifull story telling is kinda hit or miss but when the written stories hit they really hit certain characters and stories are so well writen certainly one of my favorite games hell had me a little down when i finished it the first time

Never played that. But afaik that's a very different game, with far fewer emphasis on cinematic presentation and more dynamic open-world freedom.
