Btech in Artificial intelligence and data science in medical engineering has been started this year first time in india by Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetham, Faridabad campus ......what is the scope for this branch in future
Not much they are still focusing on the fundamentals on the major scale but still worth based on one's performance but only btech will not help additional courses along with m tech i believe would be much better for greater opportunities but it has a lot of potential
I am myself launching an AI bootcamp. Two modules of this bootcamp are already launched as individual courses on codebasics.io Those courses are Math/Statistics for AI and Data science and AI for everyone. I will launch few more courses and then bundle them up to create a BootCamp. When a person buys the BootCamp (when it is launched in a few months), they will get a price reduction of the fees they have paid for individual courses.
Is an AI engineer expected to develop the model from scratch and optimize it to the best of its capability? I believe they are more involved in deployment rather than development?
Yes so they are responsible for BUILDING the application (hence engineering). But coming up with algorithm behind that application may not be their primary task, which is the responsibility of a Data Scientist. I spoke to several AIEs and DSs to confirm this. In companies like Meta though, AIEs are expected to lead projects end to end. This role was formerly called ML Engineering.
@@yashovardhan9841 Honestly, That's new to me. In my knowledge and interaction with several AI engineers, They claimed the end-to-end designing, development to all the way upto deployment of AI/AI based apps independently. But I'm not rejecting your knowledge, It's possible.
It also depends on where they work. In startups, I guess they own the end to end stack. In larger organizations, the roles are limited. My opinion is based on conversations with people in larger organizations.
AI engineers have two responsibilities but don’t get paid double.😂

The pay doesn't add up to the skill level required. Software industry is no more a guaranteed way to succeed.

Why are they called as AI engineers/devs? Cuz they're responsible for developing the AI and it's based apps/softwares from the scratch.
