Hi Michelle! I am a 4th grade teacher in Kansas City (first year, yikes!!) and I would love a video about classroom management when “typical” methods don’t seem to work. I know that seems broad but I’m at a complete loss these days! Thank you so much for all of your videos-they are so so helpful
I thought of you Thursday and signed up for Plickers. I always want to keep my students engaged by using different activities. I will definitely use this Tuesday for review!
Love using Plickers with my students. Great way to activate prior learning. Could you make a video about Symbaloo? You have mentioned it on several of you vlogs and I would love to see how it works. Thank you for all that you do. ❤
I absolutely love your videos! I would also love to see more school vlogs. I want to be an elementary school teacher one day and I love watching your videos to understand the life of a teacher ♥️
I wonder if I can use this without displaying the questions to the students on a screen (like, I can print the questions for them or just read them aloud), therefore without a second device. We don't have computers or projectors at my school, so I have been thinking about using this with just my personal phone... Let's see if it's possible and if so, how it goes.
Thank you for always providing such helpful tips. I will use this in my classroom. I am also very much enjoying your new podcasts and the freebies. Thanks for all that do. I hope your year is going well!
Thank you so much for your kind words Amanda! I really hope your students enjoy it! I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying our Teaching to the TOP podcast and the freebies!
Love the tech tips. I love Plickers!! It gives you real time data and can guide future instruction. I wish I had this instead of an expensive audience response setup.
Love this series Michelle!! I learned about these the tech things you’ve mentioned throughout undergrad but I like the more in depth explanation of it! I’m currently student teaching so this is useful!Thank you!!
I love Plickers! Sadly I had misplaced my cards earlier this year... but, how crazy is this- while listening to your video, I was cleaning out my closet and FOUND MY PLICKERS CARDS!!🥳 they must have heard you talking about them!😂
I just learned about this and I love the idea!! Have you tried to use this while distant learning? I suppose I could always use a Zoom poll, but I think the students would think it's fun to have a physical card.
I’m a college student, and i just used these for the first time the other day in my math class! We didn’t get anything cool like this when I was a kid!
Hey, I quite like your videos. Our school has started using plickers. When you scan the cards should the letter be facing you or the students? For instance, if D is what the student chose.
I started using this during student teaching and my kids loved it. Sadly though the internet at my new school goes in and out so much that I really can't use it. Oh well, maybe once we get our new system, it will be better. Can you do some STEM/STEAM videos? I'm trying to incorporate it more into my classroom and I need some ideas. :)
Thank you for this video! I have have the Plickers app on my phone forever but I was confused how to use it effectively. How often do you use this in your class? Secondsuperstars
It seems like a great idea in theory, but I struggle to believe it will work as well in practice. Mostly due to technology incompetent teachers, but also failure to scan correctly and frustration with a brand new and non-user friendly answer method. If submitting the data electronically is not an option, whiteboards or other means would probably be just as fast if you include the time it takes for possible problems with Plickers. However, this is just speculation, maybe this will be another tool to help students learn more effectively, in which case, great!
its a good idea in theory the biggest con for this is I can only use this for multiple choice and my district is big on explanations of HOW students got their answers especially for math. You know how students like to look at each other's answers and before you know it everyone has the same answer.
I totally understand. But you could easily have students discuss their answers after giving them. Also, with the Plickers cards, the letters that show their answer are super small so they aren't able to look around and see what other students are picking.
Hi Michelle, do you know if Plickers can work well for a remote learning, for younger children to simply hold up a card to participate in quizzes, rather than having to go to Kahoot or Quizizz etc?
I love this! I am starting at a new school this year and have the luxury of VERY small classes (10-15 students!!) so I am looking forward to integrating much more edtech! Michelle - question, is your POBox still working? I sent you a wee Xmas something but it's wound up back at my place today with a 'return to sender' sticker.
I’ve watched a half dozen videos covering Plickers, yet none of them have described how long it takes to scan the cards in a classroom of, say, 25 students.
A teacher I observed years ago used this and I have been trying to remember the name for the longest! Thank you so much!!
Never heard of this before, but seems great if students don’t have 1 to 1 devices. Cheers from Australia. 🐨
Yes, it is a great option if you don't have 1 to 1 devices (which I don't). Australian is in my thoughts!

Yay! I really hope your students love it!
Could you please mention other assessment techniques that you have ised in your classes pls😊
I’ve been gluing the cards onto the back of their exercise books, has been working well for us
Matte modpoge over regular laminate works as well. I did that for my vipkid props for years.
as a student who has had teachers use plickers they actually are rly good and helpful and much funner that most quizzes x
You have the best ed tech videos! Keep 'em coming!

So cool! I use Kahoot with my students in this way, but this would be a fun addition. You're the best at explaining things!
I wonder if I can use this without displaying the questions to the students on a screen (like, I can print the questions for them or just read them aloud), therefore without a second device. You are an awesome teacher you tuber Michelle! You inspired me to create a channel. Keep up the good work 😀!

Very helpful
Implementing in our school i.e located in Kolkata,India
Thanks dear Michelle😊
Awesome! I started using Flippity like you mentioned before and it’s amazing!
It sounds great! Thanks for sharing, I'll try this in one of my classes for sure!!! Greetings from Colombia.
I love Plickers! Sadly I had misplaced my cards earlier this year... but, how crazy is this- while listening to your video, I was cleaning out my closet and FOUND MY PLICKERS CARDS!!🥳 they must have heard you talking about them!😂
I think this tool is very cool, specially because I'm tired of computers 🙏😊. Thank you, from Portugal.
I just learned about this and I love the idea!! Have you tried to use this while distant learning? I suppose I could always use a Zoom poll, but I think the students would think it's fun to have a physical card.
This seems really cool!! I’ll have to try it out 😁 I’m really loving yours and bridget’s podcast! 💗
I’m a college student, and i just used these for the first time the other day in my math class! We didn’t get anything cool like this when I was a kid!
Excellent. Crystal clear.
How far from camera can students be when I scan on my phone? I have some kids in back row about ten feet away from board? Will that still work?
Yes! The camera picks up the cards really easily. I stand in the front of my room and it will read every card... including the cards in the back.
This is so interesting! My first time hearing of it but now I'm interested to add this into the classroom :)
my high school teacher used to use plickers and I loved it!!!
I love plickers! I don't want to waste time creating assessments, can I create a question on the fly and select the answer, then scan cards?

Love this! Thank you! Perfect for standardized test prep
Just commenting to say that I laminate my Plickers cards with shiny lamination and I've never had an issue with scanning.
Good Morning, Michelle! I’ve alway seen and heard of plickers on your vlogs, I will have to try them! 😍 ❤️Aaron
Thank you so much Aaron! I hope you enjoy it!
In adapting for COVID...Wondering if it would work remotely through a zoom or teams meeting, will the phone record answers off a computer screen?
Thank you for the great and informative video! (Loving the podcast by the way)
This is such a cool concept! I wish I could make it work for preschool students, but it seems a little advanced. Still a cool resource!
I’ve been teaching for many years and I still get nervous when it’s time for formal observations. Any tips?
Also, love your dating vlogs.
Yay Michelle! I love this video! So useful for non teachers too
I LOVE plickers for my 7th and 8th graders. What do you think about flipgrid? Still trying to utilize it to the best ability for lessons
Love your explaination..!
I’d like to know if Plickers can be used with distance learning... it would be awesome!!
Thank you for this video! I have have the Plickers app on my phone forever but I was confused how to use it effectively. How often do you use this in your class? Secondsuperstars
Seems like an awesome alternative to Kahoot for kids who get a little too distracted on their 1-to-1 devices. 😂 Can’t wait for try this!

Hi Michelle, do you know if Plickers can work well for a remote learning, for younger children to simply hold up a card to participate in quizzes, rather than having to go to Kahoot or Quizizz etc?
I will be giving this a try this week 😊
can it be used when you are far away from your students?
You can ask fed ex office to print on waterproof impossible to tear flexible paper
