The United States Bill of Rights.
The Ten Original Amendments to the Constitution of the United States
Passed by Congress September 25, 1789
Ratified December 15, 1791
I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
II
A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
III
No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house,
without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war,
but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers,
and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated,
and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath
or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched,
and the persons or things to be seized.
V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime,
unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising
in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service
in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for
the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb;
nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself,
nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;
nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.
VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a
speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district
wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have
been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature
and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him;
to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor,
and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
VII
In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed
twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved,
and no fact tried by a jury shall be otherwise re-examined in any court
of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required nor excessive fines imposed,
nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
IX
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights,
shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,
nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively,
or to the people.

During my late teens I was in trouble with the law alot. I noticed something very peculiar, if you wanted to get out of jail quicker the Judge practically strong arms you to surrender alot of your rights for a plea deal. I had to waive my right for a speedy trial as well as surrender my right to bear arms. Las Vegas, NV

the US Courts always put a bail on someone who makes less then $20.000 a year i have seen bails over $50.000 to $5.000.000.000

Billie Lester, I had to "surrender" my right to bear arms in exchange to take a plea deal & get out of jail on a domestic violence charge which was just a yelling match between my uncle & myself. They went into my house & took my firearm. So I'm guessing they are more inclined to take away your second amendment if you have a felony. I had my rights stripped for a mistomenor offense.

Sorry have to correct all that think the Constitution "of the United States" pertains to them, unless you are an employee of the United States you only have civil rights which are not rights, only privileges and master grant privileges. But do not dispair for your Rights are substantial and reflected in your states Orginal border Constitution which within the Constitutional borders establish in 1803 they have it in its Bill of Rights and the 1803 Constitution. So lets see what had to happen; we have to go to Volume 1 of the United States Code for the foundation is laid out there in which is inclusive of TItles 1-4 and Title 5 sections 101-5449, paying close attention to Titles 1-4 the Organic Law, the foundation of the perpetual Union known in Title 2 of Titles 1-4 as the Articles of Confederation and paying no attention to anyone whom says they are no longer in force for they are but!, not in the Constitution "of the United States" and of course one will say what!, yes the Constitution "of the United States is limited to it and what it created for it only took on Territory that was ceded to the United States of America to pay off the debt of the Revolution once the land was sold and establishing a bordered state like Ohio in 1803 it was ousted of its jurisdiction by having x amount of free inhabitants to estblish a Constitution bordered and Ratification of the Articles of Confederation in Title 2 of Titles 1-4, but there was some little peace of land left called Wayne National Forrest to legislate thereing, not counting some employees and the new legislative general assembly itself and had to limit legislation to what is called the Dillon Rule that is one subject within legislative acts, their employee and franchises that came by and through the Constitution "of the United States" so they moved to the 1851 OHIO Constitution which is not to be confused with the 1803 for the moved by resolution and resolutions are not law but the 1803 Constitution is Law and every state did the same thing. So read Volume 1 and Titles 1-4 within along with ones state bordered Constitution.

They are not amendment they are called the articles of the BILL OF RIGHTS .
The fourth and fifth article of the Bill Of Rights have been incorporated together and those two have been incorporated into the 14 th amendment , now remember there is no such a thing as the 5th amend. so what the criminals do they process you under the 14th amendment there is no right for you there , and for your info the 11 and 12th proposal was rejected at the 1789 convention in new york because 11th was in conflict with article three section two of the article of confedaration .
Now read first the 11th amendment and compare that with article three section two of the article of confedaration . I can help with the U S Constitution only but from 11th and up to the 27th don't bother me . I am like a banker they practice legal procedures and I don't cash their fraudulent checks !!!

9:25 AM 12/6/2015 Im not watching this just looking for a decent video talking about amendments. Do you people in society in USA know what your *"Freedoms"* are or *"Rights"*??? Its the 27 amendments and Congress is still adding onto the list. Congress makes the laws. Congress is part of the Legislative branch of the US Constitution that breaks into two houses *SENATE* and *HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES*. One House makes the laws and the other approves the laws I forgot which one does which. SENATE MAKES THE LAWS AND HOUSE OF REP. APPROVES LAWs (might be other way around). This isn't rocket science its pretty easy to figure out. In the first amendment the part where it says CONGRESS SHALL NOT PASS A LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION is part of the *ESTABLISHMENT CLAUSE*. Its making it clear that you don't have to be christian to live in the USA. The 1st AMENDMENT is your FREEDOM and people in society who are christians are taking your freedoms (1st Amendment) away saying you have to goto church and be Christian when you don't. Its legal to be a Jew, Muslim/Islam, Mormon, Shinto, Buddhist, Hindu and so on living in the USA. Its legal to be part of the Church of Scientology and be a scientologists. Its legal to be part of the Church of Satan and be a Satanist. The US Constitution recognizes both Church of Scientology and Church of Satan as religious organizations. If you have issues with this as a Christian take it to Congress not me. US CONSTITUTION (CONGRESS) MAKES THE LAWS NOT YOU PEOPLE IN SOCIETY. US Constitution is keeping balance and order.
