Dr. Sanchez may I just say how inspiring you are to not only watch but to learn from. As someone wanting to endeavor the medical field in the near future... you have gave me hope for my future. You have shown me how true it is to be a surgeon both mentally and physically. God bless you! I wish you the best of the luck and thank you for everything! xx
Dr. Sanchez what you said @ 7:17 really spoke to me. I'm 30 years old and ashamedly lived most of my life wicked and selfishly but a few years ago I gave my life to Christ. Recently I been really feeling a interest in serving others particularly in healthcare as a surgeon. Although, admittedly I have a lot of doubt that my dream would come true (feeling like I'm too old to start and financial problems) but I am planning on going into emt and starting my journey from there hopefully with some financial aide for emt school and onward. All that to say you are really an inspiration and a blessing to everyone in your life including your patients. Continue spreading the light of Christ in your work sister! May the Most High bless you and your family.
@@thedaisysanchezthis is so cool. They must be so proud. Question, have your job ever bothered you for doing videos as a surgeon?? I know you don’t put more than what you can, but they may be picky at times. Love everything you do!
I'm a new comer to your channel but let me tell you.. girl where have you been all my life. You're so inspiring, beautiful, compassionate and give me the motivation on my own journey in education and medicine. Thank you for sharing your life, and being so real❣️ you deserve all the wonderful things coming your way.
I am someone who suffers with quite a few chronic illnesses and I can confirm that doctors do not take the time to explain anything to me. This year I was in the hospital for my liver and three different doctors were treating me as if I had no idea what I was talking about (I worked in emergency medicine for two years and went to nursing school) and it wasn't until I screamed and cried and fired the entire team and told them to get me a new doctor that I finally got a doctor who sat down and explained everything and the plan. I am no longer within his scope, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune liver disease that he doesn't specialize in, but he continues to see me and discuss what is going on because he knows I trust him. I am also going to see his wife for rheumatology because they are now the only healthcare professionals I trust. Aside from the ER doctors I worked with.
my radiation 7:48 oncologist cried with me and my parents a couple times as I was going thu it I have so much appreciation and respect for her and everyone that has helped me that made me fall inlove with hospitals and medicine that I change my job completely and now I work under my md taking care of cancer patients and I loveeee it and now I cry sometimes some cases omge 😢😢😢 but I love ittttso muuuuuch

I have really enjoyed watching your journey. I started not to long ago warching your vids when they popped up on my youtube feed and it motovates me. I have 3 kiddos ranging from 6 to 17 and spent the last 3 years doing prerequisites for nursing. Now i am working throigh nursing school and hope to become a cardiovascular ICU nurse. Thank you for motivating all of us!!!

Good day 2 U! Sending a huge congrats 2 U on completing your training Dr. Sanchez! The "Chieftern" title is hilarious Thanx once again 4 a great video! U just took pumping gas to a whole new new level with that dope dress! U are the quintessential super mom & Doctor I appreciate your transparency and I pray 4 success and nothing less 4 u. I'm really enjoying your content and look 4ward 2 more! Cheers!!
Daisy I watched this while having a hard day and let me tell you, it really made me emotional. Seeing how much you have the willpower to do and accomplish is so inspiring. I also come from a Hispanic family and seeing your daughter speak Spanish at the end was so sweet. Congrats on becoming a general surgeon❤️
Congrats! This was emotional to watch; I will be graduating my physical therapy program in May. It's always so nice to see a medical professional who really cares and connects to pts. Good reminder that it is possible to connect and relate while still holding boundaries for personal well being. Best of luck for whatever is next!
Please never ever stop filming I love your videos and look up to you so much thank you for being real. Also do you have any tips to getting enough sleep while managing studying, classes in general and working out 😭 or are there days you get like minimal sleep to do it all?
I’ve followed you for a long time now and I’m so proud of you. Staying so humble and sticking up for yourself while staying professional. I’d love to see you as a patient for a non emergency of course lol. Congratulations mama!
Congratulations 🎈!! On to the next part of your fun journey. Glad I found your videos, a couple months ago, and happy to be a fly on the wall of your journey. And too, as a cancer patient myself, I thank you and all doctors for your service to us patients. My Stanford Cancer doctors have held me together with love and care... and maybe some duct tape too?? Congratulations again!!
Dude I’ve only ever worked in clinics but talking to my co workers who have worked in hospitals mad respect yall are 😵plus I’m not a doctor I’m just an x ray tech so i couldn’t imagine yall are in a whole different world! YOUR AMAZING!!!
Oh my gosh your skin is so beautiful! I’d never wear make up if I had your skin. Also congratulations 🎊🎈I loved that you said you want to be empathetic towards your patients. It is rare. I’ve been seen by a lot of doctors and it does matter. Although I have had nice doctors, and it makes my time in the hospital less scary. Thank you for what you do!
I truly love and appreciate your femininity in every video. As women, we have a tremendous capacity for love and care. We desperately need this in our healthcare, thank you for showing that it's possible! I am an acupuncture doctoral student and I plan on medical school in the future... my consistent "constructive criticism" received from my superiors is that I'm "too nice," but honestly I think that's my strength. It feels good to know I'm not the only one! Keep up the good work and I'm sending you plenty of love and light for your success in the next chapter in your journey!
Doctora Sanchez, I am SO proud of you. Te admiro muchísimo ❤ Que Dios trabaje en medio de tus manos, y te siga guiando y dando sabiduría. Eres una inspiración.

Love that for you and her! Congratulations on graduating residency, I actually always thought I wonder if I ever see Daisy around (I work across from the main OR in Labor and Delivery, I'm an RN) never did...
Congratulations Daisy. I know you probably have already said where you are moving to for your fellowship but I probably missed it? Your daughter is precious. She must be so proud of mom. Good luck with the fellowship. I have to agree with you unfortunately, from my own experience it seems like medical professionals don't have much compassion or empathy for their patients but on the other hand I know they are overworked and it would be emotionally draining to relate to what their patients are going through. Also seems like Doctors are good at fixing what is broken but have a difficult time diagnosing conditions based on patient complaints? Which must be difficult because a symton could be indicative of so many conditions?

It's a very beautiful video. Beautiful hospital, state of the art facilities. However, my general surgeon has it much more complicated. I often have difficulty waking up in the morning with nausea. I come to the hospital, morning conferences, general ward and ICU rounds. Endless surgeries with outdated instruments and equipment. But the worst part is the documentation. The documentation is electronic and written. You can operate for 2 hours, and after surgery, it takes about 4-5 hours to do the documentation. Given the large number of patients, operations, moral principles of the surgeon go home at 10 - 11 pm, although I have a working day until 4 pm. At the same time, I try to study trends in practical and theoretical surgery. Naturally, I sleep 4-5 hours a day. Chronic sleep deprivation. My hospital is on call for emergency surgery 5 days a week. Every day, there are complicated patients, hard to diagnose with ultrasound equipment. My hospital doesn't have CT or MRI. But I love surgery very much, I am ready to give myself completely. During two years of work in the Department of Surgery of my hospital, I became the head of the surgical department. I'm 28 years old. Watching your video, I envy you. Good luck to you in our difficult profession - surgery!
"Can't be lying to myself. If I can't trust myself, who can I trust." My brain fully developed after hearing that.
