this was real music for space traveling, once composed by professor cullmann and dr. von hacht (both from hamburg, germany) for the nasa venus program.
That was a publicity stunt. Dr von Hacht is Mario van Hacht, a german hip hop producer, and Mr Cullmann is DJ Koze. The sounds in the songs are sampled from Lonnie Liston Smith's "Love Goddess", see ruclips.net/video/4QeYiSL0_30/видео.html I don't want to downplay this, the album "Music for space tourism" is one of my favorite ones. But once you find the pieces they sampled, it put things a bit more into perspective.
For anyone interested: you can see the two producers in this vid (ruclips.net/video/Nsi-fRN7Se0/видео.html). Mario van Hacht is the tall and skinny one.
9 years since I last commented but I've listened many times since. Over 20 years since I first heard it, and it's still pure magic!
