@@LiveOnPurposeTV Thank you for putting up these videos. Im a veteran who had such a beautiful best friend who was a Briard/White German Shepherd dog called Curt. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for 15 years. My old army mate who I have known since childhood died 2 weeks before I lost my dog Curt as well so I was in the middle of handling his death when suddenly Curt got sick. I need medication to be able to eat and sleep. As for now, it feels like the pain will never go away!
What broke me the most is that I didn't get to be there with my furbaby when my husband and I decided to end his suffering...Kitty was on antibiotics for some sort of aspiration in the lungs but still eating and playing as normal..breathing got gradually worse I woke up my husband at 3 am to take him to the emergency vet hospital after he had a bad episode of breathlessness..When got to hospital he was admitted and diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax 😭 they draw air out of his chest for 3 days hoping the luns would recover but that didn't happen..he spent his last days alone in a oxygen chamber and on the last night my husband went there because no one would clarify us on what was happening with our boy,he got to see him and he was so poorly he videocalled me to ask me what to do..we both decided it wasn't fair on kitty to suffer any longer😭😭😭this happened more than a month ago and i still cry at least once a day.Because I am a new mom everyone keeps on saying I got the baby to occupy my time with..but the baby has nothing to do with the guilt and grief I feel all the time... I got to say my goodbyes before his cremation and brought him home with me🖤I don't know what I can do to stop feeling this way, the pain is so real and terrible..

I lost my dear dog thru an accident as it was playing,the best friend and companion I have ever had. This loss has affected me in a way that has made me feel so sad , I told its dead carcass that we will meet again and I thanked her for the good times we shared on Earth as I buried her. That gave me lots of satisfaction. I know God will grant me that wish to meet her again when I too vacate this planet
The pain is infinite. My precious Kera left us yesterday after 18 years. She was the most loving, educated, well mannered cat. Even doctors acknowledge how peaceful she was. I hope to see her in the next life. 😢

One day my 12 year old lab is jumping around wild and happy, and two days later he’s gone. Enjoy you’re pets while they’re in your life, and don’t worry about how long their life will be, but instead focus on making memories with them. You will be able to love them forever, but you will not always have them with you.
Same here she was so happy day before yesterday , she was dull from yesterday morning didn't have any food I was too busy to concentrate , She was not at home from yesterday night I went searching but didn't find, and I found her dead when I went in search for her today morning, my heart broken couldn't hold my tears, I was so ignorant for just 1 day and she is gone 😭
My 7 month cat died because a dog attacked him and broke his spine, so we decided to put him to sleep, he brought me so much light and happiness through out these couple months, I feel so broken and sad I don’t know how to keep on with life.

Thanks for this, Sir. I just lost my dog of 14 & a half years a few days ago. She was in such great shape and then one day she wasn't. It took about a week to figure out her time was about up and any therapies or surgeries were only going to put off the inevitable a few months. It was a tough call to make, but I had a mobile vet come to the home and put her to sleep while I held her and her daughter watched on. I drove her to the crematorium myself and took her in and watched them wheel her back to the furnace room. What a cry I had in the car back home! My wife died from CoVid seven months earlier and she's the one who insisted we get this dog! I like to think my wife was waiting to greet her into the afterlife. I hope anyway. Got a plaque and her ashes prominently displayed by the door. Having a "Cuddle Clone" designed from photos of her that permanently house her ashes. She, her daughter and I will all be buried together one day. To anyone else going thru this, it's okay to cry over a lost pet. It means your a decent human being.
Hi Steve, your comment got me in tears. I lost one of my cats today. She was such a shy, sensitive, and sweet being. I miss her so much. I can't imagine the amount of pain you had to go through when your wife passed away, and then your dog. I'm so sorry, man. I truly hope you do go through another moment like that for the rest of your life. I hope more good things than bad things happen to you.

My cat passed about a month ago.For everyone who is going through this just know your stronger than you think and you get can get through it.Theres almost like an outer covering in the beginning,just tons of grief on your shoulders,then it slowly just,lifts off.
My parents took my dog away from me..he was lying next to me when I sleep ..he was greeting me with his mouth saliva when I woke up or when I come back from outside..when I'm angry or sad of something I feel like he is comforting me .. making me laugh without reasons....he was the only reason I smile and laugh in the house,and here I am ..alone again..I wrote my words with tears and I'm sure I won't be able to get over it..

I was with him until his final breath. I hadn’t cried that much since I was a child. Dogs certainly have a lot to teach us humans about unconditional love. Thank you for the advice. My cat passed this morning and I loved him very much. He gave nothing less than unconditional love. He was only two years old and his illness happened so suddenly and took him so quickly. I know that he’s found a place in heaven now. Ollie will forever live in my heart. Even if his presence in my life was brief, he helped me through so much in such critical years of my life.

This happened to me this morning, I was at work when I had a call that my cat Links had just been killed outside our own house by a car, needless to say I’ve been In tears since this morning. He was 1.5 years old and has truly left an imprint on my heart, he gave nothing but true love and never expected anything back . My cat (first cat ever) just died last night. Only about 6 months old🥺🥺😭 She came in our house bleeding and suffering and we had no idea why. I feel so bad for her even though we did what we could do to help her. She also made me feel happy and helped me and my mother out of depression... But right now I feel like my depression is coming right back😣😣😣😣😣 It’s so painful and I don’t know what to do with myself right now.

I had to put my dog Spanky to sleep this week due to complications of congestive heart failure. I'm really feeling low. My other dog is beside himself, he looks in the backyard all day trying to see his brother. You always second guess yourself-could I have given him a few more days? Couldn't we have strung him along with another procedure? The reality is, when dogs have terminal conditions like this their quality of life can go downhill very quickly. You owe them the responsibility of looking out for their best interests-and sometimes that means making the ultimate call. I miss Spanky, very much. I hope you've found peace in the last 8 months, honeybunny.

I just lost our dog Dunkin and was crying while watching this but I laughed when he said think of the annoying things you had together with your pet. I remembered how he hates taking a bath. My rabbit of almost a year old died today, I watched the color drain from his eyes and his little heart stop beating while I held him in my arms. I don’t have a rabbit but a guinea pig that died at 3:29 this morning. He was four turning five in July. He was such a good guinea pig but he had to die a painful death because no vet near us could cater to “exotic” animals. I have his brother by me and I honestly don’t know what to do. Like I want to buy another Guinea pig and keep the brother happy but I don’t want to deal with the deaths of pets again - it’s a horrible feeling.

I lost my dog in summer of 2019, I soon lost my other dog in September 2020. I miss both of them and afraid of losing my other dogs. I cry almost everyday, sometimes I think if they even remember me. I suffered more when a person said “it’s just a dog.” I was torn because I knew they never knew what happiness pets bring. Pets bring the happiest days of our lives and the saddest days. Whoever is reading this and lost a pet, remember it’s okay to be sad for however long it’s been. I feel for you, I know your pain.

Thank you for your video. I lost m 14 year old Italian Greyhound i raised from pup. It's just her and I and i'm 58. I lost my parents also within the scope of of past 8 years .... all 3 to cancer. This to me is by far the most horrible loss I have ever encountered being she was as your video states pure LOVE. It's been almost 2 weeks i had to make that decision to let her go and the visuals of that day haunt me. She was still happy but suffering. I seriously don't think i'll ever get over her she was my best friend. I've had many animals growing up but at this age and from a baby she was mine and i was hers. She taught me LOVE like no other human. I have to say i never gave thought to losing her ... which was living in the now i suppose but wow - i'm grateful for the time i had spending as her caretaker during cancer and loving her up and her loving me back as always. I cry constantly. I've lost work. I see therapist. It's awful roller coaster. That hug you speak of i so need but my friends seem to have nothing to say, they don't understand she WAS my family and always will be. I journal and I still talk to her. I bought some plants in her memory and also crystals to keep her safe. Yes i had her cremated she is here with me now. For anyone who feels as deeply as I do please reach out for support don't go it alone. xx

I’m here for exactly the same reason. We fostered an Italian greyhound, she sunk into inconsolable pain, we exhausted our funds just to find her illness was incurable bladder cancer. This was my first dog, I had her for four months, I wanted my dog my whole life. I’m 30 now, I waited until I was ready. This was so unfair.

I lost my dog this morning and it broke my heart. He died in his sleep thankfully, but I wish I got an opportunity to say a goodbye. I can't stop crying, I spent almost my entire life with him. He had a special spot on my bed and it smells like him. There's no way I can wash these sheets.

6 days without my dog after being with him everyday from ages 12-30 😭. I am Beyond broken. He was perfectly fine aside from his age. This is harder than family. I knew he would pass, but I thought he would show signs. Not just one day and done. I knew my dogs parents years before he was born. I was there for his birth. He came home at 4 weeks. This hits completely different. I want my dog back 😢

My 1 year old dachshund, Lilly got hit by a car. She was just being her normal, curious, adventurous self, and she just didn’t notice the car until it hit her. I miss her so much.
How do you deal with it ?! Our dachshund got it by a car because she was being a little too adventurous. She somehow got to our neighbours place and the gate was open and aaaagh! Stupid dog. She was 11 months old.
My French bulldog just got hit by a car tonight - I’m devistated. She was only 15 months old and was attached to me at the hip. I looked forward and hoped to have her with me fit at least 10 more years. This is such a shock

So many people undermine and don't get the grief of losing a Beloved Dog that is your best friend for many years. I have been literally ill with grief, he was a part of my life, every minute of every day of his little life, an especially as he struggled with the illness that took him and we struggled to help him through it.

My pet of 6 years died today. Facing towards the corner of the cage, laying down. When I saw it, all the good memories I’ve had with him flashed before me as I saw he wasn’t breathing. My cat of 14 years passed a few months ago back in February and I’m still accepting the loss. I was thankfully able to come visit from college when he passed, but I had to go back only a few days after we lost him. Now that I’m a college grad I am living at home full time again and am feeling the loss way more. We have his ashes which we keep in the box he used to sleep in. I remember him everyday and the unconditional love he showed me. It isn’t easy to not having him here, but I remember just how much he gave me and I fell grateful
Just lost my black lab today. He had to be put down at the vet and I just can’t get past the moment where he stopped breathing. It all happened so suddenly. He gave me and my family 10 years of amazing joy and I’m so so so happy to have been his owner. RIP my baby boy❤️🐾.
My labradoodle was just put down today due to leukemia. I just couldn’t stay for her euthanizing, it was so painful to see her the way she was. She wouldn’t eat and she was losing hair and couldn’t walk. She could hardly open her eyes when I talked to her and her tail no longer wagged when she saw me. Normally when I scratch her belly, she’d kick her hind legs rapidly and it was always funny. She didn’t do that this time. I couldn’t help myself but to cry in that moment seeing her for the last time. I knew it was time to let her rest and that’s exactly what I did. I miss her already and it hasn’t even been 30 minutes. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope I can get over this easily.

My 7 year old Boxer dog passed away today. He was just fine the other day and then he dropped dead this morning. He was my childhood dog and I just can’t believe he’s gone. I feel so lost without him here.
My dog passed away about 5 hours ago, they started having seizures back in December but they were very infrequent and minor. Today, he fell down, and never got back up. It was like on off switch, I've never seen a living being die so fast for seemingly no reason. It's hard to deal with, I've had him since my earliest memories. Thanks for the tips. Lost my cat who was my bff on tuesday the 30tg of july 2019, he is in a better place right now and i can’t wait till i see him, his absolute heart of gold has saved my life and i will get a sucessor for him today. I don’t know how long it will be untill we meet at the rainbow bridge but when we do i will be the happiest man in heaven and he will be the happiest cat. July 3rd, my dog of 14 years went suddenly yet peacefully. I’m 31 now and she was with me since high school. Needless to say, I’m going to miss having her here to greet me any time I come home. I’ll miss the walks. I’ll miss her begging for my food any time I eat. But when I decide to get a new dog, whenever that may be, it will be a rescue from a shelter. So in some way, my old dog’s passing will be helping another dog to live and I think that’s one of the best ways to honor her.
My pet rabbit of 7 years also passed away on the 3rd. He went in for a routine bladder stone removal but ended up having an infection and didnt pull through post op. Stay strong. Death is not the end but only the begining. Hopefully time heals
I personally couldn’t be part of the drive to the vet today because someone had to be home for my nephews and I’m the most emotional so me driving wouldn’t be safe. Every part of me wishes I could be there for Bobby cat. So my sister and mom are gone right now and I’m here watching this and bawling my eyes out. We had him since we had to hand feed the litter just over 12 years ago. He doesn’t know starvation or abuse. All he knew was warm beds, love, full belly, and so so so many purrs. I’ll miss him so hard.
I just wanted to say thank you... Lost my dog after she just turned 14. I knew they day was coming but there is no escaping the feeling of loss. To greive her feels not only necessary but also a way to give her respect. She was a very deer friend, so clever and in tune with her family. thank you for this video, I had to have my best friend Roger put to sleep today. (he was diagnosed with a cancerous lump on his tail about 3 years ago, they cut off half of his tail which slowed the cancer down and he was on various meds, the last few months he's just not been himself and it turns out that the cancer had moved to his bowels. yesterday he took a severe turn for the worst and I had no option, I had to face the thing that's been in the back of my mind for 3 years) last night i slept on the floor cuddling him just so he knew that even at the end I loved him as much as when he would sleep in my bed as a puppy. I think he knew he was dying and I can only hope that this brought him some comfort. he was 15 years old and I got him when he was 9 weeks old. he's only been gone for about 9 hours and I already miss him so much., I feel completely in limbo because I'll have to wait about a week to get his ashes back. (I'm going to have a little plaque made and bury the ashes next to his favourite shady spot in the garden) in the past year I have lost my Father, my brother and now my dog, I'm 45 years old and today I've cried more than i ever have in my life. losing my Roger has brought everything flooding back in one big final blow (it feels that way right now at least) I feel guilt because I know I should have taken him earlier (we've known about the bowel cancer for 6 months) but I simply couldn't face losing another member of my family so soon I know it was probably a bit selfish to try and hang on for so long. (since the death of my father i have moved back to the family home and become my mothers sole carer , she is a stroke victim and as you can imagine she's very upset too but Roger was my dog and I was his human, we lived together just me and him for most of his life and we did everything together during that time, at that time i was big into wildlife photography so me and Rog would go out for hours on end just enjoying each others company, him chasing squirrels up trees me desperately trying to get shots of them :) talking to my mother isn't helping me because she just bursts into tears which sets me off. throughout this past year Roger was the only one who would always bring a little smile to my face no matter how down i got or how stressed i was with the caring role for mum and I don't know how I'm going to cope without him. I have had 4 dogs throughout my life and although I remember them all fondly Roger was the once in a lifetime dog. I stayed with him as they euthanized him and he was very peaceful (they gave him a sedative before the injection) I know I did the right thing for my boy but it is so hard to sit here without him under my desk thank you for giving me some things to think about and a place to just write down my thoughts

My 16 year old cat was put down 5 hours ago, he just had his eye out 2 weeks ago and he was back to being like a kitten now that he was free from the pain. I was so happy he was like himself again, 5 days ago he was diagnosed with kidney failure and now he’s gone. It was so sudden and I just need some help man.
Sorry about your beautiful cat. The vet claimed my cat was dying so she was put to sleep. I keep questioning if the vet was right or not. It's one of those free mobile vet clinics, for low income or no income. She had edema, and she couldn't eat just drink water. I just don't know. 🕊️
i love how you choose your words carefully, saying things that are true but hard to deal with or accept. when I was younger i never thought my cat would die, but i started to realize that over those 20 years.
I' m a bit offended when he said "low cost"....its not low cost, it cost my heart when my cat died. I was shook and i've never felt such raw pain and guilt. Low cost.....yeah right.
He didn't mean it like that, he meant that it is an easier introduction to death than losing a human member of your family. I love my pets dearly, but this is true.

This helps me alot, even though my puppy passed away a month ago, I still have a broken heart, he was my best friend even though he was only 4 months old. For anyone who also lost their pet, just remember that their not meant to last your whole life, YOUR meant to be there for them their entire life.

My chihuahua Toby was with me for 7 years. He was the best friend I've ever had. I had to put him down so I spent 10 good minutes with him and was with him the entire time of his passing. The pain is worse than heartbreak. There is no better experience in life than unconditional love. To have a little buddy who just wants to spend every moment with you. I think one important aspect is that when pets get elderly, we can't keep bringing them to the vet for life-prolonging treatments, because we're then just trying to postpone our own inevitable sadness. Know when it's time to say goodbye.

My pet dog died last Saturday and until now I'm still in "denial" stage. I always cry at night and Christmas this year will never be the same. Yesterday I had to let my 12yr old dog bo go. I was numb and my jaw locked I felt as though it was a dream. Unfortunately it didn't go well as she had bad anxiety. I had to stay stop. Please give a sedative. I whispered in her ear I love you so much. Then a senior vet rushed in and took over. As soon as she done it I saw my bo in spirit she looked back and left with a man in white. And I also had a image in my head of a forest with a winding brook all my dogs were running free. I did cry out it's so heartbreaking. And also I know she is pain free and happy. I just miss her like crazy. The spirit realm is super hd earth where you can create. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for 15 years. My old army mate who I have known since childhood died 2 weeks before I lost my dog Curt as well so I was in the middle of handling his death when suddenly Curt got sick. I need medication to be able to eat and sleep. As for now, it feels like the pain will never go away!

What broke me the most is that I didn't get to be there with my furbaby when my husband and I decided to end his suffering...Kitty was on antibiotics for some sort of aspiration in the lungs but still eating and playing as normal..breathing got gradually worse I woke up my husband at 3 am to take him to the emergency vet hospital after he had a bad episode of breathlessness..When got to hospital he was admitted and diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax 😭 they draw air out of his chest for 3 days hoping the luns would recover but that didn't happen..he spent his last days alone in a oxygen chamber and on the last night my husband went there because no one would clarify us on what was happening with our boy,he got to see him and he was so poorly he videocalled me to ask me what to do..we both decided it wasn't fair on kitty to suffer any longer😭😭😭this happened more than a month ago and i still cry at least once a day.Because I am a new mom everyone keeps on saying I got the baby to occupy my time with..but the baby has nothing to do with the guilt and grief I feel all the time...
I got to say my goodbyes before his cremation and brought him home with me🖤I don't know what I can do to stop feeling this way, the pain is so real and terrible..

One day my 12 year old lab is jumping around wild and happy, and two days later he’s gone. Enjoy you’re pets while they’re in your life, and don’t worry about how long their life will be, but instead focus on making memories with them. You will be able to love them forever, but you will not always have them with you.

Thanks for this, Sir. I just lost my dog of 14 & a half years a few days ago. She was in such great shape and then one day she wasn't. It took about a week to figure out her time was about up and any therapies or surgeries were only going to put off the inevitable a few months. It was a tough call to make, but I had a mobile vet come to the home and put her to sleep while I held her and her daughter watched on. I drove her to the crematorium myself and took her in and watched them wheel her back to the furnace room. What a cry I had in the car back home! My wife died from CoVid seven months earlier and she's the one who insisted we get this dog! I like to think my wife was waiting to greet her into the afterlife. I hope anyway. Got a plaque and her ashes prominently displayed by the door. Having a "Cuddle Clone" designed from photos of her that permanently house her ashes. She, her daughter and I will all be buried together one day.
To anyone else going thru this, it's okay to cry over a lost pet. It means your a decent human being.

My parents took my dog away from me..he was lying next to me when I sleep ..he was greeting me with his mouth saliva when I woke up or when I come back from outside..when I'm angry or sad of something I feel like he is comforting me .. making me laugh without reasons....he was the only reason I smile and laugh in the house,and here I am ..alone again..I wrote my words with tears and I'm sure I won't be able to get over it..

I had to put my dog Spanky to sleep this week due to complications of congestive heart failure. I'm really feeling low. My other dog is beside himself, he looks in the backyard all day trying to see his brother. You always second guess yourself-could I have given him a few more days? Couldn't we have strung him along with another procedure? The reality is, when dogs have terminal conditions like this their quality of life can go downhill very quickly. You owe them the responsibility of looking out for their best interests-and sometimes that means making the ultimate call. I miss Spanky, very much. I hope you've found peace in the last 8 months, honeybunny.

My rabbit of almost a year old died today, I watched the color drain from his eyes and his little heart stop beating while I held him in my arms. I still feel like I’m in a dream I just want to wake up and hold him again. RIP Bib, August 2018-July 28th 4:01pm 2019, the best little buddy I could ever have. I love you and I hope you’re last hours weren’t painful. You had the best life a rabbit could ever have, you were loved greatly and I will never forget you.

I don’t have a rabbit but a guinea pig that died at 3:29 this morning. He was four turning five in July. He was such a good guinea pig but he had to die a painful death because no vet near us could cater to “exotic” animals. I have his brother by me and I honestly don’t know what to do. Like I want to buy another Guinea pig and keep the brother happy but I don’t want to deal with the deaths of pets again - it’s a horrible feeling.

I lost my dog in summer of 2019, I soon lost my other dog in September 2020. I miss both of them and afraid of losing my other dogs. I cry almost everyday, sometimes I think if they even remember me. I suffered more when a person said “it’s just a dog.” I was torn because I knew they never knew what happiness pets bring. Pets bring the happiest days of our lives and the saddest days. Whoever is reading this and lost a pet, remember it’s okay to be sad for however long it’s been. I feel for you, I know your pain.

Thank you for your video. I lost m 14 year old Italian Greyhound i raised from pup. It's just her and I and i'm 58. I lost my parents also within the scope of of past 8 years .... all 3 to cancer. This to me is by far the most horrible loss I have ever encountered being she was as your video states pure LOVE. It's been almost 2 weeks i had to make that decision to let her go and the visuals of that day haunt me. She was still happy but suffering. I seriously don't think i'll ever get over her she was my best friend. I've had many animals growing up but at this age and from a baby she was mine and i was hers. She taught me LOVE like no other human. I have to say i never gave thought to losing her ... which was living in the now i suppose but wow - i'm grateful for the time i had spending as her caretaker during cancer and loving her up and her loving me back as always. I cry constantly. I've lost work. I see therapist. It's awful roller coaster. That hug you speak of i so need but my friends seem to have nothing to say, they don't understand she WAS my family and always will be. I journal and I still talk to her. I bought some plants in her memory and also crystals to keep her safe. Yes i had her cremated she is here with me now. For anyone who feels as deeply as I do please reach out for support don't go it alone. xx

I’m here for exactly the same reason. We fostered an Italian greyhound, she sunk into inconsolable pain, we exhausted our funds just to find her illness was incurable bladder cancer. This was my first dog, I had her for four months, I wanted my dog my whole life. I’m 30 now, I waited until I was ready.

I lost my dog this morning and it broke my heart. He died in his sleep thankfully, but I wish I got an opportunity to say a goodbye. I can't stop crying, I spent almost my entire life with him. He had a special spot on my bed and it smells like him. There's no way I can wash these sheets.

My cat of 14 years passed a few months ago back in February and I’m still accepting the loss. I was thankfully able to come visit from college when he passed, but I had to go back only a few days after we lost him. Now that I’m a college grad I am living at home full time again and am feeling the loss way more. We have his ashes which we keep in the box he used to sleep in. I remember him everyday and the unconditional love he showed me. It isn’t easy to not having him here, but I remember just how much he gave me and I fell grateful

My labradoodle was just put down today due to leukemia. I just couldn’t stay for her euthanizing, it was so painful to see her the way she was. She wouldn’t eat and she was losing hair and couldn’t walk. She could hardly open her eyes when I talked to her and her tail no longer wagged when she saw me. Normally when I scratch her belly, she’d kick her hind legs rapidly and it was always funny. She didn’t do that this time. I couldn’t help myself but to cry in that moment seeing her for the last time. I knew it was time to let her rest and that’s exactly what I did. I miss her already and it hasn’t even been 30 minutes. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope I can get over this easily.

My dog passed away about 5 hours ago, they started having seizures back in December but they were very infrequent and minor. Today, he fell down, and never got back up. It was like on off switch, I've never seen a living being die so fast for seemingly no reason. It's hard to deal with, I've had him since my earliest memories. Thanks for the tips.

July 3rd, my dog of 14 years went suddenly yet peacefully. I’m 31 now and she was with me since high school. Needless to say, I’m going to miss having her here to greet me any time I come home. I’ll miss the walks. I’ll miss her begging for my food any time I eat. But when I decide to get a new dog, whenever that may be, it will be a rescue from a shelter. So in some way, my old dog’s passing will be helping another dog to live and I think that’s one of the best ways to honor her.
My pet rabbit of 7 years also passed away on the 3rd. He went in for a routine bladder stone removal but ended up having an infection and didnt pull through post op. Stay strong. Death is not the end but only the begining. Hopefully time heals

I personally couldn’t be part of the drive to the vet today because someone had to be home for my nephews and I’m the most emotional so me driving wouldn’t be safe. Every part of me wishes I could be there for Bobby cat. So my sister and mom are gone right now and I’m here watching this and bawling my eyes out. We had him since we had to hand feed the litter just over 12 years ago. He doesn’t know starvation or abuse. All he knew was warm beds, love, full belly, and so so so many purrs. I’ll miss him so hard.

thank you for this video, I had to have my best friend Roger put to sleep today. (he was diagnosed with a cancerous lump on his tail about 3 years ago, they cut off half of his tail which slowed the cancer down and he was on various meds, the last few months he's just not been himself and it turns out that the cancer had moved to his bowels.
yesterday he took a severe turn for the worst and I had no option, I had to face the thing that's been in the back of my mind for 3 years) last night i slept on the floor cuddling him just so he knew that even at the end I loved him as much as when he would sleep in my bed as a puppy. I think he knew he was dying and I can only hope that this brought him some comfort.

he's only been gone for about 9 hours and I already miss him so much., I feel completely in limbo because I'll have to wait about a week to get his ashes back.
(I'm going to have a little plaque made and bury the ashes next to his favourite shady spot in the garden)
in the past year I have lost my Father, my brother and now my dog, I'm 45 years old and today I've cried more than i ever have in my life.
losing my Roger has brought everything flooding back in one big final blow (it feels that way right now at least)
I feel guilt because I know I should have taken him earlier (we've known about the bowel cancer for 6 months) but I simply couldn't face losing another member of my family so soon I know it was probably a bit selfish to try and hang on for so long.
(since the death of my father i have moved back to the family home and become my mothers sole carer , she is a stroke victim and as you can imagine she's very upset too but Roger was my dog and I was his human, we lived together just me and him for most of his life and we did everything together during that time, at that time i was big into wildlife photography so me and Rog would go out for hours on end just enjoying each others company, him chasing squirrels up trees me desperately trying to get shots of them :)
talking to my mother isn't helping me because she just bursts into tears which sets me off.
throughout this past year Roger was the only one who would always bring a little smile to my face no matter how down i got or how stressed i was with the caring role for mum and I don't know how I'm going to cope without him.
I have had 4 dogs throughout my life and although I remember them all fondly Roger was the once in a lifetime dog.
I stayed with him as they euthanized him and he was very peaceful (they gave him a sedative before the injection) I know I did the right thing for my boy but it is so hard to sit here without him under my desk

My 16 year old cat was put down 5 hours ago, he just had his eye out 2 weeks ago and he was back to being like a kitten now that he was free from the pain. I was so happy he was like himself again, 5 days ago he was diagnosed with kidney failure and now he’s gone. It was so sudden and I just need some help man.

Sorry about your beautiful cat. The vet claimed my cat was dying so she was put to sleep. I keep questioning if the vet was right or not. It's one of those free mobile vet clinics, for low income or no income. She had edema, and she couldn't eat just drink water. I just don't know. 🕊️
i love how you choose your words carefully, saying things that are true but hard to deal with or accept. when I was younger i never thought my cat would die, but i started to realize that over those 20 years.

Thank you for saying that, I felt exactly the same, I was offended and tbh it took all the credibility from the video, even if he "didnt meant it that way". I personally was able to move on rather easy when close relatives died, but the unexpected death of my dog just broke my heart. I hope you are doing well, wherever you are.

This helps me alot, even though my puppy passed away a month ago, I still have a broken heart, he was my best friend even though he was only 4 months old. For anyone who also lost their pet, just remember that their not meant to last your whole life, YOUR meant to be there for them their entire life.

My chihuahua Toby was with me for 7 years. He was the best friend I've ever had. I had to put him down so I spent 10 good minutes with him and was with him the entire time of his passing. The pain is worse than heartbreak. There is no better experience in life than unconditional love. To have a little buddy who just wants to spend every moment with you. They're just to good for this world.

Thank You so much for this video. yesterday my dog died and it was really hard for me. he was hit by a car and then he got sick and when i came to see him he was gone. I really miss him and I know he is in a better place now. I just want to see his smile one last time but I'm still grieving, remembering him. My dog just left us today on Christnas Eve at 13 years old. I loved him so much and can’t seem to imagine my future without him yet. He was the kindest dog in the world and it hurts so much. ❤️

I think one important aspect is that when pets get elderly, we can't keep bringing them to the vet for life-prolonging treatments, because we're then just trying to postpone our own inevitable sadness.

My dog just died yesterday, He has been with me through joy and sadness, ups and downs, and the dog loves you unconditionally. Then all of a sudden died. The feeling is unbelievably painful, I don't want to eat and can't sleep, I always cry when I remember him😭.... I will just go through the process, create a season for the loss to memorialize and remember him.

My cat died yesterday. I dont think he died peacefully, he died while he was awake. His eyes werent blinking, his body was cold. I felt so sad, i cried the whole day. He was a good cat to my family and me. He didnt deserve to die.

My pet dog died last Saturday and until now I'm still in "denial" stage. I always cry at night and Christmas this year will never be the same. His ashes will be delivered this week I know he will be with us emotionally and spiritually. I just want to share something Last Monday I had a dream while I was walking at the beach I saw my him but he was just looking at me, I kept on calling him but he's just looking at me then a man wearing white came near him and they are walking away from me. I know he is already pain free, happy and at peace. Thank you for being with us for 10 years I don't want another pet anymore this is so traumatizing for me.

Yesterday I had to let my 12yr old dog bo go. I was numb and my jaw locked I felt as though it was a dream. Unfortunately it didn't go well as she had bad anxiety. I had to stay stop. Please give a sedative. I whispered in her ear I love you so much. Then a senior vet rushed in and took over. As soon as she done it I saw my bo in spirit she looked back and left with a man in white. And I also had a image in my head of a forest with a winding brook all my dogs were running free. I did cry out it's so heartbreaking. And also I know she is pain free and happy. I just miss her like crazy. The spirit realm is super hd earth where you can create. But I know when I go we will see all our beautiful animals. Thank you for sharing with me.
