    English Breakfast looks great. I'm sorry that I didn't see this video until after I had my Sunday breakfast over here in Brooklyn on the other side of the pond. I eat a healthy size breakfast on Sunday, but to me the English Breakfast is big enough to be called a English Brunch. My wife sleeps in on Sunday, so this feast will be a nice surprise for her.

    There is so much British common sense in your approach and so many great cooking tips. If only there were more people like you, the aged stereotype of "British people have shite food" would be forever banished. Please continue to unapologetically do what you do, and perhaps explore even braver cuisine from the islands in the future!

      Thank you for the comment 😊 I really hope I can do my little part to help dispel myths about modern British food, and help people along the way 🙂 There's so much I want to explore in future videos, the list I have is only getting longer, never shorter 😀

    I'd never thought of using a cold pan, great tip. My Gran always put half a teaspoon of butter into the beans rather than butter the toast, I now can't eat beans any other way. Beans (with a little butter) with fried bread on it's own rather than a full English is still pretty good and one of the few vegetarian things I eat! Great video....

      @RossBamford  Год назад +1

      Thanks! Glad it was useful 😊 I’ll admit I often add butter to my beans too, and loving the idea of beans on fried bread rather than toast 😋 I feel like I might have to have that tomorrow! 😊

    Ross, loving this presentation. Reminds me of a time in South Africa, where a little restaurant on the water in Cape Town had a "traditional" English breakfast.

    Wow! That''s an abundance of food. It looks more like an American portion. I'll try this the next time I'm in Asia and see it advertised in an English establishment. Although, I could never finish all of that in one sitting. Cheers.

    In Australia we are now doing more variety of sausages and finaly got a British style Cumberland.
    The common ones are beef originally, prok was what the British called sausages .
    Bacon yours is raw ours isn't when you buy it.
    We tend to fry or grill tomatoes same with mushrooms.
    We tend fry bread as a opinion. I love it personally but not the norm.
    We dont really add beans that would be a extra.
    Avocado might make a appearance for some.
    Your take on a British breakfast has flare you amped it up .very nice .🇦🇺👍😀

      Thank you! 😊 I just went down a bit of a rabbit hole on Google looking up the differences between British and Australian bacon, very interesting (and a bit weird sounding to me but in a good way, I love the differences in cuisine around the world 😃).

    To someone whose favorite breakfast is one over-medium fried egg in butter or olive oil on one slice of toast, and once in a while two slices of bacon, coffee with cream and honey and a 5oz glass of v-8 with lemon juice. This seems like a lot of food, but then I'm small and he's probably big.

    I'm sorry, it's been proven, washing mushrooms does not harm the flavor unless you're soaking them in bad water.

    • @RossBamford
      @RossBamford  Год назад

      Has it? It still seems to be a matter of some debate 😅. However I do agree that it doesn't significantly affect the flavour, my position is based on the fact that it's unnecessary and results in added work (either drying or extra cooking to remove additional water). Of course, you're in charge in your kitchen - if you want to wash them, have at it! 🙂
