I just came home to Germany after 10 days in Idaho. It was also my first vacation in the US.
If you wonder why I chose a mountain state over the typical tourist destinations: just watch this video again :-)
Exploring this wonderful landscape was one of the most intense experiences in my whole life. And believe me, I have seen many countries. I did also some hiking in these mountains, and it was incredible. Being in the nature for hours and not meeting a single human being were some of the best days ever! I'll come back for sure!!

Thank you so much Oliver for your wonderful comment! So glad you enjoyed our video and especially glad you loved Idaho so much, it is an absolutely beautiful and unique part of the US that we always enjoy ourselves. If you are looking for mountainous nature and solitude you won't find better for sure! What areas did you explore and hike in?

@@sunnyskytravel4571 the visit was originally planned as a 3-day business trip to Meridian only. The decision to expand to 10 days for a short vacation was really spontaneous :D Thus, I had only a few days for planning and the hikes were only in the area between Boise and Bogus Basin, and a hike to the Adelmann mine. But this was enough to fall in love with Idaho!
I also did an car excursion to the City of Rocks and Twin Falls, and short tours to the Oregon border and along Highway 21 to Idaho City.
For me it was also a learning lesson about how to plan a real vacation (2 or 3 weeks) especially concerning the long distances and amount of time to travel between interesting spots. Overall, a memory of a lifetime!

This video was nothing interesting. There are prettier drives through canyons in Idaho, and the frank church wilderness.

It's not scary to me, but I love mountain drives. All depends on the individual I guess. Thanks for watching and commenting.
