Straight up props to Prodigy.. I was small dj in the day & followed Pac before he blew up. Apocalypse now really wasn't discovered until about a year & a half after release because he spit positive political messages in his lyrics when the youth was feeling gangstaism. So I never really understood his beef with Minnesota deep except by association with Biggie. I think the biggest message we learn is what has been taught for ages which is the pen is mightier than the sword.. God how I wish these 2 legends had the humbleness to come together & get an understanding instead of allowing a racist white media destroy them due to jealous motives of what they could not understand. Words are power. Which should make rappers more conscious of the product they produce.
it's funny how snoop said tupac and suge was mad at him for saying that he was cool with puffy biggie and them when snoop was the one that was starting the east coast, West coast beef
Cesar Carbajal lmao snoop didn't start it. They were shooting that video in NY to pay homage but when their trailer got shot up that's when they switch the video up kicking over the buildings
He definitely didn't start that mess with the East. What he was saying at the Source Awards was that they knew they were in NY, 'NY is in the muthaphukkin house' like we have love for yall, but yall don't have love for us because of the boos they were getting. A lot of people had love for NY and listened to NY music, grew up on it, but NY would stay criticizing and dissing all that weren't from the East or followed their format. Speaking of 'their' format, boy how times have changed lol. I'd never thought I'd see the day where the East is now emulating music from those places they used to put beneath them.
P is right ,in NY when 2pacalypse now first came out, a lot of cats in NY weren't listening to him. By his second album "strictly" you started to hear him more on the streets, but he was basically just another rapper. It was his personality and behavior that really started making him a house hold name.
R.I.P man 😞😞 im 21 but I still grew up on u guys, I dropped a tear knowing you died yesterday😔, Mobb Deep and Mos Def and Talib Kwali were my favorite east coast artist I discovered for myself since I was little, also my uncle played that shit and my dad when he was aeound along with all my uncles influenced me with tons of music and documentaries of stories at a young age, alot of East Coast music was my heroes but u guys were leaders and creators of an era, u guys were major leaders in hip hop, it honestly has been making me cry on the inside your gone
I can definitely see where Hail Marry , could have been a Mob Type Joint . So I can see why P would like that Track by Pac... Havoc type of Instrumental
I totally agree with that part cause we weren't really into Tupac either until Hit em up that's when i first really listened I knew Tupac as an actor from 'Juice" He was amazing in that movie!!
So you knew 2Pac as an actor only? The man had a No.1 album (Me Against the World) and was all over the news BEFORE Hit Em Up. He already had released 4 albums (2Pacalypse Now, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., Thug Life, Me Against the World) He had 3 movies (Juice, Poetic Justice, Above the Rim) Had politicians talking shit about his music Been shot 5 times Been framed for rape And also California Love was out and you tell me that you knew him only from Juice? The man was everywhere
Ηρακλής Περάκης Honestly, people love to lie and act like Pac wasent popping before he joined Death Row. That man was the star and in the spotlight throughout his whole rap career from 1991-96. Whether it be for his number 1 albums, run ins with the laws, fake rap charge, shot 5 times, movies, shooting 2 cops, dissing rappers. He was the main man. All these people saying they didn’t know who Pac was back then until his major records are just in denial and lack knowledge.
Just imagine a Death Row East’s album of Mobb Deep’s featuring a lot of Young Noble who Makaveli Records wanted to release a solo project of. That sound of Makaveli applied to those other 3 would be epic
That's live!!! He didn't start liking 2 Packs until he dissed them and came with that gangsta vibe. That lets you know that it was about the competition in Hip Hop and not no real beef. R.I.P Prodigy... SALUTE
East coast never played west coast artists singles on their radio stations, and west coast artists felt disrespected and got fed up. Thats what kicked things off from the start.
That’s a fucking lie. I’m from the east coast... 2pac throughout 92 to 96 stayed on the radio. Snoop dogg..... STAYED ON THE RADIO ESPECIALLY GIN AND JUICE CAUSE I TAPED IT OFF THE RADIO.
mobb deep is my favorite group aside of wutang.. too bad that eastcoast vs. westcoast shit happened but that's part of the game as far as proving the hardest rapper, along with that there comes beef, but man.. I love wutang, mobb deep, nas, snoop, cube, biggie. etc.

Nipsey Hussle and prodigy could be brothers, for real.
DOPE interview!!! R.I.P. to both!!!!
The irony, liking someone once they diss you!.... RIP PAC & RIP PRODIGY!
R.I.P Prodigy😟🙏
I love that last comment from Prod
RIP to one of the greatest contributors to the game.
it's funny how snoop said tupac and suge was mad at him for saying that he was cool with puffy biggie and them when snoop was the one that was starting the east coast, West coast beef
true
Cesar Carbajal lmao snoop didn't start it. They were shooting that video in NY to pay homage but when their trailer got shot up that's when they switch the video up kicking over the buildings
ya wtf these other cats talking about? prodigy's story makes him look like he's the shit and everyone else started the beef
Cesar Carbajal snoops is a snake pac saw through him before he died
its crazy hearing all the different perspectives after so long and how it all started from rap vidoes, lyrics, and award shows.
R.I.P Prodigy, We Love And Miss Mobb Deep.
Rest in peace, Mr. Prodigy.
P is right ,in NY when 2pacalypse now first came out, a lot of cats in NY weren't listening to him. By his second album "strictly" you started to hear him more on the streets, but he was basically just another rapper. It was his personality and behavior that really started making him a house hold name.
RIP Prodigy. Love u man
this man like the song he was dissed in
now that is rivalry at it finest
rip prodigy
Rest In peace, Pac, Big, and Prodigy. I still listen to all three mc’s.
RIP Prodigy & Makaveli thanks for paving the way.
R.I.P Prodigy 🙏🏻 you with the rest of the legends that gone to soon...
R.I.P. Prodigy 🙏🏽
The more videos they do with P the more respect I have for him
I'm sure P, Big, PAC, Pun, Big L, Nip and Nate dogg are having a great convo up above. ✊🏾
Don’t forget Eazy E and Guru.
@@tyjax5119 true say, your right 👍🏿
@bee boo wtf are you talking... ofc he didn't know Nip bc Nip was only 11 years old when Tupac got killed. Damn...
Prodigy kept it 💯
R.I.P
Prodigy handled his bussiness when he did "Drop a gem on em"
Prodigy that nigga for real, he was like keep your head up was cool but when he heard hit em up was when he started like Pac lol haha
r.i.p prodigy my bro
R.I.P Prodigy, You Influenced Many Of Us Big Or Small, I Was Heartbroken After Hearing About Your Passing. Spread Your Wings Brother!
I can definitely see where Hail Marry , could have been a Mob Type Joint . So I can see why P would like that Track by Pac... Havoc type of Instrumental
I totally agree with that part cause we weren't really into Tupac either until Hit em up that's when i first really listened
I knew Tupac as an actor from 'Juice" He was amazing in that movie!!
So you knew 2Pac as an actor only? The man had a No.1 album (Me Against the World) and was all over the news BEFORE Hit Em Up.
He already had released 4 albums (2Pacalypse Now, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., Thug Life, Me Against the World)
He had 3 movies (Juice, Poetic Justice, Above the Rim)
Had politicians talking shit about his music
Been shot 5 times
Been framed for rape
And also California Love was out and you tell me that you knew him only from Juice?
The man was everywhere
Ηρακλής Περάκης Honestly, people love to lie and act like Pac wasent popping before he joined Death Row. That man was the star and in the spotlight throughout his whole rap career from 1991-96. Whether it be for his number 1 albums, run ins with the laws, fake rap charge, shot 5 times, movies, shooting 2 cops, dissing rappers. He was the main man. All these people saying they didn’t know who Pac was back then until his major records are just in denial and lack knowledge.
You only started listening to Pac after hit em up.
No other rapper touched the whole African continent the way Pac did
Rest in peace prodigy ♥
Rip my guy. I grew up on Mobb deep and always be my favourite rapper/trio
"Niggas talk a lot of shit but that's after I'm gone
Cause they fear me in physical form let it be known
I'm troublesome." 2pac
+R.I.P. SEAN PRICE yeah!! Cause tupac is the reason !! That mobb sleep is broke and unsuccesful
Just imagine a Death Row East’s album of Mobb Deep’s featuring a lot of Young Noble who Makaveli Records wanted to release a solo project of. That sound of Makaveli applied to those other 3 would be epic
They're on of the greatest rap duo's of all time
R.I.P brother. May ur humble soul rest in peace
Pac & prodigy would’ve been cool if they was both still alive. Rest easy to both
2pac - When We Ride On Our Enemies
mobb deep- drop a gem on em
@Jddel Ddel Drop a gem on em destroyed pac.
He didn’t even really say shit about Mobb Deep on there. Havoc and Prodigy bodied him for an entire verse.
@@radiatednapkin3446 Yeah he was already dead so..... pretty easy when a mf too dead to diss you back. But he real tho. Hold this L
@@Maal7432 After he was already dead. Niggas didn't say shit when he was out
That's live!!! He didn't start liking 2 Packs until he dissed them and came with that gangsta vibe. That lets you know that it was about the competition in Hip Hop and not no real beef. R.I.P Prodigy... SALUTE
0:37 on point impression
East coast never played west coast artists singles on their radio stations, and west coast artists felt disrespected and got fed up.
Thats what kicked things off from the start.
no it was snoop who started shit, he was a west coast dude
That’s a fucking lie. I’m from the east coast... 2pac throughout 92 to 96 stayed on the radio. Snoop dogg..... STAYED ON THE RADIO ESPECIALLY GIN AND JUICE CAUSE I TAPED IT OFF THE RADIO.
R.I.P "P" we miss you already
P was a real one, maybe not so much in a street active sense, but in a honest, not scared to say what he felt sense. R.I. P. Prodigy.
R.I.P Prodigy & Tupac
mobb deep is my favorite group aside of wutang.. too bad that eastcoast vs. westcoast shit happened but that's part of the game as far as proving the hardest rapper, along with that there comes beef, but man.. I love wutang, mobb deep, nas, snoop, cube, biggie. etc.
grew up listing to mob deep p spit 🔥🔥
watching this for a TB of Prodigy. RIP man
Rest In Peace king . Still bumpin you
RIP Prodigy :(
Rest In Peace Prodigy!!
See, this why I like prodigy. He kept it 💯
