@@gabrielrodriguez6333 Good luck! I assume you're a premed? If you are, there's a lot of dubious advice out there about everyone having to do the same thing to get into med school. You should be able to balance classwork, clinical exposure, and getting involved in something you love (preferably outside medicine).

I feel like this video really just made me more confident in my desire to go into the field. I want to be a doctor to relieve patient suffering and to give my patients advice on how to thrive physically and emotionally. I need evidence based information to foster their well being and resilience. Researching consciousness as an emergent property would be awesome too.
While oncology is an exciting specialty in the western world it is still a depressive one in LMICs in general. I'm a physician (GP) in Cameroon working in a cancer Center and we face alot of challenges as many patients still die due to lack of access to treatment. It is my dream to become an oncologist and a research expert in this field of medicine.
Great overview. Although, in surgical oncology it’s based on general surgery which is the majority but not the only one. Other surgical oncologist include orthopedic oncology, Head and Neck Surgery ( in ENT and some general surgery), nuero-oncology (neurosurgery), gynecology oncology and breast. I would love to have a video on these surgical oncology subclass. It’s worth noting also that, in pathology, there is a subspecality where you can be an oncology pathologist- either hemopathology and even surgical oncology pathology. Other than that good job!
