Ee Vasudha" is one among five songs collectively called the Kovur Pancharatnam keerthanas on the deity at the famous Kovur temple ( 7th century temple of Lord Sri Sundhareswarar/ Thirumaeneeswarar & Goddess Sri Soundharaambigai / Thiruvudai Naayagi, built by Kulothunga Chozha) He sang the song- "Sambho Mahadeva shankara girija ramana ”, as the opening song in praise of the deity Lord Sundareswara in the Panthuvaraali/Kamavardhini s ragam. The next one is this kriti- "Ee vasudha nivanti daivamu nendu ganara"" set in the Sahana Ragam. { Other 3 Kovur Pancharathnamm Keerthanams are ... "kori sevimparare korka lidera' in 'kharaharapriya'; 'nammi vacchina nannu nayamuganu brovave ninu ' in 'Kalyani'; and 'sundarEshvaruni juchi surula juda manasu vacchuna' in Shankaraabharanam'}. Lovely..I did get the same melodious feel of listening vocal by GNB, here on listening the Veena rendition of 'EE vasudha nIvanti daivamu' by Late. Doraiswamy Iyengar , one of the greatest exponents of the veena in modern Indian history.
What a beautiful rendition by the great vidwan. The pace of rendition makes the song so sprightly. The swaras are jumping around from one to the other in his veena. Thank you for posting.

How beautifully played by the legend, the one and only vidwan Doraiswamy.
