When I was a young man in the military, overseas in a jungle I had a national geographic moment. I was approache by a negrito or Shaman. People around me were terrified weapons were drawn. This particular group of people were know as head hunters. As I made eye contact with him we approached each other, each of us bowed. He began to speak someone translated and I received a pair of handmade swords. To this day I still don't understand why out of a whole company of Marines I was singled out. Your song brought these memories back to me. And yes I still have the swords

We need to choose the field of battle so that it is one we can win on. Our enemy outguns us massively. The same was true for Gandhi, Jesus, and MLK jr. They knew that they could not beat the arms of the British Empire, Rome, or LBJ. So they used the battlefield of public opinion. They choose peaceful non-cooperation with evil. This is how we win. Not with AR-15's and body armor. We win by tax protest. Bitcoin, working under the table, and growing veggies and chickens in the back yard. We win by living without feeding the beast that oppresses us.

@@freesk8 "We should boycott and opt out of the system."
Absolutely! For example, considering what Amazon did to Parler, no conservative should ever buy anything from Amazon again, and we should let them know loud and clear why we won't ever buy from them again. It's not like you can't buy the same cheap chinese junk they sell anywhere else on the net. And the same for Apple. Conservatives who own an Iphone should all return them to the apple stores and let them know loud and clear why! Of course, violence is not the answer. However, letting you voice be heard loud and clear and letting people know you take these things seriously and are strongly committed to your fundamental beliefs, is not violences. It's not war! And it's not "insurrection" either.
Also we need to start our own systems. They are the one's pushing us out of their systems. For us to opt out and start our own systems is not "hostility". It's simply self preservation. Parler will be back. It will just take a long time because they will have to setup their own server and such, but when they do, they will be independent and stronger because then no one can take them down. Anyway, we should take no part in systems that are stacked against us. When we support those systems we are supporting harm to our own selves.

I just have one thing to say. Wow !!! You have real musical / story telling talent.
I'm not going to tell war stories people that weren't with me wouldn't care about, but when I joined the USCG, post Vietnam, our primary mission was SAR (search and rescue), and Med-Evacs.
As the 1980's rolled in, our primary mission was changed to law enforcement, and drug interdiction, while still doing SAR and Med-Evacs.
I can tell you, your song hit home and made me think of many times being the first boarding officer to climb aboard a suspected drug running vessel and trying to watch everyone inch of the vessel for a shooter, even though the vessel Captain was told to muster everyone on the aft deck, waiting for the rest of the CG boarding party to board and assist.
You hope your shoot / don't shoot training saves you from shooting an innocent person, but when you're by yourself, offshore, on the rolling deck of an unfamiliar vessel, and your back up is a long way away, you hope if something goes down, you're faster than the other guy.
Adrenaline keeps you sharp. Sometimes too sharp.
    Really good song Bud.
    Thank you for sharing.

    • @ArcoZakus
      @ArcoZakus 4 года назад

      Not The Guardian,
"... the most important thing is to avoid becoming a monster."
People do not "become a monster" so much as they allow the monster that lives (usually hidden) inside of us all to reveal itself.
Whether you are hunting a monster or it is hunting you, if you come face to face your priorities for what is "the most important thing" are not always what you would guess when sitting in a comfortable place discussing philosophy. The most important thing to most people is to survive the encounter. If that looks unlikely you might want to at least keep the monster from harming others you care about. Stuffing your own monster back down out of sight can be dealt with later. (You never know when you might need it again.)
Speaking as a "yank", I am wondering how you can say anything like "you're a revolutionary people" as if we are unified in any way. Even during our founding revolution there were many, possibly even a majority, who were against the revolution.

    • @nottheguardian7955

@@ArcoZakus All generalisations are precisely that: broad brushes, with lots of exceptions. Germany post-unification was more like Prussia than the other constituent states. I know what you’re saying Dave, war is a horrible thing but remember there is a time for everything. there is a time for peace and there is a time for war. evil spreads when good men do nothing. The reality is that there is good and evil. World War II is a perfect example. It was obvious that evil was rising up and those that were good had to put a stop to it. What a shame it is to become a war-monger because of an adrenaline rush. (More like a war-monster.) when evil gets out of control the good have to rise and put a stop to it!

Wow Dave! So glad I subbed to your channel. I’ve been following you on Blue Collar for a long time, since the start practically and I was beginning to feel like I was getting to know you. Man, I didn’t know shit! Now I’m getting to know you a little better. I hope to shake your hand one day and sit down with you. Take care brother.

GBMA... Thanks Dave. Keep it up. Again, get in my direction, I'll buy you a coffee and shake your hand. Keep this channel going. Also BLC for other reasons. Love this. Like the other (someday I'll say the difference). For now, know it's pretty cool from my angle. Thanks, I needed it for the last week. ;) Aces is all I have in comment.

    This sing was quite moving.
"To save..... I gladly killed them all."
Yet it is acknowledged that nothing was saved... So, where do we go from here?

The way forward is not by violence. It is by peaceful non-cooperation with the government. Tax protest. Bitcoin. Underground economy. Vegetable gardens and chicken coops.

Great song for our time! Your other video pointed me here, that Segway was perfect for the lyrics... Eb, yea we do that too, better on the vocals and the hands 😁

Seems there's too much distrust and vitriol on all sides and we keep asking ourselves "how can they possibly think that way." We all think that we're the good guys. It would be nice if we could talk with each other again. Our "leaders" have let us down.

There needs to be a meeting of the minds with both sides admitting fault as well as listening and the plain truth laid out for everyone's perusal.
