- On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

Same thoughts. Rewatched the movie and I agree with what the host said. A lot of the success of the movie is because of her really good portrayal esp her friendship with Bumblebee. She really made it look real and natural.
Her acting in BumbleBee isn't that good. Charlie is so flat.

As an animator, what I love about Hailee is that she's not only a super talented actress AND singer, but with all her voice actress gigs (Spiderverse, Arcane), and having worked with Travis Knight, the director of Bumble Bee, which is also the CEO and one of the best movies directors of his animation studio Laika, without her noticing, she got a solid foot in the animation industry, now !
She can literally do it all, and I'm here for it !
If I ever make it as a successful animation film director, I would love to have her voice my main female character.

wth is the interviewer babbling about??! The audiences asks much better questions. You can clearly see how Hailee reacts differently to the questions.
I really like her. Not only is she a very talented actress and musician but she's also very smart and articulate. Really engaging answers and candid at the same time. Also, she strikes me as someone who truly loves acting and not just after the fame and publicity that comes with it. And it shows because she really brings in good performances in her movies particularly True Grit, Bumblebee, The Edge of Seventeen and even her doing a voice acting is good. Hope she gets more opportunities to tell really good stories through movies.

Hailee was also great as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye. Would like to see her come back as an older Charlie in a future Transformers film. Maybe even a quick scene of Charlie briefly reuniting with Bumblebee.

Nose si fue el entrevistador pero múy buenas preguntas le pregunta como se sintio en el transcurso de la pelicula como fue trabajar en el filme como saco la actuacion para actuar ella sola sin que bumblubee existiera más en su mente y como hacia hablarse a ella misma como se sintio con el productor y director y todo el equipo del filme
