I'm Faren. I big chopped in April 2013. I have medium to low porosity hair, that is super dense at the crown. My haircare regimen includes washing my hair at least once a week, regular treatments (protein, olaplex and bond salve) and trims every 3 months on blown out hair. I am not a hair care professional, and I'm honestly still learning my hair.

I just did not think your hair was wet enough before you put the 808 in
From what I can see you need to do smaller sections and MORE water!!! Your hair needs to be soaking WET and detangled with a styling tool when applying the product, I believe those small changes will give you BETTER results. 💜
Thanks for the tips! My hair was literally dripping water. Maybe I could’ve added more water after the gel but that doesn’t really work for my hair, when I’m using foam.
I’ve tried the 808 again and it just works better with a gel on top instead of the foam. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing with us. I just used the 808 with Jello Shot and I really like it. I've also used it with I Create Hold and lastly I used it with Mousse Def. It last 6 days. I set under the hooded dryer.

Yeah I was disappointed with 808 and the mousse def combo too. It lasted 4 days for me. My hair is like yours and it needs some weight to the hold. However, Uncle Funkys + bee girl custard as a topper is one of my favorite combos ever! You should try it. I’m tempted to try 808 and the bee girl custard as a combo

Just because someone has a loose curl pattern don't mean its damage. Maybe she has less protein in some areas than someone who has 4c hair. Negativity is not a good look

@@liarslie8072 that’s not even heat damage it’s heat train heat losens the curl pattern because the protein bonds are being manipulated. Watering you hair everyday do just as much damages to your hair as heat. If she likes it why tf you hating . Yet you’re here on her page. Let’s see what going in your tresses.
