Eminem has always been polarizing since the beginning of his career. A lot of elements contribute to it.
A white rapper being able to reach that level of popularity and success will always raise some eyebrows.
And his lyrics and subject matter are surrounded by controversy.

Vultures are something that eats without contributing....Eminem lives and breathes the culture, signed amazing artists. Wears tshirts of old school rappers to bring awareness to them, created 2 battle rap movies to help the battle rap culture increase, also did a few battle rap events and put battle rappers in position to shine, also got hip hop radio station....at at time in late 90's early 2000's....all rappers were making movies about selling drugs and shootout, Eminem did one for battle rap....you only see skin color, you don't see anything else, sad
