I owned a fully loaded t6 s90 2017. Absolutely gorgeous, awesome car. My favorite car out of all I’ve had, and I had almost everything including top bmws e.t.c. I still cant get over it, I absolutely loved my s90. If you’re in the market, stop looking, get it
@PentagramReativeX it was a 3 year lease, whoch ended in 2020, i extended it for a few months (they didn't allow for longer). Payoff was too high. That was that
I have a 2017 XC90 T6 R-Design and thanks to you, I just discovered my turn signal blinker replicates the sound of a Swedish spruce tree twig snapping. Thanks to that information nugget, I subscribed to your channel.
Never seen this guy before until just now. Really nice and pleasant review. S90 owner here, was just looking for reviews for fun. I've put some 35k miles on mine. Omar is accurate in all his observations.
Great review. Do you recall if the rear passenger seat controls can be locked/disabled? I have kids so I'm sure they'll see the controls and will want to play with them.
Volvo is all the car should be. But they are out of my personal buy list because of engine options. What I would like to see is something like cast iron V6/I6 diesel, what I am fed is tinfoil 4I benzine brought to it's limits.
No. The lawnmower engine and brittle ride show it not to be on the same level as an E or 5-Series. The only thing it offers is better seats and more space.
Yeah definitely ! But I think I'll wait for Volvo to release the full electric versions... The engine is a bit underpowered for my taste (even though we aren't allowed to drive that fast in my country). But the comfort added with the pneumatic suspension and the fact that it doesn't grab much attention when you look at it is a plus for me. Very nice car for a family and good professional review on your end btw!
Not only would I, I did. I have a 2018 S90. I purchased the top of the line version for the year, although your review shows me that the newer model years have offered a few new features such as massaging seats that were not available in 2018. People here remarking about the power, I have no complaints with mine. Both Turbo and Supercharged, it moves very quickly for a large car. Another plus to the Volvo over their German counterparts is, you won't constantly find yourself at the mechanic shop having to be repaired like the German cars. The only things I wish I could have different on my S90 would be a physical oil dipstick and a permanent disable setting for the engine start/stop. As they are now I have to guess at the oil and then start the vehicle and use the the center screen to navigate to vehicle information and then a sensor will tell me oil level. In my opinion thats technology in a place where its not needed. With the Start/Stop... most cars won't let you permanently disable the system, so thats not a real complaint about volvo. I just find the systems annoying to use and I don't believe the minor gas savings make up for the increased wear on the battery and starter so I wish it would let me turn it off permanently instead of disabling everytime I get in the car.
I have an S90 and my MIL has an E Klass. Both are extremely nice vehicles. Her E is no quieter or more pleasant than my S90. Both cars could use improvement in engine NVH but unless we go back to 1970s Cadillac 500 ci engines,, this aint gonna happen. Comes down to personal preference regarding styling. I absolutely adore older MB but their new design language really turns me off. Volvo in my opinion is now the more conservative and tasteful design.
it's not really underrated but more like lack in design in a really obvious way. if you go and see the new SUV from Volvo the front looks good but the rear looks absolutely outdated. witch
Why do Americans dislike auto start/stop? With the MHEVs it’s completely seemless and if you’re doing average mileage it’s like someone handing you $500 in petrol savings every year.
because the start stop system damages your car in the long run, iam a mechanic. big companies just want you to come to the shop more often once your warranty wears off
@@aleksandarbotic979 How does it damage the car Alex? The starter motor components are different and initiate restart when the engine is warm so where are the weaknesses?
If they going to be an electric only brand that's going to be epic mistake. Everyone doesn't want electric car; I would never buy one they can't be trusted. Cost to replace those batteries and sometimes more than the car.
Just dropped my review of the 2022 Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar Engineered - ruclips.net/video/kQALlysCUm8/видео.html

How much is consumption please?
@mirzahamzic1603 my daily city driving - an easy 20mpg average. Highway 30+
then why you left it?

@@aliziernyare you kidding me thats low , which engine was that, i am thinking to buy s90 2017 or 18 2.0 diesel for taxi , they giving around 50 mpg

Good question! I'm not sure honestly but I hope they do when you turn on child lock
You can by hitting the child window lock button, it will disable all controls on that door, hope this helped!
Dude S90 looks just as good, may be better, than the German rivals...check out black/blue/white color ....
8:03 indicator and horn test
Very good review, honest, subjective & clear, however I hate that Volvo thing 180 km speed limiter

Loved everything about, but they really need to update their tech, especially the infotainment system
I own a 2024 S90 T8 Recharge. Love it. Traded my 2021 S60 for the s90
man I love Volvos! I own 2002 S60 and I'm considering latest S60 or this S90, but can't really decide!

Well done China for quality interiors as always!
FYI that seems to be the long wheelbase version.
China?!? Its Swedish, their is no long wheelbase version of this vehicle..
@@russmode I've heard that Volvo is starting to make some of their cars in China now even for American models.
It's not better than german cars, but definitely better than some of them.
Definitely better built. Built like a tank
I love this car

I’d take a Volvo over a German car. Maybe it’s because I’m Swedish 🤷🏼♂️

Why would you even mention SUVs when compared to the S90, when the obvious alternative is the V90?...
It's still a 4 banger.
I think that Volvo is going to need more of vitamin B in the business.
Should be B12 for the next performed car.😂
I just wish they offered a V6 or I6 :(
Solid review. Thank you.

Volvo seems like the soccer mom luxury car. Same with Polestar, they are the soccer mom EV.
