Maybe the volvo gearbox is a bit slower to respond on everyday cars but I think it might be a good thing. If you not having a race car you really dont need a super kickdown gearbox. Its Quick enough. And because it slower it is smother and not a instant pressure on the gearbox which make them last incredible long. Many cars need to change their gearbox after a time, but I know lots of volvo cars that have driven over 400 000 km (216 000 miles) Of course other cars can go that long with the same gearbox but I feel its more common for volvo. Mercedes is also long lasting cars althoug have falled back a little the past decade.
if you slam the throttle in the volvo while in comfort then the acceleration will not respond immidietly for safety reasons. if you slam the gas in dynamic mode its instant
also on the BMW, it has another feature for the boot, if your hands are full of stuff then you can open it by using your foot, place your foot under the bumper, that's another way of opening it.
Volvo design is the most refreshing. Infotainment frustrates. More upright and stiff. Um...2018 Audi A4 wagon or Allroad? That's all I see around my neighborhood.
I think that delay is there for a reason. It is a safety feature :) If I am not mistaken, VW also had it on their Golf's at some point. You had to press the pedal a second time in order to get a kickdown - in case you fell asleep or something.
I really think you should do the test again, now when the Volvo D5 engine has got the 'Power Pulse' feature. An extra compressor, to get instant response when you touch the gas pedal

Many cars need to change their gearbox after a time, but I know lots of volvo cars that have driven over 400 000 km (216 000 miles)
Of course other cars can go that long with the same gearbox but I feel its more common for volvo. Mercedes is also long lasting cars althoug have falled back a little the past decade.
if you slam the throttle in the volvo while in comfort then the acceleration will not respond immidietly for safety reasons. if you slam the gas in dynamic mode its instant
Love the Volvos. Got a 2nd gen XC90 myself, but God Volvo chuck in a V8 to some models!
also on the BMW, it has another feature for the boot, if your hands are full of stuff then you can open it by using your foot, place your foot under the bumper, that's another way of opening it.
Volvo design is the most refreshing. Infotainment frustrates. More upright and stiff.
Um...2018 Audi A4 wagon or Allroad? That's all I see around my neighborhood.
Love the side profile of the Merc and the Volvo is nice too
I go with volvo, I love anything from Sweden!!
So you like ikea to
Great test! For me it's the Volvo, but the CC version.
The 5 series interior is superb and wins against any of its rivals.
Exactly. As interior and control is 90% of what you do with the car as a driver ... we have a clear winner.
I think that delay is there for a reason. It is a safety feature :) If I am not mistaken, VW also had it on their Golf's at some point. You had to press the pedal a second time in order to get a kickdown - in case you fell asleep or something.
I'm just glad there's no Audi.
Audi seems a bit obsolete now that volvo has stepped their game up.
Yeah, Volvo
Lol imagine if they had an rs6 instead of the volvo
Audi A6 maybe would have won if participated here
Why would you need/want another Audi when you already have an Audi?
My dad has 2017 Volvo V90 and it is such a nice car. He is going to get new one this year. Cannot wait to have a ride with it
However the Volvo gas made an amazing car

Matt I'm really liking your presentation style! Great job mate! The fake exhaust tips wind me up too, given the money you're paying ...
The Volvo is the best car!! Why you don't have the Volvo t6 power puls
Axel Pihl v90 sucks
Philip J your life sucks lmao
@@drterrible8069 v90 is a toy cars compared to e class
I really think you should do the test again, now when the Volvo D5 engine has got the 'Power Pulse' feature. An extra compressor, to get instant response when you touch the gas pedal
Mercedes E-Class is the best!
Juliano Dixon also the fact that there is a wagon and coup version of it!
It's an unreliable endless money pit
You do get the self driving with nobody in the mercedes. But you don't have to have a huge key. It's an app on you phone. Quite better in my opinion.
The merc is clearly the winner in looks, ride comfort, interior and driver/passenger comfort.
I chose the beamer. Taking delivery next month :)
Pretty good for Volvo!!
Got a v60 and it's truly the sexiest of the estates, which is crazy to me
the swedish car magazine 'vi bilägare' had the same cars in for test and they came out: 1st 5 Series 2nd V90 3rd: E-Class
Jakob Sachse hur fan kan e klass komma sist förklara gjärna
E63S best looking Estate ever
Bmw
Gamer Boy Sorry its just my opinion, I really like the bmw estate, most of the time I’d choose the sedan versions of the Mercedes over bmw, but I really like the bmw.
Agree Bmw for life
yeesh
I was actually test driving Volvo and BMW - the two are not comparable. Volvo is soft and slow, swings on corners. Its autonomous system (pilot) works only up to 140 km/h while bmws up to 210! Also BMW system works while Volvo bounces off the lines several times and falls out into neighbouring line and probably crashes into a rail by the road...
Also - you could get 550d with 400 hp and 760 nm and dynamic drive system removing all that fluffy feeling on the corners... night drive, laser beams and several other fantastic and unique solutions. I bought one and will get it soon.
The merc is bigger but I get one when I retire (providing they do sth with the dials!!!)
Volvo is just the car of the future
I'd get the A6, looks the best and like the interior design too even though it's not the newest
Absolutely loving the BM 👌😍
Hi man because of your great videos I bought myself the Mercedes-Benz E200. And I may say iam impressed! Grtz
