I'll say this now and edit the comment after to see if I'm right. My prediction is that Tom won't beat the pole time because the track model is quite inaccurate. I know there's probably better, laser scanned models. The T1-T2 is way off, the T6-T7 is a lot tighter than real life and the curbs are way too high. The "mickey mouse chicane is also a bit off. I don't doubt Tom's driving at all so we'll see what he can do.
EDIT: Yeah I was right, Tom put in a stellar effort but it's definitely down to the track model being really inaccurate. I also noticed that there's way more elevation change than real life, and some of the corners (mainly in S1) are weirdly cambered quite a lot. Maybe the car model has a part to play as well, but I think most of it is down to the track. I mean Piastri's fastest lap in the race was only 1 second slower than this, on mediums and a bit higher fuel. Good effort regardless
And the mod aswell seems a bit off, not even reaching 331 km/h, while irl they reach 338+ km/h
@@GuilhermeGB. It might be because on that straight it seemed to me that the DRS activation line was placed later than real life. I agree with user... the track wasn't accurate, apart from what you have said in the first comment also turn 3 should have been flat like in real life and on F1 23, while Tom was struggling to put the power down.

I also could have set the track grip higher to compensate, but I think it was still too far off.

tbh its probably the mod quality for SuzQ's RB20 and the quality of the Miami mod mixed with the track conditions

Best I could do was a 1:27.500 with the rss fh23. I think this suzq car mod is a bit too slow. With the vrc fa23 I bet it would be a lot easier to beat pole.

You haven't beaten the pole time , but the lap is decent , anyway. Please use real F1 overlays , it will make your videos more realistic
Those overlays don't have good FPS.
@@Tom97 If you acquire licensed SIMHub - it doesn't reduce fps at all , also there are a few decent Assetto corsa apps that may be useful
