- In this video I show you how I made this five barrel stand up fishing boat. It is not super fast, but it has a ton of storage. Thank you for watching.

Very cool! I would add foam in the outter barrels before inserting ice chests for added buoyancy incase of other boats speeding by and large wake fills them with water.
This one is a keeper IMO, but 2 more barrels on the back and WIN.
I've noticed recently that many of these DIY videos are now putting up safety disclaimers telling viewers not to copy what you're building cause you're not an engineer or professional builder. How do you know if the people watching have an engineering kind of mind or not. I'm an Air Force veteran and was trained as an airframe repair specialist. We're told that we were being given a million dollar education. I used to repair, rebuild, and modify A-10's. You know, the aircraft known as "warthogs"? I can't help but feel a little insulted by these disclaimers telling me not to try and duplicate the things I see getting built. I actually do have engineering experience. And one of the most important things the military teaches is, "the mission first, safely". These words were written in five foot tall letters on one of the inner walls of the hanger that the airframe repair shop was part of. If there's one thing most important to me when it comes to working with my hands, it's safety first, always. Also, if someones sitting in their home watching you build something, how do you expect them not to be inspired by what they see you doing. Of course people might want to copy you, and if they don't know what they're doing, there's nothing you can do about it anyway. Even if they hurt themselves while trying to duplicate what you've built, again I say, there's nothing you can do about it. And all the disclaimers in the world are not going to change that fact. If someone smart copies you, then they can have fun on the water too. If someone stupid copies you, and they end up getting hurt or even worse dead, all of that stupid persons friends and family already know that they're stupid, and they are the ones who have the responsibility of stopping their stupid friend from copying what you build. Or at least I think that's the way the world should work. Just my opinion, and I'm allowed to have it.🖖😎👍
❤❤❤ bon travail
Was trying to think up some way to make an affordable aquatic bike and stumbled onto your channel, very inspired. Thanks for posting your designs.
Cool, I'm glad you found some value here :)
I think I need to build me one of these.. like this one here but being I am 6'2" and 260lbs I think 3 barrels on each side might be better for me ... I have a few smaller lakes that this would be so fun to take out on... rig up a fish finder like a Garmen Strike 4.. have some 10lbs anchors... could make a nice Crappie/Panfish boat
Should have filled the side drums with foam gives u better buoyancy balance the cooler idea was great but u over killed it bro
When you open up the barrel, its floating ability will reduce alot,..
Five coolers, an electric motor that'll spin the boat... this will likely be a twenty five year commitment to "every day after work" and "all weekend, every weekend" fun....
I absolutely love this. I'm getting on this after my next paycheck. I would add one more thing to this construction: Some kind of Water impervious *Polyvinyl Chloride* Foam to make it virtually unsinkable. If those barrel pontoons take on water for any reason, the foam core will be your back-up to keeping you afloat.
Would this work if every drum was 55 gallons? Would that make it more buoyant? And does it change the strength of the motor required?
As always I’m amazed by your creations!!! Great job
Thank you :)
Interesting build.
It was a lot of fun :)
Where’s the round fishing vessel you working in it I can’t wait to see it
Attaching an outrigger support would be more stable
❤❤❤ pourquoi ne pas mettre 3 tonneaux de chaque côté pour plus de stabilité et remplir le vide par la mousse expansive ?
Another amazing boat! Thanks for the shoutout!
Any time, thanks for the great product :)
Im thinking of a similar frame idea tvat folds bk into a drum
Nice job. I am going to attempt a similar project
I really like this one out of all your boats. Great job and enjoy your posts.
Nice, I'm glad you liked this one the best. Thank you for the comment and the compliment :)
For a nose cone on these have you ever looked at coroplast, you could take a sheet and roll it up and around the bottom and then tie together at the front in a V then leave top open. Very light weight as well.
You could fasten to the front of eash barrel with screws or rivets.
I like it, thanks for the tip :)
good morning
Good morning my friend :)
Wow great video just what I've been looking for. Thank so so much.
Cheers Don ❤😊
Thank you :)
What is your engine
That is a Minn Kota 55lb thrust trolling motor, thanks for the question.
It would be a great help if you would include a material list and an idea of where to find the parts.
Thank you for the interest. Unfortunately, I no longer sell the material list. Thank you for understanding.
Awesome build, great video.
Thank you, glad you like it :)
For a boat with such stability, it will not be superfluous to learn the Eskimo Roll :)
:)
maybe one of those foam cylinders in the rear to keep the boat from going backwards like it did at the end
Great idea, thanks for the tip :)
Witaj . Super łódka. Jakiej grubości są ścianki tych rurek?
I used 1/2 in, 3/4 in, and 1 inch EMT for this project. Thanks for the question.
Witaj. Jaką grubość mają ścianki rur EMT - 3 mm?
I had to look it up on google, the answer was a wall thickness of 0.042in or 1.07mm. Thank you for the question.
Looks like you might needs a little weight in the front. I like it, great job.
You are correct, I think I need to rearrange a few things. Thank you for the comment, I appreciate it :)
Or a little less weight in the back.
😁👍thanks for teaching...
My pleasure, thanks for the comment.
Very NICE.
Are plans available?
Thank you for the compliment, but I will not be making any plans for this boat. Thank you for understanding.
