As a colourblind wargamer, having paints clearly labeled as different shades of another colour is so incredibly helpful.

Yes, please! I can't tell you how many times I've stared at 2 bottles and tried to figure out which one is darker. "Green 1-5" going from lighter to darker (or vice versa) is always I've always dreamed of

Marketing team for sure, but honestly it's the entire company. Product Development, production, management, you name it. I don't think we could ever have seen something like what we've seen from them over the last few years without the entire company being fully behind it. :) it's great
No one is concerned with 700% more pigment they’ll dry out in the bottles in months? Not saying it’ll happen but after being burnt by speedpaint v1 I’m personally going to wait and see.

Well, finally someone did something for ordinary people. Good descriptions, a color scale that makes it easier to buy specific paints, a lot of time saved and even more pleasure and fun. GJ ! :D
I'm 30 years old now, I started painting models when I was 11. Back in those days all we had were the occasional in-depth tips on a white dwarf magazine, and the couple of recommended paints on the back of a box of models. There just wasn't any really solid information on what paints would look like what. I relied on input from other painters to help with this. These days there are all sorts of images, comparisons, and videos online that help with all of the things that I struggled with as a kid and young man. These paints however are going to help so many hobbyists avoid the same pitfalls and growing pains that I experienced as I got more and more into the hobby of painting. Indeed they have finally done a favour for the regular people.
But january is too far away

I'm not actually color blind but from an artistic stand point, I am defiantly color blind so the color triads are a game changer for me. More or less a must have for me

Ha, I feel this. I'm so terrible with color theory. Having a system that says "highlight with one of these colours, dummy" is so great for me.
If this turns out like you are demonstrating, between this and your SpeedPaints 2.0, you will have converted me 100% loyal Army Painter for life.
They converted me with the simple economics of their lines. They offer multiple grouped box sets, they are cheaper than other repaints, they use dropper bottles.
I've painted with p3, I've painted with Citadel, no paint line is without its problems. They bring up amazing points about how no paint is made the same and they are trying to change that. I've had Citadel paints that have splotchy coverage and I've had Citadel paints dry out after barely using them. For paints that cost more and come with less, that's inexcusable. I have the entire warpaint line and although there are a couple that have poor coverage, the set on the whole is a great paint set. I'm excited to see this new line and I guess I better start saving up for January.

The paint is pretty good from the sampler. However what Iam impressed with the most is the labels 😂.

I talked to someone whocgot to try them, and they are a pretty grounded and reasonable person. They were effusively excited, and said that they felt too good to be true.

I have been a Vallejo user for a while but have kept an eye on army painter for their innovative ideas. This is the product I've been waiting for and I can't wait to buy it!
Getting kinda hyped for this. Honestly I didn't used to like army painter paint. But my option turned around with the speed paint line, I like the og speed paint for some things, but 2.0 is also an improvement over the original and far less finicky. With the cost of hobbying in general going up with everything else, I hope that army painter can knock it out the box with this one. I will say I got one of the free bottles with my order, and I'm going to paint up an old ultramarine this weekend to see how it performs.
Printing the tone level directly on the bottle is a stroke of genius.

The flex triad is brilliant, especially for hobby tabletop painters who like a bit more individuality but got problems with colour consistency of the shades when mixing on a wet pallette and making additional models after some time.
And on top, very sympathetic video, it seems you really are paint fanatics too. 😊
The ArmyPainter was my first hobby paint, I own almost every color, but I eventually bought many many other brands and even though some had great quality I always found myself reaching for the ArmyPainter bottles. I am definitely excited about this and proud to have supported this brand.
I think the most amazing thing is, you talked to the great unwashed and got onboard peeps who paint figures. The result speaks for it'self a company who actualy listens to what it's final users want. Get's my vote and money every time. Looking forward to trying these paints.
I just got back into miniture painting again after 20 years. This seem to be the perfect time. This paint range seem to bring acrylics to a entierly new level. Only negative is now I want to wait for this range and not waste my money on other ranges. It seems that I want the Mega set and then build the entire set.

I got the ultramarine blue as a present to my order. I tried it on one mini and now I want to paint every mini in ultramarine blue. This paint is 100% the best!!!
man, seeing the yellow going down so nicely, i remember back in the day trying to paint scythes of the Emperor, which is Yellow and black marines, and how much of a PITA it was painting the yellow over a black basecoat, wish i had your paints back then
I was taught to use black primer back in the day and painting yellow sucked ass lol. I think I used to apply snakebite leather from Citadel as a basecoat over the black, then I would apply yellow paint on top of that. Here's hoping those days are over!
January is on par with my earlier estimate. Though I would want to have it sooner of course. Happy birthday to me I guess!

Personally, I never liked the acrylic line besides the washes, but seeing this has really made me reconsider The Army Painter as a brand. Im excited to buy some to use for my painting Instagram! Great work Army Painter!

My preferred method to paint is go with a speedpaint and then edge highlight. I have most of the AP SP 2.0 line and use that for all the non-metallic basecoats. I don't want to do repeated edge highlights in most cases, so I like a higher coverage and bolder paint for that purpose. So I'm pretty sure these will slot well into my line up. Looking forward to giving them a shot!
I’m hopeful that these are everything you say. I’m definitely investing in at least a starter set. I’ve said it before both of your Speedpaint lines have been excellent, 2.0 is truly incredible.

Oathsworn just showed up and I am excited to try a new paint set for these models! I will be using this range and creating RUclips videos of the process. I haven't used Army Painter before but I am excited for this and will wait for its release....maybe I'll just do terrain until then.

I just decided to paint my copy of Cthulhu: Death May Die about a month ago. I think I got into this hobby at the best time. Look forward to this line, and hope to slowly accumulate these colors over time. Thankfully I didn't splurge, and buy every single Warpaint in the original lineup 😅
As someone who recently started the hobby in the past few months. Speed paint 2.0 has been a life saver and I’ve been wanting to try traditional acrylic paints but couldn’t figure out where to start. Looking forward to these! I’ve found myself enjoying the hobbying side more than I thought!

Loved the Army Painter range when they were still in the old bottles, love them now. Really thinking about using my end of the year bonus for a complete set. They really are worth it as far as my gut tells me. I hope we get a new updated colour conversion chart with it. Until we do I will use the old ones z-as I do with my standard warpaints.
From the first day I opened my studio I have been using the Warpaint line. I have always enjoyed using them. While I have added some odds and ends here and there, the vast majority of the paint on my desk still comes from that line. I am excited to get my hands on these because the flexible triad system seems like a great way to save time. Combining that with the line's supposed opacity, I could see myself making the switch fairly quickly. I cant wait to give them a try!
