I think the soft voice is Chara. I think in this Sans (with Gaster taking control) is FIGHTing alongside Boyfriend to stop Chara who is controlling Frisk's body. Either the ending is Boyfriend landing a killing blow using his weapon to attack or Chara landed the blow instead.
