Not sure if the product is defective or if it has a poor design. The screws for the hinge are WAY TOO BIG for the pre-drilled holes. Spoke to customer service who first claimed that the screws should be self-taping. Now they send me replacement screws but they are still to big for the hole.
This door has an issue with the security locks. It has malfunctioned before and how now locked shut and my family is locked inside my house... The door is so secure, now I cannot open it without busting out the door jam. Major design flaw!!!! Buyer beware!

UPDATE from Scott Weiss: Thank you to Unique Home Designs and Home Depot. They got the door opened and my family could safely get in and out after elevating my issue to store manager. After a few weeks they were able to resolve by replacing the lock by coordinating with UHD. Now my only complaint was the hassle I had to deal with and had to demand to go thru store management to get it taken care of. Anyways, in the end, the door lock is now fixed and I am glad both Home Depot and UHD worked together to stand behind the product and get us taken care of. Thanks again!
@@cortneyweiss2 so it sounds like you would now recommend this type of door to your friends and family...i really like the way the look but i dont need any problems with a 1100 dollar door.
Mostly due to the screen itself...as I installed mine I realized just how weak af the lock, and three catches are...but that screen...can take a hurricane 2x4...all else would take too much time to really break in etc so...

Lol they were fine bro...😂bt perhaps QAQC was bad for yours...mine were tight but both the screws and door had a coating which you gotta get through.
