Firstly, thank you for the sermon and your love for the body of Christ. 🙏 A couple points that perhaps you can help me to understand: I. I thought that when we give our life to Christ and believe in faith through Christ in the resurrection as atonement for our sins, that His spirit dwells within you, (upon being saved)? Ie, “in Christ through faith” eph 2:8-9. So then how does a person becomes “more or less” filled with Gods Holy Spirit depending on anything we do if it’s not through us, but through Christ? (Of course I understand that we can ‘grieve the Holy Spirit’ in a multitude of ways but that doesn’t seem to biblically change the nature of the Holy Spirit or the strength of the Spirit in our life because it’s not our spirit but Gods spirit as God/Holy Spirit/Christ. Which according to the Word is unchanging, omnipotent and omniscient according to Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8). II.) The point you make about being whole in the church seems to insinuate that without the people of the church such as the elders,(per your example), somehow lessens our ability to have wholeness in Christ alone and in Gods ability to do any miracle in our life according His will for us? Coll 2:10. Although it is a blessing and a helpful part of our walk as a Christian throughout our life, I can’t find any verses that make the power of the Holy Spirit more or less available based on our environment or words but God doesn’t change according to the Word. Mal 3:6 , Heb 13:8. Thank you and God bless. 🙏 I was hoping for clarification and perhaps biblical reference to clear up these questions if possible? Thank you for your time and God Bless. 🙏
